The most helpful are its code inspection tools, which help catch errors early in the development process, and its fast and reliable performance even with low end spec machines, also when working with large and complex codebases. The downside for me is that it's paid a bit expensive, particularly for an individual or a small team, there are some glitches and i feel that the learning curve is steeper than other tools. It help me in writing a more efficient and bug-free code; unlike other tools, it provides all-powerful full tools and features for Go Lang. What do you dislike about GoLand? Writing code takes much more time than, for example, writing in Python. There is a lack of frameworks, for web development, such as Django with ORM. It's sleek, smart, understands the code very well and still has the bells and whistles of its bigger brother - Intellij IDEA. For example database connectivity, understanding SQL, inis, yamls and makefiles are all there for you. Good docker integration, feature-rich and quite performant. IDEs from Jetbrains have been a great help, especially in refactoring code for years for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about GoLand? Of course, once in a while, the JVM will run out of memory and/or do something else that would freeze the entire UI. Contrary to some competition, Jetbrains IDEs aren't yet fully prepared for a misbehaving subprocess that has trouble executing (for example when indexing the code or coloring an enormous file are going to be difficult, they won't happen asynchronously with basic renders). Having said that, it's rarely a problem on a memory-rich Linux or Mac machine. Windows' poor memory management is the trigger for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
