"Easy to use and makes Salesforce CI\CD less daunting"

What do you like best about Gearset DevOps?

Ease of use. CI\CD setup for Salesforce can be daunting but Gearset makes it easy. Gearsets knowledge base is great and is updated frequently. There was also plenty of support from our accunt exec. It was very easy to integrate into our existing org structure. The comparison feature is worth its weight in gold. Being able to comapre orgs to repos is invaluable for us. We use Gearset amost daily be it comparisons, test runs or deployments. The problem analyser for deployments is very helpful and proved its worth very quickly. It combines all the best features of SF's DevOps center with additional must-have features such as CI/CD, data deployments, and automated unit testing. What do you like best about Gearset DevOps?

Gearset is a market leader for a reason in the Salesforce Dev Ops space, historically having been built to fill a crucial need in the marketplace it is seeing more competition lately from other competitors including Salesforce which has started really improving it's own Dev Ops tools but the comparison tool for deploying metadata still is head and shoulders better than other solutions out there along with other tools like data backup, data deployment (including CPQ data deployment) and other solutions. What do you dislike about Gearset DevOps?

Gearset has long been a market leader in the industry and their pricing reflects that which can be more expensive than some solutions. Certainly it is worth the investment in my opinion but some companies might find that to be a barrier to adoption if price is high on their priority list for a Dev Ops solution. The ability to leverage the metadata API in a declarative way. Monitoring metadata changes in production environments. Gearset makes it easy to deploy changes between Salesforce environments, to not only metadata but also reference data. I would never ever be without Gearset, it makes it so simple to compare and deploy components between orgs that you'll wonder why you suffered with the devops centre or change sets for so long. What problems is Gearset DevOps solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am the head of Salesforce for my company and I'm responsible for all deployments into Prod. Gearset makes it easy to see what's changed in lower environments and pull changes that my team or me have done and deploy them through our various development environments. You can deploy everything with Gearset, including metadata from installed packages (not possible with change sets). The devops centre is too technical for me, and having to connect to GIT was not ideal. Gearset is super easy to set up and get started with, I did my first deployment without any training, it's literally so simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
