"GoDaddy strengths and limitation."
5/5
What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?

The control panel is one of the more intuitive in the registrar space. DNS editing, nameserver changes, forwarding, and subdomain setup are all centralized and relatively easy to execute. The cost is competitive with other registrars. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?

The renewal pricing compared to the first year cost, can jump significantly. The up-sell is aggressive during checkout pushing add-ons that I don't need. This creates creates friction, especially for technical users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Domain Management with Cost Concerns"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?

I appreciate that setting up GoDaddy Domains was very easy, even for someone not very skilled initially. The documentation and help videos were incredibly useful and helped me become proficient with the service. Additionally, I found the process of transferring domain names to other hosting services to be straightforward and the easiest I've encountered. The affordability of GoDaddy compared to other domain providers is another compelling aspect that might prompt me to choose it again. The combination of these features makes my experience with GoDaddy exceptionally positive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?

I find the pricing of GoDaddy's hosting services to be on the higher side. I believe the cost should be lower. Additionally, I would prefer a simple plan that includes both domain and hosting services at a more affordable price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Domain registrar and manager. Great but expensive"
2.5/5
What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?

GoDaddy domain management dashboard is clean and efficient, offering straightforward access to DNS management, domain forwarding, and WHOIS privacy toggles.

It handles bulk operations well, allowing to update settings across multiple domains simultaneously without repetitive manual work.

The domain search feature is quick, with real-time availability checks and suggestions for alternative extensions if a preferred domain is taken.

One of GoDaddy’s strengths is its tightly integrated ecosystem. You can easily bundle domain registration with hosting, professional email, and a website builder. This integration is especially valuable for small businesses or individuals launching their first online presence, as it minimizes the need to coordinate between multiple vendors.

The inclusion of a free SSL certificate for the first year and basic hosting with select domain purchases adds initial value, though as noted later, this benefit is often offset by subsequent costs.

24/7 customer support via phone, live chat, and email. In my experience, their support agents are generally knowledgeable about domain-specific issues and can resolve most problems quickly.

The availability of multiple support channels increases the chances of getting timely help, which is crucial during urgent domain-related incidents.

The platform supports a vast array of top-level domains, including both popular options like .com and .net, as well as country-specific extensions and newer niche TLDs.

GoDaddy offers standard security features such as domain locking to prevent unauthorized transfers, two-factor authentication for account access, and optional WHOIS privacy to reduce spam and unsolicited contact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?

The major point of friction with GoDaddy is its pricing model. Initial domain registrations often come with attractive discounts, but these are temporary. When renewal arrives, the costs jump significantly, frequently surpassing what competitors charge for the same services.

The checkout process further complicates things with heavy upselling of add-ons, some of which are selected by default. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
