## Gem Reviews
  ### 1. Amazing Tool for our Teams!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah H. | Manager, HR Business Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Gem?**

The analytics piece for recruiting and hiring managers have been instrumental in us understanding where we are at. We can't wait for any new additions to be added as Gem continues to update!

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

I think there a few benchmarking tools that could be incorporated, otherwise no complaints.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We didn't have any analytics on outreach or recruiting before this - I know it has been instrumental for all of this. The dashboards are awesome for leadership too!

  ### 2. Great for reporting!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Petala I. | Senior Technical Sourcer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Gem is great for sourcing candidate emails, reporting outreach and response rates, and candidate demographics!

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Gem doesn't collect data on Native American candidates. It's 2022, and Native American erasure is profoundly passé.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem helps me report to HMs the progress and gaps in diversity in our hiring pipelines. It is also reducing the amount of time I spent tagging candidates' demographics and finding their contact information.

  ### 3. Amazing tool for sourcers and recruiters!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ishika G. | Jr Talent Sourcing Specialist- G&A, Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Gem is super helpful to keep track of the pipeline, the response rate, and even the matrices. It helps in keeping track of one's performance as well as comparing and improving the performance. We can see the updates on the candidates and their status. You can also save candidates for future use to your scratchpad!

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

If someone updates their LinkedIn profile, it becomes difficult to find it again. Also, sometimes Gem does not pick up details like company name, school name, etc., on its own, and we have to do that manually.

**Recommendations to others considering Gem:**

It is beneficial and easy to use if you consider using it in your organization's recruitment processes and also for sourcers and recruiters who are continuously engaged in building a pipeline of candidates for various roles that they are working on.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recruiting operations like maintaining candidate pipeline, candidate status, creating projects for self-use as well as sharing with the entire larger team. I also save candidates for future reference and add them to scratchpad, so you don't have to search for it again.

  ### 4. Great recruiting tool

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hana F. | Recruiting Sourcer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I find the data collection and organization of gem the most helpful. It is a great tool for recruiting to use to hold and organize candidates in various phases, roles, etc.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

I find the homepage a bit difficult to navigate. It is messy and hard to distinguish which projects are mine, which are not and I have not been able to delete projects, only 'archive' them which is a bit confusing.

**Recommendations to others considering Gem:**

I would highly recommend using Gem as a recruiting tool, especially if you have high volume of applications or need to store and organize candidates to review or re-engage with in the future.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to reach back out to candidates that were in process with us previously which increases candidate engagements, and ultimately we are able to make more hires simply because we now have a way to store and organize all these folks.

**Official Response from Zoey Ren:**

> Hi Hana, thank you for sharing your feedback, especially about the homepage navigation. Our product team always listens to our customers' feedback and is dedicated to improving the user experience. At the same time, please feel free to reach out to your customer success manager anytime for product training or questions. We're here to help!

  ### 5. The CRM that works with you!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tracey B. | Recruiter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Gem?**

The workflow from project to sequence is easy to set up and automated with quick notifications in app and by email.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

The inability to search the sequence by name, or to archive leads that are not interested.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Talent sourcing lead outreach, for recruitment.

  ### 6. Gem is an easy and effective way to reach out and track candidates.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin H. | Senior Business Recruter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I apprecciate the sequencing ability and the analytics features.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

At this time, I do not have anything I dislike. The analytics feature is great but can be a bit clunky at times.

**Recommendations to others considering Gem:**

None at this time.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem I am solving by using Gem is a cadence for reaching out to candidates in an effective way. I love that I track who has reviewed my email and/or who has clicked on my links.

  ### 7. Effective and efficient

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Sequences in Gem are easy to set up and personalize straight from a LinkedIn profile. I like having insight into opens and clicks.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

For a premium product I don't find that Gem finds as many personal e-mail addresses as other tools

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me with time management, as I can automate my chases in sequences.

