"An Engaging Virtual Workspace for Seamless Remote Collaboration"
4/5
What do you like best about Gather?

I like how Gather recreates the feeling of working in a physical office while still being fully remote. The virtual workspace is intuitive and engaging, which makes it easy to move between conversations, meeting rooms, and collaborative spaces. I especially enjoy the proximity-based audio and video feature because it enables natural, spontaneous interactions without needing to schedule a call. The platform also helps strengthen team culture by making remote communication feel more personal and less formal than traditional conferencing tools. On top of that, the shared virtual environment helps us stay connected throughout the day, since everyone can see who’s available, who’s in a meeting, and who’s working independently. Overall, the UI is very engaging, and the AI features are really good, with a generous free-tier pricing option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gather?

While Gather offers a unique collaboration experience, new users may need some time to get familiar with the virtual office concept and navigation. The platform can occasionally feel resource-intensive, especially on older devices or when larger virtual spaces have many active participants. Some advanced customization and space management features have a learning curve for administrators setting up workplace environments. At times, external guests may require a brief introduction to understand how movement and proximity-based interactions work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It Keeps Team Collaboration and Planning More Organized"
5/5
What do you like best about Gather?

What I like most about Gather is that it provides a shared workspace where meetings, discussions, and planning activities can stay organized together. This makes team coordination easier during ongoing projects and regular work. Having scheduled events, collaboration spaces, and team communication available in one environment helps keep activities more structured and easier to manage. I recently started using Gather. I work as a Dietician & Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education content for social media. For my work, it is useful when discussing health education content, nutrition awareness campaigns, clinic-related planning, and wellness projects with team members. The virtual workspace approach helps keep content planning, educational discussions, and project coordination organized instead of being spread across different tools.

Getting started was easy and implementation did not require much effort. Scheduling meetings, managing recurring sessions, inviting team members, and organizing discussions feels straightforward. I also like that calendar events, meeting areas, and collaboration tools stay connected within the same workspace. The number of features feels practical without making the platform complicated, and it fits well into my existing workflow. Another useful aspect is being able to keep ongoing discussions, planned meetings, and team activities connected in one place. This helps reduce confusion when working on multiple projects and makes follow-ups easier to manage. Performance has also been smooth while navigating the workspace, managing events, and coordinating team activities. Overall, Gather helps make team collaboration, project planning, and remote coordination feel more organized, engaging, and easier to manage during regular work. What do you dislike about Gather?

Most features are easy to use, but some team members needed a little guidance during their first visit to the workspace. A slightly smoother onboarding experience would make adoption easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Interactive Virtual Workspace That Makes Remote Collaboration Feel Personal"
5/5
What do you like best about Gather?

What I like best about Gather is how it combines communication and collaboration in an interactive virtual workspace. The platform is intuitive, easy to navigate, and makes remote work feel more engaging through its virtual office environment. It helps teams connect naturally, collaborate efficiently, and stay productive while maintaining a sense of presence that traditional meeting tools often lack Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gather?

The main drawback is the initial learning curve for new users. It can take some time to understand the virtual environment, but the added engagement and collaboration features make it worthwhile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fun, Whimsical Virtual Office—But User Limits Hold Back Larger Teams"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Gather?

Gather is very fun to use and yet also functional even though the general idea is quite whimsical. Having a virtual office really helps create a feeling of being together with your colleagues even though you're many miles apart in real life. Especially for fully remote teams, Gather is really valuable.

With Gather 2.0, the interface and usability features got a great update as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gather?

Some needed features and integrations are still missing, but they are actively working on that. The biggest pain point is the user limit. Because of this, using Gather 2.0 for our large company is not an option. That's why we stick to the old Gather for now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fun, Efficient Platform for Easier Meetings and Team Visibility"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gather?

I really love this platform for its presentation. Its really fun and efficient to use this platform. Meeting and video calls becomes much easier with this platform. Other than this we can keep track on other teams activity so that any new schedule doesn't hamper the task of others. We can also know even if the team member is present or away from the desk which is awesome. It provides a social feeling through this platform while being in office. I also love the user interface which is really user friendly and the login process was also smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gather?

