Buttons are easy to find and it's easy to set up your account. The account team is also great and meets with us biweekly to discuss any ongoing issues. We use the site several times a day and have set up templates for our different market needs. It was a mostly seamless process to become integrated. **What do you dislike about GlobalLink?** We would like more customization of the templates - ex., we want to set up deadlines for X number of business days per template, but we are forced to select a specific date every time we create a project. Some of the languages are not intuitive. When translations are complete, we receive automatic email notifications per language. We would like this to be customizable so that we get one comprehensive email once it is final rather than an email for every language -- this feels messy and "noisy." The link to access the project also takes us to the "old" site and not to the specific project, so it's a pain to go back to the new site to access the project. There are many features you can only access by toggling to the old site - it would be nice to be able to access these in the new site as well, even if that means tucking them behind action buttons. We used TransPort before moving to GlobalLink and loved the chat feature. We would love to see this reintegrated into GlobalLink as well. It would be great to be able to add other miscellaneous documents (such as internal emails) to GlobalLink as well per project. The team we've had the pleasure to work with and responsive and always keeping us in the loop through the processes. When there are issues with the process they step up and take care of things. The On Page Editor is great and allows our team to make the finer edits needed to maintain brand and tone of voice. **What do you dislike about GlobalLink?** The cost of translation in general is crazy ridiculous. We shopped around and while we found some options that were somewhat less expensive we ultimately chose Translations.com for the reputation. I would never recommend machine translation so the human based translations are key. **Recommendations to others considering GlobalLink:** Know that translations will take time to master your tone of voice and branding through translations for authenticity. Machine translations are not recommended for any strong brand with a unique voice. Skip the machine and go to human translations. **What problems is GlobalLink solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are expanding our brand into French and German markets and speaking natively to these customers is critical. The staff is very good at reaching out for communication. The end results of our translations are good and formatting the text back into its original source is extremely helpful as that can be time consuming on our end. The additional benefit of being able to upload large files to their portal instead of trying to send zip files through email or drop box has also made the process much easier. **What do you dislike about GlobalLink?** Sometimes when I am using the portal, I may need to quickly ask a question using the chat function. However, I do not always hear back from my project manager through the chat function. I usually hear back through email, or I need to email my project manager in order to prompt a response. When we need a translation completed and re-formatted back to InDesign, sometimes I do not hear for days that they are actually missing some files. I wish I could know that from the very beginning so I can track those files down for them instead of at the end. **What problems is GlobalLink solving and how is that benefiting you?** Since we've been using this GlobalLink transport for TransPerfect, the amount of time I have saved in tracking down translations and keep track of quotes and invoices has been very helpful. Before I had to dig through my emails. Also, it didn't cost us much more than what we were already paying. Plus, this added to our word memory count I beleive which has cut down on costs too. I beleive we've actually been saving money as opposed to costing us more by using this software. Also, it has been much easier to submit our translations, especially large ones with large files and additional artwork files. You need to start from scratch. It is hard to track the status of an ongoing project: we don't know if a reviewer has started or not. When a reviewer is completing a content validation, simple things to be done Ex: -Some reviewers can have 2 accounts so they miss the content to be validated on 1 of the accounts if they don't think to check both of them. -A reviewer needs to press the completed all button if not the project doesn't move forward. It is a common thing they forget to do. -There is a possibility that a reviewer can put comments only and not integrate the changes into the text. It shouldn't be possible as it isn't the way they should do the task, etc. **What problems is GlobalLink solving and how is that benefiting you?** Quotes and deliverables tracking.
