**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

When assistance is required from customer service department of FirstGiving, their response can be very slow. Also, cannot create your own url/have to use first giving's url.

**Recommendations to others considering Panorama:**

It's very user-friendly and easy to navigate and share with others. Money transfer is also done in a timely fashion.

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating personal webpage for donors to access to raise funds/donations for various mental health initiatives with the University administration. It is intuitive for both users and donors at the other end.

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

**Recommendations to others considering Panorama:**

if youre looking to move your traditional paper bidsheet silent auction online than this is an amazing product

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They allowed us to organize and streamline our fundraising event and silent auction

  ### 3. Good for large volume of items and bidders

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Panorama?**

If you have a lot of high value items of interest to a wide variety of people, your auction doesn't need to rely on your own closed group. It is easy to piggyback on other auctions because bidders can easily find your stuff too using the search engine and categories. You have a choice to make your auction open to any bidder or closed to your own internal group of bidders like your school or company or nonprofit. Of course you need to be open to having some items used by people you have no connection to, and in the case of vacation homes your donors need to be made aware that user/winner will likely be someone you don't know or are associated with your group in some way, and are they comfortable with that. Makes payments and communications for users easy.

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

The cost of this auction site makes it not a good choice for smaller auctions. This is a better site for auctions with high value items that need more bidders to realize their value, or auctions with a higher number of items to make the cost worth it. In that case it is worth more for hosting the auction there because of the way it makes it easy for anyone to bid on your item, as well as utility of loading and closing each item when there are a lot of separate listings. There are less costly auction sites that are easier to use, although you need to promote your own auction link or you won't have bidders. If you have a small auction or lower value items this is probably not the best choice for you. If you have a lot of items and/or high value items this site is a good choice.

**Recommendations to others considering Panorama:**

Make sure you understand the different pricing levels and choose the best one for your auction. For payments there is what's charged by the site, and a can also be a separate charge from the payment method used. It adds up, but is worthwhile to simplify payments and take that headache away.

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bidding site for employee assistance program fundraising which has a very large variety of types of items, from vacation homes, event tickets, jewelery, restaurant gift cards, home baked goods, party/dinner invitations in private homes, and even used coats and electronics from the company's lost and found! Anything that will make a buck or two! Provides easy way to categorize items and gather payments. Used every year and similar items can be reloaded year over year. Employees / bidders can keep their account on the website and use every year. Easy link. Have the choice to open items up for larger audience of anyone on the site using it for any auction, or keep the item for only internal group to bid on so you have a greater chance of easily fulfilling getting the item to the winner without shipping it if it's something that needs to be picked up in person or fulfilled at a later date.

  ### 4. Simple and Effective tool for Fundraising

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danny C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Panorama?**

Honestly it's all about the simplicity. They make it super easy to raise funds without too much confusion or 'fat'. You can easily make a nice page that works!

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

Not a whole lot. Support is 9-5 but that works for us!

**Recommendations to others considering Panorama:**

Know it's capabilities up front. There are more robust offerings that require way more onboarding and are more complex, but they may be what you need.

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's great for fundraising and simple event management. It helps run an event and is very easy for our end users. That's the biggest thing, that folks aren't overwhelmed when using Firstgiving.

  ### 5. FirstGiving - Solid Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin B. | Education Programs Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2017

**What do you like best about Panorama?**

It's very easy to use and allows a lot of flexibility. Both of those make peer-to-peer fundraising a great source of both fundraising and marketing (our events). The ability to customize your fundraising pages allows our fundraisers the ability to tailor their message and to share their stories/relationship with the organization they are fundraising for.

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

The costs associated with the platform. Although I do think giving donors the option to cover the fee helps greatly.

**Recommendations to others considering Panorama:**

With any software purchase, do your research first. While FirstGiving is great, it is important to make sure that it will do everything you need for your specific organization and event.

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform makes peer to peer fundraising so much easier. We're able to have all of our event information in one spot and are able to pull reports as needed. Before, we were using several platforms to do cover everything that FirstGiving is able to do.

  ### 6. We made it work, great reporting options

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julie E. | Corporate Giving Development Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Panorama?**

You can easily tie credit cards to bidder numbers which makes awarding auction items a breeze. The quick sale function is also convenient for raffle tickets/wine pull type purchases. There are several great reports that you can pull with the click of a button that makes wrapping up your auction easy (well easier at least).

