"A Review for GIMP Software"
4/5
What do you like best about GIMP?

What I like best about GIMP is its simplicity and cross platform support. The control and designs are intuitive and does not require highly specialized training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GIMP?

The downsides of GIMP and its simplicity is its lack of much more complex functions which are present in software such as Adobe Photoshop. It would be nice for more features to be added while making sure the simplistic nature is preserved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A free and worthy competitor for image editing"
3.5/5
What do you like best about GIMP?

It is free and available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It has many tools for image and photo editing. Did I mention that it is free? Well, it is free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GIMP?

I think this application has a learning curve because it is not intuitive. Also, if the operating system you are using is in a different language, you can expect to have your shortcuts assigned to other letters, which can be frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"GIMP is an Awesome Image Retouching tool 😍"
5/5
What do you like best about GIMP?

I have used GIMP for Image Retouching projects. I can easily adjust image color, crop images, customize brushes and adjust the gradient seamlessly. It helps me to remove background images pr background color easily. I love how I can customize its menu, toolbar and side panels according to my needs. And the awesome thing is it also supports pdf format. It's free and open-source software; it doesn't require a commercial license. Its a cross-platform software. I have installed it on my Linux system and on my windows system. It uses less resources as compared to other image editing tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GIMP?

The only thing is its complex software it requires hands-on practice to work smoothly. Other than this, it has almost all the features that photoshop has. It's a powerful tool, and there is nothing to dislike about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best tool for quick repeatable tasks"
5/5
What do you like best about GIMP?

I love GIMP. We use it as a free alternative to Photoshop for the majority of our marketing team. It is easy to learn and makes repeatable tasks with a non-designer a snap. It is easy to install, train others and use. It is nearly as powerful as the alternative which makes design tasks easy. Things like changing file formats, colors and making transparent background on images are much easier with GIMP than alternatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GIMP?

There is not the community that you get with Photoshop online. People post tutorials, but it takes more time to find answers. Also, there is no phone app that really works well for quick on-the-go tasks. If the GIMP community would build one - or an online version that would be wonderful, and I'd probably move away from Photoshop. There needs to be more development focus that makes illustrator - not just photoshop - irrelevant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My Experience With Awesome Image Editor: GIMP"
5/5
What do you like best about GIMP?

I have been using GIMP for years and did almost all types of image editing work smoothly. I often use it for creating Blog Post Images, Image Retouching, and Changing Sizes and Resolutions. It's a free and open-source powerful tool. That saves the cost of the Software license. I have installed GIMP on all my devices, Linux, Windows and Mac. Easy to work on image layers. I used it to create images, icons, vector images for websites, and different-sized images for different social media posts. Easy to remove and change image background. That's a free, powerful, and feature-rich tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GIMP?

I have never felt like it is lacking somewhere. It perfectly did all my jobs. Its UI is outdated, but most free and open-source tools look the same, so it's OK for me. I am used to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
