4.5/5
What do you like best about GoAnywhere MFT?

We currently use GoAnywhereMFT as our primary solution for the secure and automated transfer of programmatically generated date within our environment. One of the mots valuable feature is the Secure Forms capability which provides a reliable and easy to use method for external parties to submit files to use in a controlled and encrypted manner. The flexibility to support a variety of protocols has been instrumental in enabling seamless integration across diverse systems. The ability to centrally manage all of our SFTP connections has significantly streamlined administration and improved overall operational efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoAnywhere MFT?

Probably the only thing I could think of that would be a better solution would be more flexibility in the secure forms creation that we can add some more customization or possibly utilize external authentication sources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient and Easy-to-Use File Transfer Solution"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GoAnywhere MFT?

I feel that GoAnywhere MFT is a pretty solid tool. It's pretty straightforward, making it suitable for any beginner to implement workflows. The toolbox it provides is very wide and helpful for our organization. I also appreciate its integration capabilities, like with SFTP, native S3, SharePoint, and Azure Storage. The ease of implementation of workflows was notably faster than our previous IBM solution, and the architecture setup was similar, requiring only a few changes. Infrastructure-wise, setting up workflows from the previous tool was straightforward. I would recommend it to any organization looking for easy-to-set-up, centralized managed file transfer solutions, and I would give it a nine out of ten. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful, Flexible Automation Tools That Enable Creative File Transfers"

What do you like best about GoAnywhere MFT?

The broad set of tools that help us enable Automation. Flexibility within the application that helps us be creative at times in making sure files are transferred. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoAnywhere MFT?

The tools and automations we love, are also for a new user, not obvious. The obvious methods work, but poorly. Not sure if there needs to be better documentation, or work done in the UI to make it flow more like what the steps would be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless File Transfer with GoAnywhere MFT"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GoAnywhere MFT?

I like that GoAnywhere MFT allows us to build 'projects,' which are automated scripts to move, copy, or delete files at a granular level. It's great for creating a streamlined automated process, especially since we have many files and reports created daily within our EMR system that need sharing. GoAnywhere MFT works perfectly as a middleware solution for our file transfer needs. I also appreciate that it works with SharePoint, which we've migrated to as our main file management platform. The product is not too difficult to set up from an IT perspective, though help from the IT team is needed for enterprise-level use. The versatility in handling different file transfer methods is a big plus. Even though we don’t utilize it to its full potential, I would still rate it a 9 out of 10 for recommendation. What do you dislike about GoAnywhere MFT?

I know that there is an Outlook add-in for GoAnywhere but it would be nice to have a small lite version of a GoAnywhere client to assist with general FTP uses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure, Automated File Transfers with Room for Improvement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GoAnywhere MFT?

I like that GoAnywhere MFT gives us confidence around data security. Since I deal with sensitive client data, knowing everything is encrypted and handled properly is a big plus. The automation really helps—once things are set up, transfers just happen in the background without us having to worry about them. With GoAnywhere, the security gives us peace of mind because all sensitive data is encrypted and controlled. The automation helps by removing manual work, so transfers run smoothly in the background with fewer chances of errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoAnywhere MFT?

One thing that could be better is that it has a bit of a learning curve at the start, especially when setting up secure workflows. Also, when something fails, figuring out the issue from the logs can take some time. In the logs, it can be a bit hard to follow, and it takes time to trace the exact issue. The initial setup, especially around security settings, can feel a bit complex. Clearer error messages and more guided setup would make things much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect Balance of Security and Usability"
4/5
What do you like best about GoAnywhere MFT?

I use GoAnywhere MFT as our main gateway for securely sending and receiving sensitive data. It guarantees encryption both at rest and in transit, making it essential for our highly regulated industry. It helps us automate encryption and decryption, manage our SFTP connections, and maintain a strict audit trail of data transactions, easing compliance audits. The centralized dashboard providing visibility into file movements is a lifesaver, proving exactly when a file was encrypted, sent, and delivered. I appreciate how it balances high-level security with usability, offering an intuitive, user-friendly interface for our IT team. The built-in key management system is fantastic, making managing PGP keys, SSH keys, and SSL certificates more organized and reducing errors. I love the robust automated folders and monitors, which instantly trigger processes, making our data pipeline fast. I also value GoAnywhere's seamless integration with AWS and Azure storage, acting as a secure bridge between external vendors and our internal cloud infrastructure. Its drag-and-drop interface for building workflows is intuitive, and the customer support and pricing structure fit us well. Overall, it completely solves our compliance headaches. What do you dislike about GoAnywhere MFT?

