I love working with the employees at Genea Security. They go above and beyond when needed and are a great company to work with. I can reach them almost any time during the day, and they're very responsive, always getting back to me. They're happy to work with me, they think outside the box, and help me solve problems. Really, it's the people of the company that make Genea Security special. I also appreciate the fantastic product that meets my customers' expectations. It makes Convergint look good because it is simple yet very in-depth, covering all bases of access control. It has a fantastic end user experience and makes my customers' lives easier, which makes them happy about the system they're using. I really like the ease of use of Genea Security, as it allows us to manage access control throughout our facility with an easy-to-use GUI. The dashboards are great, and the integrations, especially with Azure, are very helpful. The online portal is also a big plus; it enables us to train users quickly to manage many access points. The Genea platform makes handling access control systems and events a breeze with their cloud solutions. From basic operating to full on in depth programming, it's all possible within one platform. What do you dislike about Genea Security? There are some things that can only be achieved outside of the platform, I would love to see these functions also implemented in an optional advanced mode. However, the Genea customer support is always available to help out and replies swiftly. I also miss the option to just print a hardware overview showing all connected hardware, like panels, doors, readers, inputs and outputs. Currently this has to be done for each category separately. Integrating hardware flawlessly into a cloud solutions accessible from everywhere in the world. This means, if the customer is having issues with their system, we can first check their system for a more in depth view of what is going on before visiting the customers site. I am a local admin, so for my purposes of adding/removing people, it has been a short learning curve. I appreciate that I can log in to it from anywhere to address urgent needs that come up too. Its easy to suspend a card if needed. I appreciate the process to add templated badge layouts and being able to have multiple versions; this is not something we had before, and it helps. I like the idea of integration with our IT systems, but we aren't there yet as an organization to have that implemented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Genea Security? There is not "add a new user" on the homepage/dashboard. When I first log in, that is the page it takes me to, and I have to click a couple of times before getting to add a new user. It was a problem that we couldn't standardize our badge templates across our locations; now we have the template loaded into Genea and the end user can use those we make available.
