## Frontegg Reviews
  ### 1. Fast and Reliable CIAM for SaaS Products Without Rebuilding Auth From Scratch

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ievgen G. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Frontegg?**

Frontegg significantly speeds up implementing customer authentication and user management. The embedded UI, hosted login, and out-of-the-box features like users, tenants, roles, permissions, MFA saved us a lot of engineering time compared to building everything in-house. The SDKs and APIs are well structured, documentation is generally clear, and the solution integrates nicely into existing frontend and backend services. It allows us to focus more on core product development instead of auth infrastructure.

**What do you dislike about Frontegg?**

Occasionally, documentation lacks deeper real-world examples for more complex scenarios.

**What problems is Frontegg solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Frontegg solves the complexity and time cost of building and maintaining a secure customer identity and access management system. It handles authentication, user and tenant management, roles and permissions, MFA, and account security out of the box. This eliminates the need to design, implement, and constantly maintain these critical but non-core features internally. As a result, we reduced development time, lowered security risk, and were able to launch and iterate faster while relying on a production-ready CIAM solution.

  ### 2. Frontegg Makes Integration Easy — A Huge Time Saver for User Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeka G. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Frontegg?**

Frontegg has significantly simplified our authentication and user management processes. The built-in user portal, SSO, and team management features saved us months of development time. Integration was straightforward — their SDKs and documentation are well-structured, and the customer success team was very responsive throughout onboarding, it helps us resolving issues on everyday basic. We especially appreciate the flexibility with custom domain integration, the hosted login box, and the powerful account and user management features. Webhooks are also very helpful for syncing user and tenant changes with our internal systems. Overall, Frontegg made it easy to implement enterprise-grade auth and access control with minimal overhead.

**What do you dislike about Frontegg?**

Frontegg is a great platform, but a few areas could be improved. We’d like to see faster bug fixing and more frequent release cycles for resolving minor issues. Additionally, enhancing the design customization options for the UI components — such as the login box and admin portal — would help achieve a more consistent brand experience. These improvements would make an already strong product even better.

**What problems is Frontegg solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Frontegg helps us manage authentication, users, and account access across our platform without building those features in-house. It eliminates the need to maintain complex login flows, account settings, and permission management manually. Thanks to Frontegg’s easy integration, webhooks, and multi-tenant support, we’ve saved significant development time and can focus more on our core product features instead of identity infrastructure.

  ### 3. Streamlined Auth Management but Mixed Setup Experience

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gor D. | Senior Software Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Frontegg?**

I appreciate how Frontegg has streamlined operations for my team by migrating the management of local authentication setups to their platform. This transition has significantly reduced our engineering overhead and lowered the total cost of ownership. I am impressed by the supportive nature of the Frontegg team; they are usually quick to respond to our queries, which adds great value to our experience. The integration process, especially for frontend applications, was notably straightforward, saving us time and effort. Frontegg provides an excellent library that can be easily imported, allowing us to have authentication functionality ready on our app seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about Frontegg?**

I wish they would improve the Terraform side of their integration, as it would greatly help us. Also, the initial setup took some time and required a lot of discussion with the Frontegg team.

**What problems is Frontegg solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Frontegg to streamline operations by offloading local auth management, reducing engineering overhead, and lowering total ownership costs.

  ### 4. Streamlined Account Management with Room for Growth

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liav K.

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Frontegg?**

I really appreciate using Frontegg as it serves as an excellent login and signup authentication platform. It has significantly helped us scale and carefully manage our accounts by providing an efficient user management tool and logging features. I find it extremely valuable that we can easily create multiple accounts, manage them, and monitor issues effortlessly on a single platform for all environments. This comprehensive integration under one roof simplifies operational processes and enhances our efficiency. Overall, these aspects make Frontegg an indispensable part of our tech ecosystem.

**What do you dislike about Frontegg?**

I feel that Frontegg could include more metrics and user logs. This gap limits our ability to gain deeper insights into user interactions and system performance. Having access to more detailed metrics and comprehensive user logs would significantly enhance our capacity to monitor user activity and effectively troubleshoot issues.

**What problems is Frontegg solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Frontegg for login and signup authentication, scaling, and managing accounts carefully across all environments, simplifying account creation, management, and issue monitoring.

  ### 5. Quick Setup, Seamlessly Integrates into Workflow

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Atheequr Rahaman B.

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Frontegg?**

I really appreciate how easy it was to set up features with Frontegg. It seamlessly fits into my workflow and serves as a solid addition to my tech stack. I have also explored the Agent creation with MCP, which opens up several possibilities for trying new things. The product's integration with my existing tools, like the backend and API gateway, works really well. Most of the features in Frontegg were simple to plug in, reflecting its user-friendly nature. Thanks to the reliable service, I am looking forward to continuing to build on top of it.

