"Secure File Transfers Simplified, UI Needs Work"
4/5
What do you like best about GoAnywhere MFT?

I like the automation capabilities of GoAnywhere MFT because it reduces constant manual effort. Everything is scheduled and runs consistently in the background securely, which saves a lot of time. It's very easy to use, and I can create custom workflows for file transfers. The security it provides with encryption, secure protocols, and access control is a plus. I also appreciate how it helps us securely move sensitive files, which is extremely important for security and compliance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoAnywhere MFT?

I believe the UI can be improved as it feels a bit outdated and could be more intuitive. I also found the initial setup and configuration a bit complex for new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Dependable Automation with Solid Security"
4/5
What do you like best about GoAnywhere MFT?

I like how easy GoAnywhere MFT makes automation. It saves time, reduces manual work, and still provides strong security, which makes it dependable. I appreciate that everything is visible in one place, which saves time and makes troubleshooting easier. The logs and reports also help with audits and overall visibility. The tool provides solid and reliable security features and is strong in automation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoAnywhere MFT?

UI feels outdated and troubleshooting can be a little simpler. The UI could be more modern and intuitive, with simpler navigation and better guidance for users. In troubleshooting, logs are detailed but not always easy to understand, so clearer error messages and more user-friendly debugging tools would help a lot. Initial setup was okay overall but not simple, configuring and workflow integration took some time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Harsh,

We are aware there the UI/UX is not up to par for 2026 and are taking steps to improve. The last couple of years were highly focused on Security and Scalability of the software. Look for more up to date UI starting in the web client, and then later in the admin client throughout 2026. We are also looking at new AI features in 2026 to help build/modify/optimize workflows with natural language. Hope these changes will help address the issues you identified.

4/5
What do you like best about GoAnywhere MFT?

I really like how GoAnywhere MFT makes automation easy. It saves a lot of time by removing manual work and reducing the need for custom scripts. The interface is simple to use, yet it offers strong security features, which makes it reliable for handling sensitive data. I also appreciate the centralized monitoring and reporting; it's really helpful to have a single place where we can track all file transfers, check logs, and quickly identify if something fails. The alerting system is also handy as it notifies us immediately if there's an issue. The way it integrates with APIs, cloud storage, and internal servers to move data between different environments is a great fit for our existing setup. It's a reliable and secure solution with strong automation capabilities, making day-to-day file transfers much easier. I would definitely recommend it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoAnywhere MFT?

One downside is that the UI feels a bit outdated and not always very intuitive. Also, troubleshooting can take some time when workflows fail, as the logs are not always super easy to understand. The initial setup was manageable but not exactly straightforward. There's a bit of a learning curve at the start, especially for new users, but once everything is set up, it runs quite smoothly. "Reliable, Secure, but Needs a UI Refresh"
4/5
What do you like best about GoAnywhere MFT?

I totally admire a lot of features of GoAnywhere MFT. What I appreciate most is its ability to combine security, automation, and centralized control into a single easy-to-manage platform. It simplifies file transfer operations and aligns well with business goals like efficiency, compliance, and scalability. The standout feature for me is its workflow automation capability, allowing the design of end-to-end file transfer processes with support for scheduling and event-based triggers, minimizing manual intervention. The platform's strong security and compliance framework, offering end-to-end encryption for file transfers and secure protocols, along with role-based access controls and audit logs, is a significant strength. Another high-value aspect is the centralized visibility and monitoring with a dashboard that offers real-time visibility into all file transfer activities, easy tracking of job status, alerts, and reporting capabilities. Despite being a powerful enterprise tool, GoAnywhere MFT offers a relatively user-friendly and low-code interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoAnywhere MFT?

There's always room for improvement. The user interface can feel outdated; although functional, it's not as modern or intuitive as some newer platforms, and navigation can be cluttered. Certain features require multiple steps to access, and the learning curve for new users can be slightly high. The initial setup and configuration can be complex, needing careful setup and often requiring technical team support, especially if there's no prior MFT experience. Debugging and error handling could be better since troubleshooting can sometimes be challenging, with error messages not always being descriptive. It requires digging into logs to identify root causes, and debugging complex workflows can take time. The platform's out-of-the-box reporting and analytics are limited; advanced analytics need extra effort, and custom reporting is not very flexible, with limited visualization of data. Licensing can be relatively expensive for smaller organizations, with some advanced features incurring additional costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined and Secure File Transfers, Steeper Learning Curve"
5/5
What do you like best about GoAnywhere MFT?

I like how GoAnywhere MFT brings structure and automation to what used to be a very manual and fragmented process in my organization. The workflow automation capabilities stand out for me, especially because the drag-and-drop interface makes it possible to design fairly complex file transfer processes without relying heavily on coding. This reduces both development needs and the risk of human error while still allowing enough flexibility for advanced use cases. I really appreciate the centralized visibility it provides through automation, enabling me to monitor all transfers and track their status quickly from a single dashboard, which adds a strong layer of operational control. This makes troubleshooting much more efficient compared to managing multiple disconnected tools. I also value its reliability and stability, as the platform handles large volumes of data consistently, which is particularly important in data-driven environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoAnywhere MFT?

The initial setup and onboarding process for GoAnywhere MFT feels complex, especially for new users like me who don't have prior experience. A more guided and step-by-step onboarding process would make adoption easier. The user interface, while functional, feels slightly outdated compared to more modern cloud-native tools. Improving the UI could make navigation more intuitive and reduce the learning curve. Debugging and error handling can be time-consuming, as it often requires going through detailed logs. More intuitive error messages or better visualization of failures would improve troubleshooting efficiency. Integration with modern data ecosystems, particularly advanced analytics, could be stronger. It often requires additional customization to integrate seamlessly with data science pipelines. Also, the pricing and licensing model is not ideal for smaller teams like ours in an academic environment, as it's clearly designed for enterprise-scale use, making it less accessible for organizations with limited budgets. "Reliable Automation for Secure File Transfers, but Setup Needs Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about GoAnywhere MFT?

I like how reliable the automation in GoAnywhere MFT is once everything is set up. The workflow builder is fairly intuitive, making it easy to schedule and manage file transfers. I also appreciate that it supports different protocols like SFTP and HTTPS, which makes integrations smoother. The workflow builder simplifies setting up recurring tasks without needing a lot of scripting, and once a flow is created, it can handle tasks like picking up files, processing them, and sending them automatically, which saves a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoAnywhere MFT?

One thing that could be improved is the initial setup and configuration, which can feel a bit complex, especially for new users. The setup process could be improved with better step-by-step guidance or prebuilt templates for common use cases like SFTP transfers or scheduled workflows. The initial setup was manageable, but not very straightforward. It required some time to understand the different configurations and how everything connects for the first-time user.
