Through this tool you can analyze quantitative and qualitative data. Personally, I have been able to perform text analysis and simultaneously analyze data of variables at the ratio level, such as the speed of automobiles. The best thing about this software is the ability to apply filters, statistical models, analysis schemes, and still choose very interactive and pleasing visuals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Gephi? The application module of statistical models with color filters is not very intuitive. He preferred to perform the statistical models and then edit the graphic elements of visualization by hand. To improve this aspect, use would be more fluid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Gephi: It is essential in statistical knowledge and a logic principle to be able to interact with Gephi. What problems is Gephi solving and how is that benefiting you? I was immersed in a qualitative research project where I had to analyze the content of numerous interviews. The contribution of Gephi was very relevant because it allowed me to provide quantitative strength to establish the nodes and the relationships of the language based on the chains of relationship. I am competent in using R to do social network analysis, and even then I prefer to use Gephi to visualize large networks. Gephi also provides some important measure results such as closeness, betweenness and eigenvector centralities, and one does not have to know programming in order to get these results, which makes the program very convenient to use. Unlike UCInet, it takes time to understand how to color-code nodes based on the characteristics you choose, or which button works for what. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Gephi: If you know how to use R or Python, use Gephi as a great tool for beautiful graphs, but for other analyses, turn to your programming skills. As a researcher, I find Gephi very useful because provides beautiful visual social network graphs which are essential for exploratory and explanatory analysis.
