What do you like best about Gem?

I'm a CTO of a small tech startup. I have an urgent role to fill and am enlisting help from folks on my company's sales team. I was able to ramp up an AE on Gem's AI sourcing feature quickly and I already have candidates in my inbox. Pretty great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A necessary tool in your TA tech stack"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gem?

I use Gem daily and appreciate its growing functionality. It’s incredibly helpful to track how various touchpoints influence our hiring decisions and outcomes. I leverage campaigns and forms for event management and lead engagement, including our talent community. Every talent acquisition team should have a CRM to manage pipelines effectively. Gem’s integration capabilities make it easy to connect with our ATS and other tools in our workflow. Another standout is their support team; they’re hands-on, receptive to feature requests, and quick to provide workarounds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gem?

While Gem is a incredibly valuable tool, there are some performance issues from time to time. Certain features could be improved to make analytics more effective and enable easy tracing of hiring sources and influencers, like including campaign activities in the contact activity section or providing better analytics for campaign performance as part of the talent pipeline. The way rows constantly resize and repopulate in projects and prospect searches can also make it harder to view relevant information efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great platform!"
5/5
What do you like best about Gem?

The sequences and data you can gather from your outreach. It's so nice having one platform to referenece for pipeline and data management. We also use Gem jobs which allows us to track candidate activity prior to being added to the WD ATS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gem?

I wish there was a way for Gem to create business facing reports to easily share with hiring managers so we do not have to copy and paste data and candidate details into Google Slides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Love the ease of candidate tracking, the sequencing option in bulk is such a time saver, and reporting/dashboarding has done wonders for the ability to report to HM's and execs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gem?

Data integrity can be tough through the ATS integration and reporting should be a little more simplified. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Everything you need"
5/5
What do you like best about Gem?

The outreach features are super straightforward, scalable, and easy to modify to your own process. The organization of Jobs/Projects is also so simple, but doesn't have to be simplistic with the ability to create custom fields per project; per candidate record, copy them to other projects, and edit across multiple interfaces. All that combined with the ability to pull outreach & pipeline stats so easily makes this the perfect tool for staying organized & optimized across multiple different job reqs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gem?

I wish there was an easier way to tabulate sequence data (response rates etc) per stage, to more easily assess effectivenes of each message in an outreach sequence. At present I am doing this manually in Google sheets. I also wish there was a separate, direct link to candidates' Linkedin Recruiter pages instead of only to their public profiles. "Gem makes my job easier and my life better!"
5/5
What do you like best about Gem?

Gem is truly a game changer for recruitment - both in candidate sourcing as well as business development. I have always wondered if there was a better way of doing things and Gem is the answer. It's easy to use, easy to incorporate into my existing workflows, and has become part of my daily routine. In addition, whenever I have questions, I have received excellent customer support and training when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gem?

Overall, Gem is a great product and I have very few complaints. However, I occassionally run into issues with the plugin, where I have to make sure I'm on the right tab on a candidate profile in LinkedIn recruiter, in order for the plugin to refresh properly (could also be a Recruiter or Chrome issue, not sure). What do you dislike about Gem?

A valuable suggestion for the Gem platform would be to incorporate more advanced data analysis features.

These new features could include the ability to track and compare the performance of different candidate sources (e.g., LinkedIn, GitHub, social networks), helping users understand which channels are yielding the best results. A

By integrating these advanced data analysis capabilities, Gem users would gain a more holistic view of their recruitment efforts, empowering them to make more informed and effective decisions throughout the hiring process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
