"Great CI/CD platform"
What do you like best about GitLab?

Gitlab runners extenteds the standard git platform with a great platform for CI/CD implementations. It has easy to provision CI runners for you needs and the defenitions of pipelines and integrations are easy and very straight forward making it a must have platform. The built in repository is also great and easy to implement making it great for daily use and even scheduled tasks can be done in the CI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitLab?

The UI could be better it seems like it's constantly changing for the worse hopefully the better in the long time but it's not only on Gitlab it seems it's wider problem with others adapting the same layout which I find very confusing at this moment and harder to use. "Gitlab for Sharing, Collaborating and Managing Projects"
What do you like best about GitLab?

GitLab UI is very easy to get started and very simple to use. It also allows importing projects from existing repositories such as GitHub, BitBucket, etc. which is very good.

It also has issue tracking and milestones UI, which is simple, easy to track, and one of the best. We can also explore public projects very easily as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitLab?

The pricing is quite high and it does not have any gist feature to share snippets of code. It also does not comes with student pricing, rather it provides a 30-day free ultimate plan which is nice but a student feature would be appreciated very much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gitlab- a web based project management repository"
What do you like best about GitLab?

It is very easy to configure and does not require any extra space on the computer. One just need to configure it and it is ready to use.

Alongside, this is also a reliable way to process, maintain and manage the code with minimum extra effort.

It's accuracy is another added advantage Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitLab?

It has its own limitations like very little or no customisation. . Also, though easy to configure but it can only be used for native application and it doesn't have compliance license Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Better alternative for github"
What do you like best about GitLab?

I loved the user interface of Gitlab and the fact that is offers more features at very cheap rate.

Gitlab provides their own runners therefore it is very convienent to use. Interface is very good and easy to understand comparitive to its counterpart jenkins. In gitlab pipeline runs automatically if we use a specific keyword but in jenkins we have to do so much configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitLab?

The amount of gitlab i have used i did not found any things to dislike it. It is really wonderful. Not so much data is available to integrate gitlab with other applications as it is very new to its counterpart. But it is improving constantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gitlab: best tool for team collaboration and project code storage"
What do you like best about GitLab?

I like the beginner friendly user interface of Gitlab most, specifically the code review section most when i review the code of my junior developers it helps me to write the comments, comparing the old and new changes and it even give some better insightful suggestions i love this part of gitlab its awesome apart from it i like the feature where it segregates the branches and merge them on approval rights which helps in having the codebase in right hands.anyone cannot push or approve the code without proper rights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitLab?

i am using it from last 2 years i didn't find anything wrong but sometimes user interface doesn't load properly it happens very rare but i faced this issue so i don't like it when it happens. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"the best version control system that i ever used"
What do you like best about GitLab?

gitlab features like branching and merging is a good one. it reduce the complexity of the program and can avoid the conficts between the developers. And we can build pipelines in git and automates. we can go the previous commits so any error occurs we can hava a backup so the code never be stole. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitLab?

E GitLab's user interface has evolved over time, i still feel that some features of it are less user-friendly than those of rival version control systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"GITLAB : A MUST HAVE TOOL FOR DEVELOPERS"
What do you like best about GitLab?

1-> i like the user interface of gitlab because its beginner friendly and easy to use. a whole team can manage a single or multiple projects and they can work on their own branches and the code can be pushed , reviewed and deployed. everything is at one place.

2-> the tracking of code changes is awesome you con switch between diff commits or versions of code. anyone can't push pull or deploy the changes only those who have correct rights will be able to use that functionality.

3-> its perfect for both large scale and small scale projects.complete developement life cycle is managed via gitlab in a very beautifull manner.

4-> from code pull to code push from code reviews to pushing code review changes from bug tracking to bug resolution everything works perfectly smooth.

5-> i love to use gitlab at workplace.its irreplaceable tool in terms of everything that you need for developement Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitLab?

1-> sometimes the code that you have pushed won't be visible to you for few minutes. it means code push does not work in real time.

2-> comparing multiple commmits is little bit complex.

3-> premium features are overpriced.

4-> little bit slow while loading when we press any button at UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