  ### 8. A fantastic, comprehensive CRM and Data Analytics platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie L. | Talent Acquisition Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Gem is such an amazing tool for candidate outreach and pipeline analytics. Our recruiting team uses their sequencing tool on a daily basis, as well as their Talent Pipeline feature which allows the team to easily visualize pipelines and keep them clean.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Nothing, we love Gem! They are always iterating and always take customer feedback into consideration. We really wouldn't want to change anything big, and they are always improving.

**Recommendations to others considering Gem:**

Go for it! We would not look back. The platform is excellent and the support from Gem is even better.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem consistently helps us automate candidate outreach, and helps to improve candidate response rates. Once our recruiters set up a sequence, it can be set up to automatically send a series of emails to candidates and will track click rates and response rates. We have improved our candidate response rate significantly since prior to this we were only using inMail outreach. We are also using the Gem analytics platform, which allows us to build custom dashboards, and easily pull numbers that might be a bit cumbersome to pull with greenhouse alone.

  ### 9. Beautiful software, great UX

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Gem is great - I love the ability to schedule muti-stage sequences, send campaigns on behalf of other employees/partners, and all of the reporting capabilities. The data is really helpful to see and there are so many different ways you can splice and utilize it. The visual interface is simple and intuitive. The design team has done great work with making this tool very usable for recruiting and sourcing teams.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

The integration with Greenhouse is great, but I wish the reporting was more seamless between Gem and Greenhouse. Honestly though, I think that is more of a Greenhouse issue vs a Gem issue so I don't know how much control Gem would have (other than to influence GH to catch up to their greatness!!)

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem is helping us solve better talent, faster, and also to better understand the activity within our pipelines. The projects and dashboards help keep our teams on track and accountable to our metrics.

  ### 10. Gem is a great sequencing and data tool!

I don't like that the one touch upload doesn't work all the time. That also goes for logging inmails.

I am able to send lots of outreach at any time of the time data. It's fun to see the progress of all sequences.

The first problem that we are solving using Gem is find faster the contact info of candidates to reach, also it helps to follow up using automated sequences so in case that you forget giving a follow up of the candidate Gem send the sequence in the time specified. ### 30. A great recruiting analytics tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

The recruiting analytics. The automated engagement with candidates. The easy platform. The price. We use Gem to engage with passive leads, source diverse candidates, and craft compelling outreach messages.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

I don't like how the diversity data isn't always the most accurate. It's hard to tell what is accurate and what might be off a little. It gives us a good enough picture but would be great to be more accurate.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to source higher volumes of leads. We are able to create more compelling messages and personalized outreach to get more folks engaged. We also use Gem for our data analytics.

Ask questions if you need to - support is great!

Saving money using Gem instead of LinkedIn Recruiter.

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Seamlessly automate sourcing efforts and help to build diverse pipelines! great interface, love the UI and the customer suppot from our reps. I've used Gem at 2 companies,

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

The extension in LinkedIn is a little bit clunky while you are in there. you have to toggle it between the screen to send an inmail.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am quickly able to reach out to candidates through Gem software and organize my projects. I love that Gem automates my outreach where I can set it and forget it.
They also have a great talent pipeline tool where you can see all active candidates in the pipeline.
Great forecasting ability with the forecasting tool - great for volume hiring where you can work backward through a pipeline to see how many candidates need to go through each stage for a hire.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To whom should I reach out again, and am I reaching out to the right people? Also, is my messaging making an impact?

  ### 34. Gem, an Incredible tool for Sourcers and Recruiters

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Gem makes it incredibly easy to scale sourcing reach out while maintaining the personalization of individually typed messages. I really enjoy their personalized token system which pulls information from someone's LinkedIn to fill fields like city and current employer. Gem also acts as a database for all candidates reached out to and if you are using projects it makes it really easy to go back and message passive candidates. You can also use the "last contact" search parameter to target candidates who have not been reached out to for the last 3-6-9 months.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Honestly, I use Gem every day, it is one of my main tools. It would be great if the search field results could be shown better but no complaints from me.

