There are css problems sometimes. It is way costly. There are open source editors at par with froala.

Froala Editor has a ean user interface that makes it straightforward to navigate the features.

Now this is my sixth year ever since I started using Froala Editor, and I have never come across any flaw.

We've used this system in one of our SaaS products and it has worked very well for us. The system is lightweight, extensible, quick to implement, and the support is great.

**What do you dislike about Froala Editor?**

Some of the documentation could be better. There were a few specific aspects of documentation that really needed to be updated. 

**Recommendations to others considering Froala Editor:**

It's a great tool, I recommend trying out the test version before buying though.

We implemented this system into our SaaS platform BrainLeaf. The system has worked very well under some heavy load situations.

**What do you like best about Froala Editor?**

Froala has been the most painless editor to integrate into our application. It's easy to work with from a development standpoint (it's much easier to customize than other tools we've tried), and the company is easy to do business with (affordable with no long contract negotiations!).  Bonus points for being able to paste images and paste cleanly from Word :)

**What do you dislike about Froala Editor?**

The biggest complaints from our users are limited table formatting,  no easy way to create anchors, and the lack of an insert code example tool. 

**Recommendations to others considering Froala Editor:**

I recommend user testing any new editor with your user base. Froala is awesome, but you are going to have a bad time if your users cannot do the things they want to do.

We have a software application that allows you to create online documents and articles. Froala is an easy-to-use modern WYSIWYG that supports things like paste from Word and Google Docs. It's been easy to customize and add our own options.

The API documentation for Froala make it very easy to integrate into a project. Each feature is well thought out and has a simple implementation, prioritising end user happiness over complexity.

There are a few obvious missing features but I have confidence that these will be implemented now that the jQuery removal project has been completed.

Have a thorough play with the features and check out the code produced behind the scenes.

I've used Froala Editor in both IFRAME mode and inline mode to allow my users to edit their website content with east. I also use its documentReady mode to allow users to create print-like documents.

The ease we could implement a full-featured content editor into our product.

We don't always get the features we want straight away. It seems lots of customers have demands!

Our web product requires an html to edit content within the system. It was difficult to find a flexible one, feature rich, with regular updates that had licencing at a level that was sensible for a small company to afford. Froala gave us all that. Thank you.

**What do you like best about Froala Editor?**

I've used probably a dozen WYSIWYG editors over the years. Froala seems to work the best. The ability to add your own buttons and customize it is very good too. We host 100% in the cloud so the ability to Save and Upload to handler is great. Inline mode is great!

**What do you dislike about Froala Editor?**

Needs a better Image Manager. Code View should be savable when editing in HTML. Wish Code View didn't render pasted in javascript (that would be hard to prevent) when switching back to visual view.

Their online help, options and examples are very good. Read them.

It just works, no excuses, no work arounds it works!  In this day of open source it's a great relief to have a professionally maintained product in our toolbox.

Their simple pricing model was also a big plus.

It's not free but really I don't care, it's worth the price.

The price is more than worth the benefits.

We upgraded from an open source component which had numerous bugs which we had to fix ourselves.  This product paid for itself in the first month in reduced maintenance of our previous tool.

Froala Editor is embedded and offered as a WYSIWIG editor in OctoberCMS and has convinced to become my choice before of its simple interface an easy to implement custom styles.
For me, the best part is the possibility to access the toolbar inline or in place of where the pointer is. What a great way not to loose time for building pages.

For now, maybe the documentation which could be more detailled, but on the other hand,  i've always found the answers to my questions in it … !

Froala works well out of the box, has plenty of framework integrations (ng, react, vue, etc), is well maintained (just announced v3 dropping jQuery yay!), has very good documentation with plenty of examples, and is easy to extend for custom needs. 

**What do you dislike about Froala Editor?**

Currently depends on jQuery, but that has been resolved in the latest version. Aside from that, I can't think of anything else.

How easy it is to expose rich text editing to non-technical website editors.

**What do you dislike about Froala Editor?**

As a rich text editor, it's great. It's missing any real layout functions. Even if it could allow users to turn off borders on tables they enter so people could line up content without knowing HTML would help. Our users have also reported it's difficult for them to place images alongside their text in the way they want.

We provide websites for membership-based organizations whose administrators are usually not technical. Froala has made it easier for those people to add custom content to their websites.

The default interface looks nice - I like that it uses Font Awesome.

It's a little bit involved to get setup.  It also required jQuery and Font Awesome - so it's not just a drop and play editor.

