What do you like best about GanttPRO?
I have used GanttPRO for several weeks to manage a software development project, and I must say that my overall experience has been very positive. The interface is clear and intuitive: the Gantt charts are easily manipulated with drag-and-drop, which allowed me to quickly visualize dependencies, adjust dates, and communicate with the team. The ability to switch from a "Gantt" view to a "grid," "board," or "calendar" view really facilitated coordination between developers, testers, and project managers.
On the collaboration side, I appreciated the @mentions, comments integrated into each task, and real-time notifications: this reduced exchanges outside the tool and improved transparency with my team. Resource management was also an asset: I was able to see who was overloaded, adjust assignments, and get an overall view of the workload.
Of course, not everything is perfect. The price may seem high for small teams or freelancers, especially since some advanced features are reserved for higher plans.
Also, the mobile app seemed a bit limited compared to the browser version: for example, modifying complex dependencies or managing large projects is smoother on desktop.
But overall, for serious project management use and to have a true Gantt vision—with tracking, dependencies, resources—GanttPRO met my expectations. Its ergonomics allowed me to save time, avoid unnecessary follow-up meetings, and have a clear overview that all stakeholders could consult.
In conclusion, I recommend GanttPRO for any team looking for a robust visual tool for project planning and tracking. If you are a very small structure or have a very tight budget, you may need to consider the cost, but from what I've seen, it's really worth the stars. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about GanttPRO?
The cost/pricing model is a barrier for small teams or solo users. For example, some report that you need to purchase a minimum package for 5 users, which is not suitable for freelancers.
Integrations with other tools are limited, which can be problematic if your workflow depends on many external modules.
The mobile or out-of-office experience is lighter than the browser version: sometimes you lose fluidity or functionality.
For very complex projects or with strong "resources/budget/multiple cross-dependencies" constraints, some users feel that GanttPRO shows its limits (e.g., fine resource management, custom reports).
The learning curve is not zero: even if the interface is intuitive, some filters, customizations, or advanced tasks may require some time to adapt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