**Recommendations to others considering Gem:**

When used to its potential, and doing that is made easy, Gem can unlock the efficiency of your sourcing team by automating and tracking time-heavy tasks and allow your team to focus more on finding great candidates and getting them into the pipeline. This tool should be staple for any company looking to hire at scale.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to scale sourcing efforts without the quality of the message being sacrificed. It allows me and my team to be able to message faster and keep track of past candidates to add them into nurture sequences to keep our brand and roles top of mind.

  ### 35. Literally a GEM for our recruiting efforts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason S. | Recruiter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Gem?**

We're moving incredibly fast as our start-up has huge headcount goals to reach. Gem has created a platform that has made us more efficient and given us the speed we need in our Outreach efforts. The guardrails it provides to ensure we're not double-tapping prospective candidates through our entire org is a lifesaver!

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Only thing would be to automate bulk Inmail! (Understanding this is more of a blocker on LinkedIn's side)

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speed and efficiency in recruiting efforts

  ### 36. Gem Is Great

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I like the sequencing capabilities and its ability to integrate with LinkedIn and our ATS easily

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

I dont have anything in mind to mention for this question

**Recommendations to others considering Gem:**

Note: I wasnt able to upload a screenshot, the button didnt work for me for some reason but I am happy to email it over.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem helps with automated email outreach to candidate and the benefits have been getting to candidates.

  ### 37. Potentially useful tool but lacking in terms of integrations

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Hardware | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Scraping data from LinkedIn PDF downloads is a useful feature, which has saved us time in logging new leads to our ATS
The email finding ability also seems quite good - roughly 50% of email addresses found by Gem for new leads seemed to be an in-use email by the lead
Onboarding and integration with LinkedIn was straightforward

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Not having a demo or free trial made Gem hard to evaluate. We wanted to make sure that Gem integrated well with our ATS (Lever), in particular that emails, notes and contact details entered in both Lever and Gem appeared in the other platform. Our Gem sales rep indicated to us that these features were present, but unfortunately most of these features were missing. Specifically, at the time of writing:

✅
- You can create a candidate entry in Gem from Lever
- Sequences sent from Gem do appear in Lever (though we weren't able to verify this)

❌
- Notes added in Gem don't appear in Lever
- Notes added in Lever don't appear in Gem
- Emails sent from Lever don't appear in Gem
- One-off emails sent from Gem don't appear in Lever
- Contact info added in Gem doesn't get synced to Lever after the initial upload from Gem to Lever
- Contact info added in Lever doesn't appear in Gem

Hopefully this helps out anyone else also using Lever as an ATS and considering adopting Gem into their workflow.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main goal with Gem was to increase our sourcing efficiency. It seems like the tool has the potential to do this, but we weren't able to realize any efficiency gains due to the overhead of maintaining two candidate databases (one in Gem, one in Lever) which aren't synced with each other.

**Official Response from Zoey Ren:**

> Hi there, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We pride ourselves on delivering true values to our customers and regret to hear that our solution could not meet your expectations.

Your feedback about Lever integrations has been noted, and our team is always working to improve the quality and feature set of our ATS integrations. If you’d like us to reach out to you when we address these Lever pain points, please let your customer success manager know or email us at success@gem.com.

If you’re still exploring our solution, please feel free to sign up for a free trial via this link or request a personalized demo with us. Your happiness is our priority, and we would love the opportunity to make things right.

  ### 38. Simple to use, quick to show value

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Ease of use is what stands out most about this tool. Whether I'm on LinkedIn, in my emails, or on the Gem platform itself, I can always find what I'm looking for and can get my messages moving quicker and without a ton of clicks.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

LinkedIn Inmail Sequences: I wish there was a way to set up sequences automatically for Inmails when emails are not available. Gem is amazing for 'set and forget' if you have the right email.

**Recommendations to others considering Gem:**

It's all about the CSV uploads :)

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It would be great if when the first message bounces, Gem could automatically restart the sequence attempting the other emails available until they do not bounce.