**What do you dislike about Frontegg?**

I believe Frontegg could improve by simplifying some advanced options in a few areas. Making these options more simple and understandable would enhance the overall user experience.

**What problems is Frontegg solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I appreciate Frontegg for its easy setup and seamless integration, helping expand my tech stack and offering various possibilities. It fits well into my workflow, especially with MCP Agent, enhancing reliability and utility.

  ### 6. Smooth Setup, Powerful User Management Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael W.

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Frontegg?**

I find Frontegg incredibly valuable for managing our tenants and users, along with handling the login processes. I'm particularly appreciative of how it addresses all the login-related efforts such as social logins and SSO, freeing us from the need to manage these ourselves. I truly enjoy the smooth implementation process that Frontegg offers, which has been seamless and straightforward for our team. The JWT auth prehook feature stands out to me as it allows us to modify the JWT token payload when it is signed, enabling us to include vendor metadata and store internal properties for developers and non-external users efficiently. Additionally, the initial choice of Frontegg was a great decision as it integrates effectively with our React app and Node.js backend, aligning well with our existing technology stack. Overall, the ease of setting up Frontegg has been quite smooth, enhancing our overall experience and supporting our operations effectively.

**What do you dislike about Frontegg?**

I had issues with the old documentation of Frontegg, where I sometimes had to guess or reach out to support to determine which headers to use for certain API endpoints. This process was frustrating and time-consuming. I'm not sure if the new documentation has resolved this, but having complete instructions for each API endpoint would definitely improve the experience.

**What problems is Frontegg solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Frontegg to manage tenants, users, and logins effortlessly, solving the need for self-management of logins, social logins, and SSO. Its JWT auth prehook enhances functionality by allowing modifications to the JWT token payload for vendor metadata.

  ### 7. Streamlined User Management with Stellar Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mohammed F. | Ai developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Frontegg?**

I appreciate Frontegg for its outstanding ability to solve Single Sign-On (SSO) problems, which previously consumed significant time and resources in my work. The platform offers seamless integration options, enabling me to plug in various SSO providers like MagicLink effortlessly, which has made a significant impact. Additionally, I am impressed with Frontegg's support team, who provide excellent assistance. Their user management feature and multitenancy capabilities have been highly beneficial, allowing me to customize login forms and set user roles effectively. This flexibility in user management and the depth of features available for deeper exploration are some of the key highlights that stand out for me. Frontegg also integrates well with other software I use, such as Slack and AI agents like OpenAI, streamlining our operations and boosting efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Frontegg?**

I find the cost of Frontegg to be a concern, which could affect my decision to purchase it in the future. Additionally, the platform could benefit from enhanced backend specific automation, which is currently lacking and would be a valuable improvement.

**What problems is Frontegg solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Frontegg solved our SSO problems, significantly reducing setup time for SSO login portals. It allows easy integration of tools like MagicLink, supports multitenancy, and enables user role management, which enhances our backend capabilities and user management efficiency.

  ### 8. Effortless Multi-Tenancy Management with Frontegg

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kashif Z.

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Frontegg?**

I have been using Frontegg for approximately one year, primarily for provisioning single sign-on and managing multitenancy account management. I find the software's ease of use quite appealing, as it allows me to manage tasks without worrying about the backend. The feature that stands out the most is the ability to create accounts effortlessly, which enhances the management of customer access to our environment. The integration with Salesforce has also been seamless. Additionally, Frontegg ensures that I can see who is logged in and which accounts have been accessed, providing a comprehensive overview that aids in effective single sign-on setup. This functionality has been working well for me, enhancing the efficiency of my team and allowing us to focus on other critical tasks. Overall, the user-friendliness of Frontegg is significant enough that it would influence my decision to repurchase it. I would confidently recommend Frontegg to others, evidenced by my willingness to rate it a 10 on a recommendation scale.

**What do you dislike about Frontegg?**

I think Frontegg could benefit from more AI integration to help identify needs and detect configuration problems.

**What problems is Frontegg solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Frontegg for multitenancy account management and single sign-on provisioning, simplifying backend responsibilities and improving efficiency by easily tracking account access and setups.

  ### 9. Unified user and access management — Frontegg changed the game for us

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wojciech P. | Lead Enterprise Architect (EA) , Retail, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Frontegg?**

With Frontegg, we finally have a unified login experience across all our portals and can manage users, accounts, and access from a single place. We went all-in with Frontegg — and it was absolutely the right decision. We're also using it to control access to our APIs, and it has greatly simplified our security and integration processes.

One of the biggest benefits is that we’ve been able to take a whole bunch of features off our backlog — features that belong in the identity and access domain — and focus instead on our core business. We manage dozens of applications, and thanks to Frontegg, we no longer have to reinvent the wheel for each one.