I love most part of this platform but sometimes when user fails to update its position, communication can be interrupted. I also wish that the price was fixed as the cost may escalate a lot for offices with large number of employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Immersive Virtual Workspaces with Compliance Focus"
4/5
What do you like best about Gather?

As a trade compliance manager, I favor Gather’s lifelike immersive virtual working environment far beyond conventional video meeting tools. We can design exclusive segmented work zones to separate supplier negotiations, EU trade regulation reviews and overseas market strategy discussions clearly. Team members and global business partners can move freely between different functional areas just like in a physical office. It maintains steady communication links across multiple countries, and its native data permission settings fully conform to German GDPR and EU cross-border trade data standards. The whole system is user-friendly, so local employees and foreign partners can get started fast without professional training. We can directly distribute trade contracts, tariff lists and logistics schedules during on-site conversations, and freely switch between large-scale team seminars and private one-on-one business consultations. The whole deployment process is effortless, and we can finish building business-suitable virtual spaces in a short time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gather?

Gather cannot achieve effective deep linkage with our dedicated trade management systems and global logistics management platforms. Its built-in file sorting and classification functions are too simple to classify large volumes of trade qualification papers, policy documents and compliance archives systematically. The refined regional access authority management is insufficient, and there will be occasional network stuttering and connection instability when communicating with partners located in remote emerging market regions. "Immersive Virtual Workspace, Perfect for Hybrid Teams"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Gather?

I love Gather's warm, immersive virtual office atmosphere that feels nothing like generic video platforms. It effortlessly bridges our hybrid team by replicating a real physical office space, allowing remote and on-site team members to wander freely, engage in casual chat corners, and strike up spontaneous conversations. I really appreciate its flexibility for team events and community building, with easy customization of virtual zones for coffee meetups, team bonding activities, and more. Another favorite part is how intuitive and user-friendly it is, enabling even less tech-savvy team members to use it without hassle. Most importantly, Gather makes our hybrid team feel genuinely connected, building real workplace relationships that other tools can't replicate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gather?

First, the platform can feel a bit laggy and slow at times, especially when hosting larger groups of team members in a single virtual space. When we run company-wide casual gatherings or bigger onboarding events, there can be slight delays in movement, audio glitches, or trouble loading the custom virtual map. This disrupts the natural flow of conversations and makes the experience less smooth for remote staff. Second, the customization options for virtual layouts are fun but limited in advanced design features. As someone managing team culture events, I wish there were more ready-made templates for casual lounges, icebreaker zones, and small meeting booths tailored for hybrid teams. Right now, building out a fully branded, themed space takes extra time and manual setup with no saved reusable templates for recurring events. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

""Gather" -Excellent platform for interactive virtual collaboration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gather?

I find Gather to be an excellent platform for interactive virtual collaboration. It creates a virtual office environment that makes communication more natural and engages remote teams effectively. I really like the interactive virtual workspace concept, which allows for spontaneous conversations and a real office-like experience. The platform is easy to use, with customizable spaces, smooth screen sharing, and reliable audio/video quality. It significantly enhances team connection and makes virtual meetings a lot less monotonous and more productive. I also appreciate how user-friendly the setup was, with a straightforward interface and flexible customization options. The templates, guides, and support resources were incredibly helpful, making the onboarding process much smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gather?

Can require stable internet for best performance. Initial customization may take some time. I would like better performance optimization for lower bandwidth connections. The experience can sometimes lag on slower internet networks. It would be helpful to have more advanced moderation and meeting management tools for larger teams and events. Improving the mobile app experience and adding more integrations with productivity tools would make collaboration even smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gather Town Makes Our International Conference Interactive and Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Gather?

Gather Town gives us a way to bring colleagues together from all over the world on a fully customizable map and host an event that feels both highly interactive and easy to use. We’ve been using the platform for four years for our international online conference, accommodating around a hundred simultaneous participants over three days. It has worked well for running poster sessions and setting up a virtual paleoart gallery.

It's difficult to get to grips with at first when organizing the space, but afterwards you quickly realize all the possibilities and it's a great platform.

This platform represents our biggest expense, but it's worth it; plus, we can benefit from a discount for non-profit organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gather?

The support response time can sometimes be long and may require multiple follow-ups, although other times it’s quite quick. Either way, the support is always very efficient. Getting started can feel complicated at first, especially when you’re creating an online space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