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

You cannot pre-assign bidder numbers. While you have the ability to customize a homepage that you can direct your guests to, the set up of the homepage is a bit clunky and not very intuitive.

**Recommendations to others considering Panorama:**

Ask lots of questions to ensure it will do everything you need it to do before signing up.

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linking credit card information to bidder numbers to facilitate auction check out.

  ### 7. How FirstGiving Helped Us

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tara S. | Meetings Project Manager, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2017

**What do you like best about Panorama?**

FirstGiving offered a lot of flexibility. By being able to create a template for our members on the back end and allow them to make their own personal changes gave our team's fundraising pages the personalized touch they needed. Adding photos and videos opened up the opportunity to give those donating a sense of what we were doing and why visually. Huge benefit!

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

Obviously, as a non-profit, having to covers the fees for having payments/donations processed via FirstGiving is a bummer. However, that's something that every similar platform has and FirstGiving offered a very good rate in comparison to other options.

**Recommendations to others considering Panorama:**

Make sure you do your research! FirstGiving was a huge help to our organization, but it may not be right for your and your non-profit. Just confirm that it fits your needs.

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With FirstGiving, we are able to have all of our volunteers create a fundraising page all in one spot. We are also able to process a great deal of logistics through the platform. Adding a survey to the initial setup gives us the power to ask them questions about themselves i.e. address, medical needs, t-shirt size, etc. It may seem small, but FirstGiving also allows you to run reports on all that information. Pulling it from one source was a great benefit to our administrative team.

  ### 8. Great for fundraising!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Courtney C. | Associate Executive Director, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2017

**What do you like best about Panorama?**

We use FirstGiving to create donation pages. Every donor and fundraiser we have sent to has been able to work with the program very easily and we have brought in new sources of income this year!

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

Still learning the reports and I wish there was an option to copy and paste.

**Recommendations to others considering Panorama:**

FirstGiving is very easy to use for any age fundraiser

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Donors and fundraisers are able to help bring in more nonprofit income through outreach to their connections.

  ### 9. Bidding for Good review

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily H. | Executive Director, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Panorama?**

The cost was the main reason that we tried the Bidding for Good software for one of our special events.

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

The close out process took a long time for the staff to process, lots of questions and customer service utilized post event.

**Recommendations to others considering Panorama:**

Only would recommend to others for using this software platform as an auction manager if everyone attending the event is a single (individual) not tied to a team, sponsor and or table.

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We thought that this would be a cost savings that we would incur using this software but that was not the case with the amount of time spent post event.

  ### 10. GiftWorks Cloud is better thank desktop

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Molly N. | Creative Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2017

**What do you like best about Panorama?**

More space, faster speed, and I like that you can add qualities or interests about donors for future volunteer projects.

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

I only generate thank you's, I don't mail them with GW, so going through those unnecessary steps is sometimes annoying.

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's for donor management and tracking, so it's helpful for knowing relationships and getting contact info.

  ### 11. FirstGiving is Okay

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole S. | Marketing Communications Manager, Non-Profit Organization Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Panorama?**

When using FirstGiving, I enjoyed how individual users can create a campaign page, upload your own image, and see when donors, anonymous or not, have donated to your page.

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

When I used FirstGiving I thought it looked old school and not very updated/modern.

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FirstGving helped my organization raise money for a photo scavenger hunt.

  ### 12. Might be better with practice in the interface...

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Panorama?**

Seems easy to use, easy enough interface to jump in and mostly understand right away.

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

It has several hidden things that can be confusing and mess up your auction and its results.

**Recommendations to others considering Panorama:**

Make sure you are thorough in setting up your auction- really make sure you think about all the details they ask you about! If you do that, this works fine.

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used it for a 5K auction, which was cool to not have to do it live and to let itself sort out.

  ### 13. Bidding for Good

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawn D. | Marketing & Communications Director, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2017

**What do you like best about Panorama?**

Accessibility and searching feature was more intelligent than others we have used.

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

It was messy for us to assign our own bidder numbers when tracking new registrants.

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Event Registrations and Live Auction bidding made more efficient

  ### 14. Expensive fees and not user friendly

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Panorama?**

Customer support was quick to respond and it had all the necesssary features.

