Everything! But seriously the ability to see every student's screen and their other tabs is so helpful. You can block certain sites or make it to where only one site is accessible for that session. I also like that I can see how long they have been idle and how long they have been working. It's very useful when I am gone and I can see how my students used their time with a sub. The chat feature also comes in handy when I am gone and can be online. I can monitor my student's activity and I'm available to help them with anything that they may need me for. Honestly, there really isn't anything I dislike about GoGuardian. The only thing that ever got on my nerves was the issue of not being able to control the students' screen if they were logged in another teacher's session still, but they added a feature to fix that! I love that you can schedule sessions daily and during a specific time-frame. I love the ability to have sessions emailed after they are over. This way I can go back and scan what students were doing if I wasn't able to look at the session in real time. I love to be able to see each student's screen when it's in the live session! I also love the ability to send a private chat to a student that is off-task or needing help without making a big deal about it in front of the whole class. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It would be nice if the timeline showed all my students on the page, but I have to scroll down to view them all and then move the tab over to view the activity over the hour I have the session live for (even on the smallest option available). I am departmentalized and I wish I had the option to view all of them at the same time (this might be something that can be solved within my district). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that I can see what is on the student's screen, and even send them a private message, "You are doing great!" or "Here is where you can find that information". I have even sent private messages like, "I know that Mario Bros is so much more interesting than English, but can I get you to focus on this for a few minutes?" I do not like that I cannot see students who are not using school Chrome books. I have about 20-30% who are using a personal computer, instead of checking out a computer at the district. I cannot see what they are doing or offer them any kind of critique. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The private chats are great for communication and student privacy vs. typing in the Google Meet. I like that I don't have to email students so often and can resolve any issues in the goguardian chat box. It is very helpful to all of us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't like how I can't always view their screens and sometimes the timeline doesn't reflect what they actually did. Sometimes the site is down which is really frustrating when I am giving an exam. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

With GoGuardian, I like the fact that I can actually see and monitor how my digital students, who are not right in front of me in my classroom, are spending their time during class. It helps me redirect them with its chat function. The chat function also lets me know, when my messages are left unopened, that the student is nowhere near his/her computer and is completely off-task. I also like how I can set sessions to automatically start and track the students' online activity even if I don't log in to GoGuardian. It's a good form of documentation. When I open GoGuardian while having other programs running, my computer's performance slows down. Therefore, I have to be conscious of how often I rely on the software to monitor students. Another thing about GoGuardian is that though I can send messages to students, those messages do not save.
