They go above and beyond when needed and are a great company to work with. I can reach them almost any time during the day, and they're very responsive, always getting back to me. They're happy to work with me, they think outside the box, and help me solve problems. Really, it's the people of the company that make Genea Security special. I also appreciate the fantastic product that meets my customers' expectations. It makes Convergint look good because it is simple yet very in-depth, covering all bases of access control. It has a fantastic end user experience and makes my customers' lives easier, which makes them happy about the system they're using. It is my go to recommendation for customers who are interested in cloud hosted solutions. **What do you dislike about Genea Security?** I really wish they had a video management system. I wish they were a single pane of glass. **What problems is Genea Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Genea Security because it offers a quality, honest product. It works with mercury-based systems, provides in-depth access control, has great software, and is backed by responsive employees. My customers find it simple and effective and once they have a chance to use it they find that it meets exactly if not exceeds their expectations. ### 2. The dashboards are great, and the integrations, especially with Azure, are very helpful. The online portal is also a big plus; it enables us to train users quickly to manage many access points. I also appreciate the mobile credential feature they added, as it is awesome. The initial setup was super easy, which made the whole process smooth. **What do you dislike about Genea Security?** Nothing, yet! **What problems is Genea Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** Genea Security allowed us to distribute and manage access control throughout the facility using an easy-to-use GUI, and we can train users quickly to manage many access points. ### 3. They also utilize the OpenAPI, which allows you to build your own integrations as needed. Additionally, they always have a support chat available, with a support engineer just minutes away whenever you need help. **What do you dislike about Genea Security?** The only thing I can complain about is the new Customer Portal. It’s missing the easy-to-follow indications of what is being/has been released and when, and instead everything is just grouped together in one pile. **What problems is Genea Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** Genea is integrating new features allowing their portal to become a GSOC tool. ### 4. I wish I could understand it better in order to do it myself. **What problems is Genea Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Genea software to control access to our house. The mobile access software they supply is a good program and in many ways user friendly. From basic operating to full on in depth programming, it's all possible within one platform. Genea offers a great variety of hardware components to implement, so as an installer, you are not stuck with just one supplier. **What do you dislike about Genea Security?** There are some things that can only be achieved outside of the platform, I would love to see these functions also implemented in an optional advanced mode. However, the Genea customer support is always available to help out and replies swiftly. I also miss the option to just print a hardware overview showing all connected hardware, like panels, doors, readers, inputs and outputs. Currently this has to be done for each category separately. **What problems is Genea Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** Integrating hardware flawlessly into a cloud solutions accessible from everywhere in the world. This means, if the customer is having issues with their system, we can first check their system for a more in depth view of what is going on before visiting the customers site. I am a local admin, so for my purposes of adding/removing people, it has been a short learning curve. I appreciate that I can log in to it from anywhere to address urgent needs that come up too. Its easy to suspend a card if needed. I appreciate the process to add templated badge layouts and being able to have multiple versions; this is not something we had before, and it helps. I like the idea of integration with our IT systems, but we aren't there yet as an organization to have that implemented. **What do you dislike about Genea Security?** There is not "add a new user" on the homepage/dashboard. When I first log in, that is the page it takes me to, and I have to click a couple of times before getting to add a new user. This is a frequent task I complete, and this on the homepage would be convenient. Obviously, not the end of the world either. **What problems is Genea Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** It was a problem that we couldn't manage the system from anywhere. Genea allows us to manage access quickly and easily.