We were replacing an old editor that was no longer being developed.  It's great to find an editor still being developed.

It is full featured, has everything that you would need in an editor, is well documented, and easy to integrate.  The best part is that the licensing is not a subscription, but a one time fee.

The price is a little steep, but the alternatives (subscription or DIY) are far worse so it's worth it in the end.

I am using the editor as an editor for a CMS.  The benefits are that I saved at least 18 months by not having to build my own.

Excellent editor component, comes with very approachable source code. I especially like the amount of polish compared to other editors with regards to image uploads, table sizing etc.

Extending items, like we tried to add a math editor was a little tricker than we had planned and there wasn't a whole lot of support for it.

It had some performance issues and bugs when pasting code from Word. But they seem fixed now.

This text editor is lightweight and easy to integrate. Inline text editing tool is superb. Editor have all the tools that a content writer need to write the content.

Customisation is little bit hard. I did not get the way to install plugin in this text editor. Only way to hook the tool created to add new feature in the editor.

I would like to recommend to all CMS Developers to integrate this editor for good quality editing tool and high page speed. This have a standard way of editing the content.

Inline text editing tool for article writing for company website. When page is large then this editor is good to edit the content.

**What do you like best about Froala Editor?**

We tried them all, from NicEdit to TinyMCE and CKEditor, the list goes on. Some are good some are great, but Froala is a step above. The interface is very clean and easy on the eye. The speed of use is incredibly quick, an intuitive user interface makes it very easy to do things like add a row to a table.

Not only is the interface elegant but even their documentation is easy to navigate making integration into your existing platform a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Froala Editor?**

There used to be a couple of issue with older versions but these have all been fixed with current versions I can't fault it now days. The product is in active development thus you get new releases with

Some of the other options on the market are free but the small fee Froala request is worth every penny, we just use this in house but if your editor is facing your customers aesthetics are important and Froala is a very elegant solution. 

**What problems is Froala Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Writing articles and collaborating with staff. Our staff use this every day and we have had great feedback from all staff on how clean and easy to use Froala is.

Previously we had to create the HTML externally then manually upload the content, now we can edit in real time straight into the article. Thus if a customer spots a mistake we can quickly jump in and fix the issue within minutes.

I use it in my Angular 1.x application and am using version 2 of Froala.  It is a fairly lightweight WYSIWYG, I really like the full text editor and the option to have an inline editor to keep my screens "sexy".  It is very customizable from simple menu / toolbar changes to custom drop down menus. I created a custom merge field drop down list.  Another great feature that keeps the code lean is that you include the plugins you need. Basically if you don't need a toolbar feature you can reduce the code bloat like other editors have. 

 The rendered HTML seems to be very clean and so far I am very happy with this control. For a paid for editor this is the best one I have seen.

**What do you dislike about Froala Editor?**

Since I have not purchased a license yet as my website has not gone live support was not great, to be expected. They did have some decent documentation but I found it a bit clunky to navigate. 

**Recommendations to others considering Froala Editor:**

Like any control read the documentation and review the online examples. It is one of the easier WYSIWYG editors to implement.

A clean document editor, using the inline editor gives the user a look of completed document that can be quickly edited and previewed.

**What do you like best about Froala Editor?**

besides its wysiwyg functions, it has the best looking.  It's easy to implement, and plugin customise function.

**What do you dislike about Froala Editor?**

There is no full(complete) sample. I need to look around to find functions I needed and set them up one by one.

I hope that I could  have all functions just by one code line.  eg. a unified js script file and a unified css file.

We are running a news site,  providing latest tech, sports, game news to Chinese teenagers.  Froala has helped us build a full fledged content, yet clean html codes in technical perspective.  We have tried many editors and Froala is the one our editors likes most.

If you are developing a desktop editor, Froala is a very good option. Its API is rich and clean. 

**What do you dislike about Froala Editor?**

However, I am developing a hybrid mobile app and find Froala needs to improve in 1). hide the native toolbar while expose API for developer to link functions to custom out of editor buttons. 2). it is better to have Frala easy to work without jQuery or with light jQuery alternatives like jQlite, etc.

**What problems is Froala Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Write a hybrid mobile app with a rich text editor embedded.

We love how simple the UI is, but then also how flexible it is to add additional specific functionality you need based on the project's needs.

**What do you dislike about Froala Editor?**

There isn't much to say here, we haven't ran into anything at this point that we could say we dislike.

**What problems is Froala Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing content editors to markup their content without needing programmers. The benefit is saved developer time and increased usage of the platforms we add Froala too.