The product is evolving quickly — with new capabilities like AI agents being introduced regularly — and the UX is top-notch.
And the Customer Success team? Simply out of this world. I’ve never seen support like this — they honestly feel like an extension of our own internal team: responsive, proactive, and deeply committed to our success.

It was surprisingly easy to implement, with clear documentation, great SDKs, and helpful onboarding support. Our developers were up and running quickly, which accelerated our timelines.

**What do you dislike about Frontegg?**

Not much to criticize. Some of the more advanced configurations can take time to fully understand at first, but the documentation is strong, and the support team is incredibly helpful. If anything, we’d like more options for customizing the UI to match our branding — but that’s a very minor point compared to the value we’re getting.

**What problems is Frontegg solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Frontegg is helping us solve several critical challenges around identity and access management.

Before adopting Frontegg, we were spending too much time and effort building and maintaining user authentication, role-based access control, account management, and login flows across multiple applications — all things that are essential, but not part of our core business.

With Frontegg, we've centralized all of that. We now have a unified login across all our portals, consistent access control for users and teams, and a single place to manage everything — from user roles to API access. It’s saved us from duplicating this effort across dozens of apps.

As a result, we’ve been able to remove a huge number of identity-related features from our development backlog and redirect our engineering efforts to where they matter most: building value for our customers. Plus, with new features rolling out regularly — like AI agents — Frontegg keeps unlocking new potential for us.

  ### 10. amazing provider for user management, RBAC, SSO

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordi M. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Frontegg?**

the simplicity it provides for you to set up a simple authentication and authorization for our platform and integration with our customers systems.

**What do you dislike about Frontegg?**

There is not much we dislike. We have been capable of finding ways to solve the issues we have had during the implementation.

**What problems is Frontegg solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We did not have to create a full system for user management, RBAC, feature flagging...

  ### 11. Simplifying Complexity with Expert Care

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Frontegg?**

Frontegg brings everything you need for identity management into one place — from sign-up and login to authentication, profiles, and permissions. Its REST APIs are easy to use and help lighten the backend workload. Features like MFA and passwordless login make it even simpler to build a secure, user-friendly experience without the usual integration hassle.

**What do you dislike about Frontegg?**

No big issues, documentation may be more clear

**What problems is Frontegg solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Frontegg saves a lot of developer time by low code integration for auth and user management

  ### 12. Effortless User Management with Frontegg

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Frontegg?**

Frontegg is how it takes care of all the boring but important user stuff—like login, sign-up, password resets, and even team management.so you can focus on building and developing your actual product.
It’s like having a readymade user system that just works without you having to reinvent the wheel,it’s super developer friendly with clean docs and easy integration.

**What do you dislike about Frontegg?**

While Frontegg is a powrful and convenient platform, one thing I’d point out is that it can feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially for smaller teams or those who r new to SaaS concepts like multitenancy or feature entitlements. The feature rich dashboard, while useful, may take some time to fully understand. Also, for some startups, pricing beyond the free tier might feel a bit steep as they scale. And if you need a very custom user experience, you might find yourself limited by pre-built UI components. That said, most of these are trade offs for the speed and structure it offers.

**What problems is Frontegg solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Frontegg solves the complx and time consuming problem of customer identity and access management (CIAM). Instead of building login systems, user roles, permissions, SSO, or tenant management from scratch, Frontegg gives you all this thing at a place....

Basically with this we are:
Saving development time
Boosting security
Smoother user experience
Faster product delivery
It’s like getting an entire auth team

  ### 13. We are using Frontegg in our SaaS platform for biotech clients.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Frontegg?**

API integration, competent and responsive support team.
Frontegg very flexible, allows you to implement many things in different ways, depending on the need

**What do you dislike about Frontegg?**

Documentation pretty good, but as always can be better in some cases. Some hidden features not documented, but accessible - which is good. SDK UI not enough customizable, that's why we chose API integration - but again, I really like flexibility of that product.

**What problems is Frontegg solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very nice integration. Also Frontegg allows us to use best practices of modern Authentication & Authorization and stop supporting our custom code.

  ### 14. Best integrated authentication/authorization solution I have found

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim G. | Contractor DBA, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Frontegg?**

The well designed SDKs for frontend and backend integrations. The elegant implementation of features such as entitlements and feature-flags. The customer support is top notch. It only takes a few lines of code to implement.

**What do you dislike about Frontegg?**

Not the current name recognition of Okta. Still a little pricy for startups.

**What problems is Frontegg solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User authentication and authorization for SaaS app and API protection.

  ### 15. Review from Support/Infra Perspective

FrontEgg does not seem to comply fully with OIDC or SAML specifications at times

SSO provider for customer-facing services
