The reviews themselves are the most valuable part. We use them to see how customers actually talk about the product, catch gaps in our messaging, and surface features people love that we haven't marketed well enough. That feeds directly into our newsletters and other customer content. What do you dislike about G2 Marketing Solutions? The biggest issue is the weighting algorithm. A meaningful chunk of our review history comes from users who've since left their companies or whose accounts have gone inactive, and those reviews have almost no chance of getting refreshed. Because the algorithm weights recency so heavily, that older history drags down how our current rating reflects the product today, and there's nothing we can do about it since we can't force a former user to log back in and update a review. We miss the old model, where every review counted equally regardless of age. A review is a review. The fact that it's a few years old doesn't make the experience it describes less real or less valid. Weighting it down just because the reviewer isn't active anymore penalizes us for something entirely outside our control, and it doesn't actually reflect whether the product still delivers on what that review described. Even when I reach out to employees of G2, it seems they don't have much insight into new things that have been rolled out. For example, I wanted to know the details of AI-assisted reviews so that we were compliant and responsible when handling private meetings with our customers. However, there are a few navigational things that could be improved a bit when signed in - but that's usually because I forget where they are. But there's a little UI task to look into maybe. The second thing might be that getting the credit card receipt is a bit complicated when you buy buyer incentive credits from Amazon. We have to go through our rep. to get it. I like how G2.com helps me understand my customer voice, which helps me see where we're doing well and what needs improvement. It's valuable for making informed buying decisions and also helps in getting new leads and more demand for our product. The platform makes it clear to see what customers like and don't like about our solutions. I also find it beneficial for marketing since we can share good reviews with prospects and send bad reviews to our product development team for improvements. What do you dislike about G2 Marketing Solutions? Sometimes it's hard to know how valid the reviews are. If people use LinkedIn to log in, that would help us trust the buyers more, so we'd know it's a real person. I think that's a good thing. Sometimes you have to submit a screenshot to prove you're a customer, which is fine, but when you leave a review and it's incentivized, they sometimes come back and say, sorry, we've given out all the incentives, but we still appreciate your time for a review.
