"Terrible Support for Domain Issues"
0/5
What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?

It's okay, easy to sign up, use and purchase with GoDaddy Domains. Very easy to signup, login and purchase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?

I had a proper payment profile with them but they didn't charge my card to renew my premium domain, even though they charged for other renewals. I was frustrated when I tried to renew the domain right after it expired, as the payment system kept giving an error and not adding the right amount. I tried multiple times with their support and another card, but the issue stayed the same. I feel they need a proper staff who knows better than the customer talking to them. "Comprehensive Domain Management with Room for UI Improvement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?

I really appreciate how GoDaddy Domains provides an easy-to-use, simple domain management experience, even for non-technical users. I find its intuitive dashboard and reliable DNS management features particularly beneficial. I love that the platform simplifies searching for available domain names, buying new domains, renewing current registrations, managing DNS records, and setting up domain forwarding. The ability to manage multiple domains under one account and seamlessly link them with hosting, email, and other web services makes my life easier. Effective management of DNS is crucial for my web services, and GoDaddy Domains delivers by allowing easy modifications without technical skills, which saves me time and effort. The platform's centralization of domain administration helps keep everything neat and organized, avoiding downtime due to misconfigured settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?

However, while GoDaddy Domains is a trustworthy service, there is room for improvement regarding its renewal costs and constant sales of add-ons. The cluttered appearance of the control panel can become distracting. Improved clarity of the pricing plan and simplification of the user interface will improve the user experience significantly. I think that there needs to be some clear pricing information, particularly regarding renewal plans and any extra services. Also there is need for the reduction of promotional pop-up windows and simplification of the dashboard for easy management of domains. Faster customer service response time would also help, as well as more features in the plan, such as domain privacy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"GoDaddy Makes Domain Purchasing Easy"

What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?

Ease of purchasing the domains made better with GoDaddy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?

After purchasing the domain, if we want to customize how our site looks, we have to pay for a premium membership in GoDaddy; otherwise, only the default design is shown. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"GoDaddy was the worst experience of my career"
0.5/5
What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?

Godaddy is cheap. The customer service is open 24/7. That's all that GoDaddy has going for it. It's an easy entry but you'll get suckered soon enough. Beware! It's a trap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?

The customer service is hit or miss, but worse than that, you usually wait 45-90 minutes just to speak with a level 1 tech. While their prices are low for hosting you must purchase add ones to keep your site running and secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A reliable, established, and robust service. The one that’s always there."
5/5
What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?

What I like most about GoDaddy is that they are a long-standing player in the digital ecosystem, and you can truly rely on their service. At this stage, their services and product reliability are well-established. I also really like their cross-integration with various other services; whenever you need to configure something related to a domain, GoDaddy usually appears as one of the options with a predefined quick process already built-in, which simplifies everything.

Their pricing is industry-standard, so there are no surprises there. Like many others, you get better deals with long-term commitments, which makes sense since these aren't services you want to be moving from provider to provider.

The support channels have worked well for me so far. I appreciate that they offer higher-priority channels for urgent matters, which is vital when your scope of action is limited. I'm also grateful for the understanding they've shown regarding my specific cases. I have yet to try their AI features, as I’m still taking a conservative approach in that area. What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?

One thing that has always felt like a challenge is their sheer size as a company. In that sense, if support isn't perfectly fine-tuned, it feels like I could just become another random client in a queue; even for small requests, getting a hold of someone isn't always easy.

Another downside is the aggressive cross-selling of products I know I don't need. Perhaps a better way to manage this would be through user profiles where we could specify our expertise. For the general public who might be less tech-savvy, these suggestions are helpful and appreciated. However, when you are a technical user, you know exactly what you need. Sometimes, in the rush of managing tasks, those extra offers can lead to accidental purchases of things you don't actually want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Easy Domain Setup with Reliable All-in-One Management"
4/5
What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?

The main advantage of using GoDaddy is just how fast and easy it is to buy a domain and get it connected. The initial purchase process is very smooth and they almost always have great introductory offers that make the first year very cheap. It is also quite reliable and we never have to worry about our domains going down or having technical issues with the registration itself. Everything is in one place and it works well for securing a name quickly when you have a new idea. They also have a live chat which we found useful in many occasions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?

The biggest issue is definitely the renewal pricing which is significantly higher than most other registrars on the market. While the first year is cheap the cost almost triples when it comes time to renew and that feels like a bit of a trap for long term users. I also really dislike the aggressive upselling during the checkout process because you have to constantly click no on extra services like privacy protection or email that should just be included. The management interface can also be quite cluttered with promotions for their other products which makes it harder to find the basic DNS settings when you actually need them. "Client Payments Misapplied and No Help From Go Daddy"
0.5/5
What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?

Nothing, because they took money from my clients and applied it to the wrong customer number. After that, they refused to refund the money or move it to the correct customer number. It’s been horrid, and I’ve gotten no help from Go Daddy. The chat agent who was handling the purchase was specifically asked not to do this, but it happened anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?

Chat and incorrect products sold with the customers getting mixed up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick, Easy Domain Setup with GoDaddy Domains"

What stands out about GoDaddy Domains is how quick and easy it is to secure a domain. The search and checkout process is simple, and everything—domains, DNS, and basic site setup—is in one place, so you can get online fast without much hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?

They push a lot of upsells (privacy, email, security add-ons), which can make the checkout feel cluttered and more expensive than expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure, User-Friendly Domain Management"
5/5
What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?

I like the security features for call-ins with GoDaddy Domains, especially the use of a PIN. It gives me peace of mind knowing that anyone trying to access anything unauthorized can't get in. There's also accountability on the account, so if anyone in-house messes something up, it's traceable if they've accessed GoDaddy using the security PIN. Additionally, the initial setup was extremely easy, allowing us to purchase a domain in just a matter of minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?

We prefer to use reseller packages which we can give our customers, and access to whoever we fund at GoDaddy is kind of slacking in this department. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
