It's a below-average crowdfunding platform **Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Katie W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023 **What do you like best about FundRazr?** It works with fiscally sponsored groups. It's relatively easy to get a campaign off the ground. **What do you dislike about FundRazr?** We've had lots of issues with the platform. One donation got denied because it charged to Canada (we're in the U.S.). The tools for creating campaigns are not very customizeable and not very visually compelling. For donors who choose not to cover their fees, Fundrazr is lying to them and including their total donation toward the fundraising goal even though they will recoup those fees, anyhow - a disservice to both our mission and the donor, and borderline unethical under the tenets of 501c3 status. **What problems is FundRazr solving and how is that benefiting you?** Providing us with a fundraising platform to reach our mission goals. **Official Response from Mira Soullen:** > Hi Katie, thanks for your feedback and sorry for your experience with one donation getting denied. As you may know, FundRazr doesn't touch or hold funds. We work with third-party providers like PayPal and Stripe and rely on their mechanisms, which may deny transactions occasionally for various reasons. I am glad it was easy to get the campaign off the ground. We have two pricing plans - Free and Nearly Free - both supporting our mission to provide fundraisers with a powerful and free digital fundraising platform. To sustain our operations, we ask donors for optional support in the form of a tip. It is voluntary, and donors can easily opt out. We highly value our transparency standards and try to provide the best experience for fundraisers and donors. It is also a 3rd party site which claims to be social media friendly, but really is not. My crowdfunding is more successful using FB donation platform, which has not fees associated for either the donor/ org. Also, the "coaches" are very unhelpful. **What problems is FundRazr solving and how is that benefiting you?** This is beneficial for crowdfunding for my nonprofit clients.