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

Some features had additional fees and you could only get card swipers if you hire 2 night of on-site staff.

**Recommendations to others considering Panorama:**

I’d also look at Greater Giving.

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for mobile bidding.

  ### 15. Easy to set up

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Panorama?**

Simple to manage auction items and set up is pretty simple.

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

It doesn't integrate with our software program so if we want to track the items/transactions in our main CRM we have to import.

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to easily raise more money and manage the auction online

  ### 16. Great service for supporter-driven non-profits, to create a supporter page community

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arthur B. | Blackbaud Database Administrator, Religious Institutions, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2015

**What do you like best about Panorama?**

FirstGiving is a turn-key service, that does not charge the non-profit. All of the charges come from the donations, and the fee can even be billed to the donor. If non-profit supporters wish to fundraise on a non-profit's behalf, by setting up their own fundraising pages, FirstGiving is the right choice. They provide the platform, the tools to build the pages, and provide customer support. The non-profit just needs to accept the revenue that comes in. It's simple, it's well-designed, and the non-profit can download a transaction report, for import into their accounting system.

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

FirstGiving, at least prior to this summer, did not offer their non-profit clients the ability to tag pages with industry standard tags. For example, all non-profits use fund-based accounting. Most non-profits have a campaign, fund, and an appeal. Since the pages are set up by fundraisers, there's also the concept of solicitor. Again, these are all industry-standard. First of all, FirstGiving does not have these tags in their system. There are one or two fields that are customizable, but they have to be manually entered for each page. As a result, in order to import the transactions into non-profit accounting systems, such as Raiser's Edge, the non-profits had to either manipulate the files extensively in Excel, or invest in translation software that would match up the fundraiser's names with the related campaign, fund, appeal, and solicitor records. Second of all, FirstGiving does not have an approval process for new fundraiser's. Anyone who signs up, gets their own page. Once a few fundraisers have signed up, it's very difficult for a non-profit to opt out of the service. FirstGiving will simply keep sending money, even if the non-profit does not want to be on FirstGiving's platform. Finally, because there's no approval process, the non-profit does not have an opportunity to assign any codes before the page goes live, resulting in failed imports when new pages appear. While FirstGiving was very willing to listen to some suggestions, this was still an issue, earlier this year.

**Recommendations to others considering Panorama:**

Supporters can use FirstGiving without a non-profit's approval. This is great on one hand, but too many supporters using it, to crowd-fund your non-profit, can mean that you can't turn it off, without upsetting your core supporters. If you don't mind using it, it's a great tool, and it's worth investing some time to make sure your logo, and information is correct, and to make sure there are plenty of links to your regular website and to your programs. Use it both as a revenue source, and as a way to guide donors to the non-profit's other revenue sources and communication channels.

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Non-profits don't have the resources to build out a website that enables its supporters to generate their own pages. There are other services, such as Luminate or Sphere, that have similar functionality. Those services, while giving the non-profit much more control over the functionality, also cost more in fees and resources, such as developer time, and customer support. The business problem is how to enable your supporters to fundraise online, on your behalf, without having the skills, time, money, or labor. FirstGiving does everything, including customer support, and takes a reasonable (less than 10%) fee to do so. The benefits include having a turn-key product, that requires very little time and effort, but allows the supporters a feeling of ownership of the cause - which makes them better supporters. It also enables crowd-funding of your non-profit, where the crowd is generated by the supporters.

  ### 17. Firstgiving Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2015

**What do you like best about Panorama?**

The best part of firstgiving is adaptable to many types of fundraising events. I like that I can go in and modify the event at any time.

**What do you dislike about Panorama?**

Manually having to input outside donations as well as having to create categories that are so specific that you have to make many of them (example: adult registration plus 1 added purchase, adult registration plus two added purchases, etc.). I also don't like having to manually go into firstgiving at midnight to increase registration prices after the earlybird registration ends. There could be a timer function for this, which would make it a lot easier!

**Recommendations to others considering Panorama:**

Firstgiving is pretty easy to use, you just have to manually go in and add donations that are received offline as well as modify registration prices for your fundraising event.

**What problems is Panorama solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our nonprofit is trying to increase individual and team sign-ups for an annual event, and this year our registrations went down. Benefits include having one platform through which to manage donations, which is SO helpful for nonprofits.
