A true enhancement to our online fundraising and donor experience **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions **Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2025 **What do you like best about Givecloud?** The donor portal has been a Godsend for our organization as another solution to improving donor experience and donor services. The diversity in options for items, pages, forms, and fundraising experiences provides a relevant, cutting-edge, and easy-to-use means of widening how we provide donor's the ability to give online. PayPal and DAFPay are great additions to accessible donation methods for donors via GiveCloud. **What do you dislike about Givecloud?** GiveCloud has come a long way with its reporting capabilities, while there may still be some limitations with reports that can be pulled directly from its platform. It has great integration and mapping with DonorPerfect, but there are occasional custom fields and SmartActions in DP which do not respond to certain data points or triggers from GiveCloud. But I will pin this one on DonorPerfect instead of GiveCloud. Lastly, how items and donations are mapped to funds (GL Codes) in GiveCloud makes changing funds for recurring donations difficult (ie, a recurring donor wants to change their fund they donate to). Even if you change the code in DP, it cannot be changed in GiveCloud without creating a new recurring gift, and perhaps that is the better practice anyway. **What problems is Givecloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** It provides enhanced online giving forms and experiences creating more modern, competitive, and delightful experiences for donors with more integrated ways to give. I have to do a lot of manual work to get our staff page--only 4 people--looking nice. **What problems is Givecloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** They usually solve my problems when they come up, but it goes back to lack of good templates. ### 4. I like the automatic replies as this usually does have great answers. However, I like the fact that I can decide to wait for the team so I work with a real person directly. This is a great option - especially if I feel I need to describe what I am looking for directly to a person so I am not typing the next part of my question and waiting for a potential answer. Every time I have worked directly with a support team member, they have gone above and beyond in finding a solution to my problem or an answer to my question. At times, they have had to talk with other team members to find a resolution for me. This is great! I love the fact that the team member doesn't just leave things unanswered. If they have to create something to help me, they will. I also like the fact that Givecloud is easy to populate a website with. The changes I make are instantaneous and do not have to be routed through a third person to take effect. Givecloud is definitely easy to learn and very user-friendly. **What do you dislike about Givecloud?** 1. Cannot search a supporter by their Donor ID. 2. It's possibly a good thing, but I would like the ability to do an import myself instead of having to send it in and have the GC staff do the import then wait for the results. 3. Changes made in a student's or supporter's record does not change it in Donor Perfect - or vice versa. For instance, when I make changes to a name or a class level for a student, I have to manually make these same changes in Donor Perfect. It doubles the work. **What problems is Givecloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Givecloud populates our Child Sponsorship website. I LOVE the portal! This is wonderful for our supporters as they can make certain changes themselves and update their own information (i.e. new credit card, address changes, etc.). We built in features where a supporter can send communication to their sponsored child. It gives supporters information and a picture of their child at a glance so they don't have to go through us for basic information. ### 5. I access and use it often. And when I need help, there is a great knowledge base, training videos, and personal 1:1 support is only a few minutes away. In each interaction I've had with a support team member, I've learned something, fixed my problem, and had a great conversation. So many emojis!! **What do you dislike about Givecloud?** I wish the reporting capabilities were a little more robust. But I wouldn't trade that for a decrease in other capabilities. **What problems is Givecloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a simple platform for supporting memberships and donations. We found that in Givecloud (and it's our CRM, and reporting platform now too!) ### 8. While AI support can be helpful, sometimes it is not, and getting a return message from a support person can take a while. also, it would be great to have a phone number to call for quick questions. **What problems is Givecloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed giftcloud for a Gala fundraiser. The fundraising forms are also simple to create and manage on the back end. **What do you dislike about Givecloud?** I believe many of the specialists could benefit from more training. During our onboarding process, the specialists often couldn’t answer our questions and referred us to the Development team, leading to delays of days or even weeks. At times, I received conflicting information from different specialists, which only added to the confusion. **What problems is Givecloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Give Cloud is allowing our donors to have access to their giving history via the giving portal and allowing them to quickly make gifts via the fundraising forms. ### 13.