  ### 39. Great automation tool for any Linkedin reachouts & messaging!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Ease of use, fairly straightforward UI and basic data/analytics for tracking.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Lack of dashboard analytics and deep dive data without having to pay an extra $5k

**Recommendations to others considering Gem:**

Great email/messaging sequence tool to use when automating outbound activity and tracking CTR, open, and outcomes. Additional analytics does come at a cost that's about the same as the platform and 1 (recruiter/TA) license, so just FYI. It is fairly easy to use and intuitive.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Top of funnel sourcing and messaging (management) easy to use, and easy to quantify data for a/b testing. Keeping track of prospects easy to do using projects.

  ### 40. GEM automates my Recruiting Life

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jairo F. | Tech Sourcer on exclusive assignment with Slack, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

How easily and seamlessly integrates with all the recruiting tools I use. From searching people on LinkedIn to have them ready in my ATS to knowing who contacted them already. It's just a wonder to work with and automates my daily contacting. I just focus on the talent and sharing what my company is about.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

If I were to mention any, sometimes the add-on pops on my Gmail account when reviewing an email, but also it gets laggy every now and then. It could be that I need to refresh my browser, but I think a little optimization on that end could come in handy.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are contacting people and keeping track of where the contact information is at. Basically, it's eaiser for me to keep track of my talent pipeline through GEM than through LinkedIn. Also, everyone on the team is aware of the amount of talent added to set project and we can take action from there.

  ### 41. Helpful on so many levels

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike B. | Technical Recruiter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I love that Gem automates outreach and allows you to quickly share data with your team about how those campaigns are performing.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

There are a few manual things (eg sending InMails) that I wish could be automated, but I know that the Gem folks would if they could. It seems like LinkedIn is pretty tight-fisted when it comes to that.

**Recommendations to others considering Gem:**

Their team is super responsive. If you have any questions or challenges, reach out!

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem has made it easier not just for me to source and contact new candidates, but for Hiring Managers to be involved throughout the process. They can easily send outreach to candidates and track the progress of outreach for their role across everyone who's sourcing.

  ### 42. Makes you faster and more effective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy H. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Intuitive UI
Easy to send email campaigns
Easy to personalize outreach to candidates
Operates out of LinkedIn seamlessly
Re-engaging prospects over a long period of time (nurture)
Predict warm leads
Notes and collaboration with team
Great support articles and success team
Integrating with ATS
Search
Reporting

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Reporting is good on a per sequence basis. Sometime the aggregate reporting feels a bit off.
Would love to be able to create and save custom reports.
Search is good but could be more powerful (i.e could search keywords in notes)
Would be great to add high level goals into gem and see how we are tracking against them. i.e. if I need to hire 10 candidates, here's how many I'm reaching out to and how they are progressing through pipelines to see if I'm on track to hit my goals - Could use jobs for this if it worked better and integrated with ATS tool

**Recommendations to others considering Gem:**

If you appreciate good, intuitive flow and design, go for it!

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heavy sourcing acrosss multiple companies
Sourcing and organizing engineering candidates.
Easily sending prospects emails to personal accounts
Increase in reply

  ### 43. So helpful!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria Alejandra N. | Tech Recruiter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I like how easy it is to keep track of leads. I have to keep track of hundreds of candidates on a daily basis, while adding more every day. Gem allows me to see at a glance who I've reached out to, who replied, and whether or not they're interested in whatever it is I'm offering. Email automation is a big plus, I can just "set and forget", with the confidence that if a candidate replies, they won't be getting the next email set up in the sequence unless I make it so. It really brings peace of mind knowing that candidates won't be getting spammy messages once they've replied.
Also, reporting is really easy and convenient as Gem basically does it for you.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

One of the things I would like to be added as a feature would be being able to add messages to a sequence and have it be updated for people who already have been through all the previous stages of that sequence. That way, I wouldn't have to worry about coming up with templates for the different stages all at once, and have the candidates always be part of the same sequence instead of having to add them to a new one with just the last stage. For reporting purposes, this would be way better.

