Gleam has multiple membership tiers, which can range from reasonable to extremely expensive. The cost of Gleam along with competition prizes can be a little overwhelming for smaller businesses, but once it's set up you can expect a solid ROI with the correct marketing. There are not many creative options when it comes to design. The design options are very basic. It does not play well with Pinterest (Pinterest marks it as spam and does not allow linking back to a Gleam contest. We worked around it by linking to our Facebook page instead.) As someone who has both hosted and has entered giveaways with Gleam, I can tell you that it is extremely easy, all around! From inputting links and having requirements checked to clicking and managing my personal entries into giveaways, Gleam takes all of the work and triple checking entries out of the equation! I originally picked Gleam to use for my office because 1. they integrated with our ESP (Klaviyo) and 2. they were able to have images uploaded, which was key to a contest we were running. They do have numerous ways in which someone can 'enter' a contest (like upload an image, visit a social media site, refer-a-friend, vote for a winner, answer a question, download an app, et cetera) and ways for a business to gather data (you can add custom fields to suit your needs). They also work with various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube). We haven't used all of the options yet and we may or may not try them in the future. It's not the most user friendly platform, and takes some workarounds. For example, there is no clean cut way to just capture names + email addresses as Gleam requires another entrypoint. So, for a contest when we purely just wanted names + emails, we had to also include a "visit our Instagram" option. It's not the end of the world, but it isn't exactly what we wanted.
