What do you like best about Git Tower?

The UI is clean and effective, performance is excellent and it's very stable.

Support is great and it's updated very often so it keeps up with the latest advancements and it's often introducing new features.

I can't think of anything I dislike about Tower.

"The essential tool for any developer!"

What do you like best about Git Tower?

It's a useful, gorgeous and NATIVE macOS app 🙂.

It helps to do make git readable and wel understandable. Have you ever imagined using the reflog in a terminal, changing commits history order or some complex operations like them in a terminal ? Or have you ever did one of them in a terminal ? What a hell! But Tower make those operations as easy as a drag and drop! It's impressive!

The CMD+Z feature is the most perfect usage of the reflog you can imagine without having to know about the reflog !

It have been saved my life more than once! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Git Tower?

Nothing really but I hope for some new enhancements.

For example being able to comment a change on a piece of code in a PR or follow state of a branch. Once a branch is in PR I'd like to see and icon/emoji reflecting that state in branch list. Once it is merged/blocked etc.. an icon/emoji could reflect that state and we could so be able to filter branches by their states. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Git Tower:

If you think you need it or if you're just looking for an app, Tower is the best in class! It clearly worth its price so don't have no more hesitation! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Git Tower solving and how is that benefiting you?

The problem it solves is the problem of readability of anything which is printed in a terminal. With this UI it makes GIT readable, well understandable, it ables us to do some complex git operation in an incredible easy way !

What do you like best about Git Tower?

Each action is naturally integrated with macOS. (Ie. Cmd+Z to cancel, drag'n'drop)

And it's really helpful to avoid common mistake and improve everyday workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Git Tower?

If it can be more integrated with text editors, it can be better. A better code syntax colorization can be helpful. And more integration with GitHub PRs can also be a good think for a complete review process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Git Super Powers"

What do you like best about Git Tower?

Git Tower has helped me in my day to day operations for both personal and professional projects. I absolutely love the UI and something so small as "cmd + z" to undo my previous action has helped improved my workflow in times where it's most needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Git Tower?

I'd love the ability to view and respond to PR conversations from Git Tower. This would improve my workflow even more by not requiring me to go launch git in the browser just to respond to feedback from teammates.

Tower has been powering my usage of Git since it was first released. It’s straightforward interface, integration with GitHub, Bitbucket, Gitlab, and others, and especially how easy it makes it to do interactive adds, have made it a daily part of my work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Git Tower solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tower takes what is an arcane & challenging tool, Git, with numerous & myriad command line commands, into a straightforward, point & click tool. Converting the command line output into a visual display, and sharing not only the current git status, but also the diff of any changes, makes it excellent.

Best of all, it makes building commits that only include specific line changes, but not others (i.e., interactive git add) far easier than otherwise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Too much options in a single page"

What do you like best about Git Tower?

I personally like the User interface of the website. The best thing is the colours. The way in which all the colours were used denotes the proper path. The way branches are visible is also very good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Git Tower?

The webpage is comprised of too much information on a single page. The way you merge a branch, pull a request and every cherry-pick a commit is something that is not properly explainable. I prefer to have some different pages to do all these kind of stuff Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Git Tower?

The ability to quickly squash, edit and move commit around. Such an easy interface to use. Organizing and creating repositories is also very easy and I like seeing all my projects in one place. Cmd + Z combination is also a lifesaver in Tower. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Git Tower?

The only thing I dislike is that I might slowly forget how to use git commands. :)

Other than that, there isn't much that I don't like. Maybe the price could be a bit lower so I could easily motivate other people to use it as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
