I have experience with two of their top competitors. Neither competitor came close to Goldcast's level of customer support from onboarding to Goldcast to day-of-event support. Overall, we were very happy with the customization capabilities of the platform. What do you dislike about Goldcast? As an event organizer, there's not much to dislike about this platform. With any product requests that could come to mind, they were already well-underway on Goldcast's product roadmap (which they openly share!) What problems is Goldcast solving and how is that benefiting you? Everyone knows that there are engagement "wow" factors that just can't be replicated virtually. Of all the tools we surveyed back in 2020 when we realized we'd need a virtual tool, Goldcast comes the closest at creating a fun experience online. Goldcast makes webinars fun again! I never feel bored or distracted by other things when attending events hosted on the Goldcast platform thanks to features like 1:1 messaging and video calls, being auto-redirected along the agenda without having to click in and out of sessions, and embedded apps like Pac Man that can be played without losing view of the main stage. I’m excited for Goldcast to launch their new Series product in late Q3 as our team will certainly make use of this upcoming feature. Our team has been using Goldcast for 2 years now for our developer events. Very happy with the experience both from a user and attendee standpoint. The post event feedback from our developers has been very positive and our community across the globe likes the translations/captioning/accessibility features that Goldcast has to offer. I particularly love the backstage area that lets our speakers convene and test their microphones before they hop on stage. Because Goldcast provides abundant setting options, it can get confusing trying to set up your webinar/virtual event. Goldcast is easy for everyone to use - administrators, speakers, and attendees. It can be fully branded with just a few clicks and a style guide. What do you dislike about Goldcast? I feel like my CSM is very disengaged with my account. I don't necessarily need the support, but I don't feel I will get any better support by going directly to them with my needs instead of the support team. I anticipate that the most I will hear from them is when it's time for renewal. I reuse the same branding for most webinars but can't create an actual template to copy. So I'm duplicating past events, which increases the potential for error if I miss something that was specific for the previous webinar. Some of the most simple reporting (like attendance status for all registrants) doesn't exist, so it can be tough to find the root of a problem with an integration. If you air something simulive, the recording has to be done through another platform or recorded in Goldcast as a live webinar, which means someone can register for it if they find the reg page.