The licensing model can be on the expensive side, especially for smaller teams or if you need to add on specific premium modules later. The initial sticker shock and the cost of scaling up can be a hurdle. I'm not a huge fan of the recent push to transition perpetual licenses over to a subscription-based model. It feels like our annual maintenance costs are going up just to stay on the same platform. The most tedious part of the configuration was locking down the granular permission and managing the encryption keys. Mapping virtual folders for our external web users and ensuring the RBAC was completely watertight took a lot of trial and error to get exactly right. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure and Efficient Data Transfers, Needs UI Improvements"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GoAnywhere MFT?

I really like how GoAnywhere MFT simplifies automation, taking away a lot of manual effort when handling client data like payroll and accounting files while keeping everything secure. It just makes daily work smoother and more reliable. The visibility it provides is also fantastic; I can easily track all our client data transfers in one place and quickly spot if something goes wrong, making monitoring and handling issues much easier. I also appreciate how it connects well with APIs, servers, and cloud storage, helping us move data smoothly between different systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoAnywhere MFT?

One area that could be better in this app is the UI; it feels a bit outdated and not always very intuitive. Also, when something fails, understanding the log can take a bit of effort, especially when dealing with critical client data. One improvement would be better troubleshooting support; when a transfer fails, it can take time to figure out the exact issue. More detailed and clearer error messages would really help speed things up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure Automation Made Easy with GoAnywhere MFT"
4/5
What do you like best about GoAnywhere MFT?

What I like most about GoAnywhere MFT is its ease of automation and strong security. It makes setting up reliable, encrypted file transfers simple while giving clear visibility and control from one place. I also like its user-friendly interface and flexibility. It supports many protocols and integrates well with different systems. The centralized dashboard and detailed audit logs make monitoring and compliance much easier. Additionally, it integrates well with databases, cloud storage like AWS S3, and enterprise systems like ERP/CRM tools via APIs and scripts, making it easy to automate end-to-end workflows. The initial setup was fairly straightforward and quick for basic configuration, and overall it was manageable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoAnywhere MFT?

The UI can feel a bit dated and complex at times, especially for new users. Troubleshooting errors isn't always intuitive, and some advanced configuration can be harder to setup than expected. The UI could be more intuitive with simpler navigation, clearer labels, and customizable dashboards. Troubleshooting would improve with clearer error messages and guided diagnostics. Advanced setup could be easier with wizards, templates, and better real-world documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure File Transfers with Robust Automation"
4/5
What do you like best about GoAnywhere MFT?

I use GoAnywhere MFT mainly for secure file transfers and automating data movement between systems. It helps me handle sensitive files, schedule transfers, and connect internal and external platforms without manual effort. What stands out most about GoAnywhere MFT is how easy it makes automation. It reduces manual effort, keeps workflows consistent, and the interface is simple enough to manage jobs without much complexity, while still maintaining strong security. Beyond automation, I really appreciate the centralized monitoring; I can see all transfers in one place, quickly spot failures, and act on them without digging through multiple systems. The alerting and logging are also solid; they make troubleshooting faster and give good audit visibility. On top of that, it integrates smoothly with APIs, cloud storage, and on-prem systems, so it fits into existing workflow without much friction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoAnywhere MFT?

One area where GoAnywhere MFT could improve is the UI; it feels a bit dated and not always intuitive. Troubleshooting can also take time, as the logs aren't always easy to interpret. The initial setup and configuration can be somewhat complex, especially for new users, so a smoother onboarding experience would help. The initial setup of GoAnywhere MFT was manageable but not very straightforward, and configuration workflows, integrations, and security took some time and has a learning curve.