**Recommendations to others considering Gem:**

Go get it and really dive in to see all of the things you can do.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like to be organized, and, honestly, it can be hard to keep organized using just gmail. Before using Gem, there would be a lot spreadsheets involved in my process. Now, I can just have everything in the same place. Also, I don't have to keep track of metrics so I can share with my manager or my team, as it's all available right there. All up to date, all in a neat package.

  ### 44. Improve your Talent Acquisition capabilities 10x

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh S. | Talent and Performance Program Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I love the complete sourcing automation offerings. Being able to build complete sequences and send those to candidates with ease, never forgetting to send the next email if need be, truly puts my mind at ease. Additionally the insights Gem provides in terms of engagement stats, conversion rates, and intersectionality of candidates is truly spectacular.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Every now and again I want to stop a sequence for a candidate. I don't want to remove them from the project, pause, or mark as sent. I just want to be able to "Stop sequence" as a feature. I also would really love to see an executive dashboard that provides need to know insights for high level executives that they can access at a glance. I also don't like that admins can't set up more limitations and guardrails within the system. I think allowing more of this could better help rec ops teams create streamlined "team wide" uses and practices.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have realized that Gem, better than any other software I've used tells the story of pass-through rate matrices. This helps us craft true partnerships with hiring teams as we can now present insightful and compelling data that answer questions we didn't even know we needed answers to.

  ### 45. Gem Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian W. | Lead Technical Recruiter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Automated follow-ups as part of the sequences and Gems' ability to scrape emails.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Gem can't find personal emails some of the time.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're solving the problem of automated follow-up and being able to track and report on sourcing.

  ### 46. Game changer for workflows + time saver!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jen S. | Executive Recruiter, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I love Gem's capabilities to save me valuable time for sending sequences to candidates. In addition, the option to use the feature where you can reach out as a hiring manager is a game changer.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

I would love the dashboards to be a little clearer on filters in one spot

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving problems by ensuring we are using high touch with candidates and making certain we note if they have connected with someone from our org before.

  ### 47. LOVE GEM!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samantha B. | SOURCER, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I LOVE I AM ABLE TO COUNT ON GEM TO SEND MY EMAILS TO CANDIDATES EACH WEEK.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

NOTHING- I THINK IT'S A GREAT PRODUCT. WISH I HAD IT SOONER.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LOVE HOW GEM MAKES MY DAY TO DAY SO MUCH EASIER

  ### 48. Love Gem - for sales and recruting outreach

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Really appreciate the Gem for Startups program - the calendly integration is amazing. The outbound really works!

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

I wish the default share settings was set to Public to the team instead of having to individually share each sequence and project with the team

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, automating emails since it's never enough to send one email.

  ### 49. Gem is absolutely necessary for all recruiting teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Gem takes the mundane out of sourcing by effectively and intuitively automating outreach messages. I appreciate the large degree of customization within Gem, and it's incredible how smoothly it integrates with popular applicant tracking systems such as Greenhouse.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Some of Gem's features are still a bit clunky or feel like beta features. The Talent Pipeline feature is often buggy and slow, and the filter systems used for both Talent Pipeline and Pipeline Analytics could use some UI and clarity improvements.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem solves the problem of needing to set reminders to follow up with passive candidates manually. It also prevents recruiters on the same team from stepping on each others' toes since it automatically talks to our ATS in real-time. Gem has freed up so much of my time, and I can spend more of it actually recruiting rather than doing administrative work.

  ### 50. Sourcing on autopilot.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Intuitive and very few clicks required to get sourcing tasks done.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Would love to see integrations with more ATS and perhaps an open API to be able to customize Gem functionality.

**Recommendations to others considering Gem:**

One of the best recruitment automation tools out there.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some things Gem has helped me with:
- Finding emails
- Prefilling fields for ATS
- Customizable templates
- Easy integration into work email for quick Gem cross-referencing
- Projects are intuitively integrated with ATS jobs
- Calendly integration
