Being able to pull accounting data into Google Sheets (automatically or on-demand) has opened up so many opportunities for reporting, analyzing, and operating. Support has been fantastic and a big part of continuing to use it! **What do you dislike about G-Accon?** At times, some of the paths to accomplish a task are not entirly intuitive and/or feel buried in menus. It would also be nice to have a few more settings (exclude certain classes from reports) and optional defaults (not defaulting to always creating new sheets, for example). All of these are easily overcome after getting used to it, though. **What problems is G-Accon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Quickbooks Online is great, but the data is virtually unusable. I was amazed to find some very detailed reports which would take a long time to create manually. Once a report is created, it is easy to update it - this saves a lot of time and reduces room for error. It enables us to share the latest budget vs actuals data with project managers. It saves a lot of time as we don't have to download reports from Xero. No copying and pasting means we can be confident that we are using accurate + complete data. G-Accon is an essential tool in our finance tech stack. **What do you dislike about G-Accon?** The reports can often be slow to refresh. The support is a highlight - they get back to you very quickly and are invested in you getting the most from the product. They don't leave you hanging at all. This can be easily navigated by keeping a live version of a file and making monthly hardcopies through. **What problems is G-Accon solving and how is that benefiting you?** The manual process of downloading financial data from Xero entities was time consuming and prone to manual error. G-Accon allows you to bring this data into G-sheets at the push of a button saving a vast amount of time. The ability to set up journal templates allows manual journals to be posted into Xero at the push of a button. By building these templates into existing month end worings using G-sheets formuals it means the process is fully automated. ### 13. I am using G-Accon to fetch financial data from QBO. Like a 'Help' button through the Extensions tab or something similar. Because I think only me in our organization can use this because I already spent time understanding how to use it. It has reduced the reporting tasks a lot. One just needs to do the data entry in QBO and the management keeps seeing updated reports. **What do you dislike about G-Accon?** Not much to dislike here, maybe sometimes finding the right report and customization of report via Filtering requires multiple hits and trials to get what you need. **What problems is G-Accon solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are reducing the reporting burden to a minimum. Previously one would need to download the reports from QBO in Excel and then format them to make it presentable for the management. But now we can have the format already set up in Google Sheets and the scheduler keeps bringing in the updated data. As Google sheets is already shared with the management, anytime they access it they get the latest report in the format that they are most comfortable. Also you can upload the bulk journal entries through the data import feature which also reduces the accounting burden. ### 21. We we're finding that we were spending way to much time manually entering data when we wanted a real-time picture of things. The prebuilt reports are great, but the customization of reports, refresh rates, and pricing really set them apart from the rest. While other solutions I feel like have focused on appearance, the functionality of G-Accon surpasses them all. **What do you dislike about G-Accon?** The main downside I see in G-Accon is that it does take a bit of a learning curve to figure out, but once you get it, it's smooth sailing from there. **What problems is G-Accon solving and how is that benefiting you?** I no longer have to copy and paste data from QBO to Google Sheets. We no longer have to manually pull data from QBO into our Google sheet to create useful management reports! **What do you dislike about G-Accon?** User interface. We are using G-Accon as an extension in our Google sheet and we find it hard to navigate the interface. Not all the reports from QBO are in G-Accon and not all of the reports from G-Accon are computing properly. An example would be the Custom Accounting Report for Budget Variance. While the normal Business Report-Budget Variance computes properly, the Custom Accounting Report-Budget Variance does not show correct % to budget. **What problems is G-Accon solving and how is that benefiting you?** We no longer have to manually pull data from QBO into our Google sheet to create useful management reports. The ability to create and automatically update customized reports from QBO is very helpful, and the team has added features such as traceable hyperlinked data. The cost for the service is very reasonable and much cheaper than other competitors. Setting up custom reports is also time efficient and pretty easy. **What do you dislike about G-Accon?** The formatting for reports (especially basic summary financials like the P&L) is essentially nonexistent which can make it difficult to read and sort through data.
