Gnome terminal is just a perfect terminal for all gnome-based desktop environments. I am a user of the Ubuntu desktop and the gnome-terminal comes pre-installed with it and it fulfills all needs of a Linux user. As I mentioned, I am a regular user of Gnome Terminal so I don't feel any drawbacks in using it. It is lightweight, works out of the box, and is very snappy to use. Imagine being able to quickly and easily take control of every single thing that goes on under the shiny surface of your Linux distro, then imagine that you can also utilise the same tools remotely from your machine. As with the first time you ever used the Linux Window Manager (GUI), there’s going to be a learning curve, but as this is Linux we are talking about, help is always only a google away. I have saved a lot of work with the options that it offers me since not in every terminal I can do shortcuts like renaming several files almost at the same time and being able to copy and paste in the terminal, this saves us a lot of having to write sentences of characters for navigation. The idea of trying to look like IOs is a bit limited since there are points where it can be improved since it would be better if we could move the incidentals of the system tray to where we want, since for some it is a little uncomfortable and The taskbar is missing. This is the better Terminal app for linux and i really like that it comes default with ubuntu. And it has enough good customisation for a terminal, like changing fonts, backgrounds and making the background transparent And I really like the fact that i can add my customisation into different profile and switch to any profile when i want. GNOME Terminal is a terminal emulator specially designed for the GNOME desktop environment. This allows the users of GNOME machine to access the shells while remaining on the graphical desktop. The main advantage and attractive part of the GNOME terminal are that it supports multiple profiles each have its own theme. A user can create multiple profiles with their customization. That means it does not have a graphical interface. We need to have some pre ideas to interact with the terminal. Commands can be acts as instructions to perform tasks. What do you dislike about GNOME Terminal? I hope that the Product Engineer will release an update which allows GNOME Terminal to run on MacOS. Recommendations to others considering GNOME Terminal: If you work with your keyboard rather than using mice or touch-ipnput, then I recommend using GNOME with its excellent CLI and innovative customization options. With the Gnome terminal you can do thousands of tasks thanks to the fact that it is compatible with all Unix commands. Being a GUI terminal maintains compatibility with graphic applications.
