I haven't figured out why in the 3 years of using it. One Place to Manage Assets **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023 **What do you like best about Fulcrum?** Fulcrum Allows me to do my Sewer inspections easily and helps me to find the assets accurately, i can drive towards the assets easily, earlier i used to track it on maps manually, by tracing them a day before the inspections, but now i can plan on the day of inspection itself, and managing the data became much more easier where i can download the inspection data into required formats, and the most i use is excel format, overall fulcrum makes my inspection easier and reduces my effort on managing and maintaining the inspection data. **What do you dislike about Fulcrum?** Sometimes when i try to geo tag an asset on roadway, i used to stand a side while entering the data, and when i try to submit the location, the location mismatching than what i require and even though i enter co ordinates manually, and when i try to over write an previous inspection data, its bit tricky for me to save as new data instead of overwriting the old one with new one, i lost few assets data for the previous inspection. **What problems is Fulcrum solving and how is that benefiting you?** Fulcrum allows me to find the assets much quicker than using GIS, managing data and report making became much easier, photo collection of all the previous inspections is helpful to do compare analysis in the field, data conversion to different formats is helpful to manage the data easily. ### 7. The forms or "apps" is very scalable and highly customizable. I also like the fact that Fulcrum allows you to store data and photos on their server, and you also have the option to add codes to tweak data management further. **What do you dislike about Fulcrum?** For our purpose, the map component could have improved as it was lacking a scale bar. I think it's less of an issue for people who use this app in the city where roads have names etc, but very hard to navigate when you're out in the bush. **Recommendations to others considering Fulcrum:** I think this product is comparable to other similar products at a higher price tag, as long as you're in the urban areas where you can rely on basemaps for general navigation. If you're planning to use them for field data collection, I think it will help organize, but reconnaissance sampling may be hard to do with Fulcrum alone (no scale bar so with no point of reference, it's difficult to navigate). **What problems is Fulcrum solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mass data collection in rural parts of Canada. Probably could be advertised more with some real-world examples on how to utilize the software. It's allowed us to make a data collection app and share it with a group of people who can all add their inputs. Having multiple work fronts from different disciplines in the field means a great deal of traditional paperwork was being submitted on a daily basis. This often lead to misplaced data sheets, incorrect formatting of data retrieval, data being input into incorrect sections.
