**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

Ease of use. The points system is pretty configurable and pretty simple to use. They integrate well with our PEO service who initially introduced us and we have been with them ever since.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

lack of choices on what you can get. although I see that they are working on expanding this as I have seen a few new items each time I have logged on. bc I can see that they are working on it no penalty from me.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used services like this in the past but I think Fringe understand the basics of reporting and engaging my staff which the others lacked. I think its helpful to have a bonus structure these days.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

No downside, just excited to see more partnerships & vendors come to Fringe to give our employees even more options.

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

There is a huge array of choices for all types of interests and each selection has been worth the points! Can also share points with other employees if unused.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

It would be fun, albeit unrealistic, to find selections that cater to the local market somehow. It would be so lovely to support more local businesses.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a Slack channel dedicated to internally reviewing Fringe selections. It's helped build relationships in a remote-first work environment.

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

I like how the variety of services has grown since our firm started using Fringe as a rewards platform. Its nice that there are lots of choices at lower price points too.

  ### 15. Outstanding Platform and Appealing Benefits

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zach F. | Broker/Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

I love that my team has an opportunity to enjoy an "unexpected extra" benefit offered by my company that improves their quality of life and gives my firm a competitive advantage.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

I love the new platform! Any steps to make setup of the subscriptions more seamless using existing information to auto-create accounts with vendors vs a manual setup would be great.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employee attraction and retention, the opportunity for a more approachable benefit package vs traditional large employer options like health insurance and 401K's.

  ### 16. So much variety to choose from!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

I like the choices that Fringe provides users with - my employer started using Fringe for our employee gifts over a year ago, and I love that I have the freedom to choose how to spend points.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

More options, particularly in food delivery, would be great - I noticed grub hub is no longer in the list.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I often have a small amount of points leftover and end up not spending them.

  ### 17. Great idea, decent rewards, clunky website

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

Great way to provide employee perks/benefits

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

The website is barely responsive on a desktop; it's terrible on mobile, even the emails don't format well; why?

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides us with an easy way to reward team members for accomplishments.

  ### 18. A Great Tool for Encouraging and Thanking staff

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

The versatility in how the points could be spent.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

There was nothing that I disliked about the product

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used the benefits to get food and try new social experiences in my city.

  ### 19. Great benefit for employees!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

Employees can pick the benefits they actually want!

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

No complaints. The new platform update was a major improvement.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It adds to the employee experience by showing we care about our employees on a personal level - going beyond the standard required benefits.

  ### 20. An awesome benefit for staff

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Theresa P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2020

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

I am a teacher and my school network provided fringe points to all teachers for teacher appreciation week this year. I had never heard of fringe before but was excited to see what it was about. I was so pleasantly surprised by the variety of benefits we could choose from. My work friends and I were all texting each other the day we received our points, sharing what we were getting! I loved how it was easy and fun to use, allowed for our network to send gifts of equal value that also allowed us to personalize and pick what we liked best. I really hope fringe points will be our gift every year!

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

It seemed like a lot of variation in how many points certain things were worth. There were some companies where, if you did the points math, you were getting a deal on their items or subscriptions and other companies that seemed like they were asking too many points for what they were offering.

**Recommendations to others considering Fringe:**

I highly recommend fringe which allows companies to give their employees something they would truly want. Especially in the age of the pandemic when many joys of life are on hold, being able to choose a gift with my fringe points was so fun.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't had any problems with fringe. I am currently enjoying subscriptions to Vella Candles, FabFitFun boxes, Birchboxes and Audible - all from fringe points!

  ### 21. Great way to replace in-office benefits with something customizable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allyson S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

It's a great tool to share appreciation for your employees no matter what their interests or preferences might be. I love that it's easy for admin and managers alike to send points and that there are even charity or gifting options. Very easy tool to use and management + implementation was a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

I'd love more companies and partnerships to be added which I know they are doing on an ongoing basis. I'd also love if points were available as soon as they were purchased but it does take about 30 minutes usually for the points to populate and be ready to gift. I think more lower dollar value options could also be beneficial so people don't always feel like they have to save up their points for something they want if their company isn't gifting a large amount each month (I.E one month of a coffee subscription instead of being pushed into 6 months).

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We replaced our in-office benefits like unlimited snacks, coffee, happy hours, and massages with a monthly fringe point balance instead. We've also streamlined our work anniversaries, birthdays, and employee of the month gifts into points which makes it easier.

  ### 22. Amazing way to appreciate your employees

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erik B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

Appreciating employees is a tough thing in our industry where we primarily hire software developers. Everyone competing for employees has great traditional benefits - but we needed a way to stand out and additionally offer a non-traditional set of options.

Options! Fringe's marketplace gives our employees so many options. We love that there is something for every walk of life.

We not only use this on a regular basis but also for "Thank Yous" as well as birthdays and anniversaries.

Finally, our employees love trying and talking about the services they selected. The rewards are all the greater as they are discussed internally.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

The biggest challenge in Fringe was handling the payroll ramifications. As a smaller company, this was a hurdle that we are still working to operationalize after using it for 10+ months.

**Recommendations to others considering Fringe:**

Trying it out is inexpensive especially compared to the cost of full-time employees - I'd recommend trying it for 6 months. When you consider giving an employee an additional $100 per month or giving them $100 worth of points, the impact to their satisfaction with their employer with $100 worth of points is amazing.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our industry, traditional benefits are seen as table stakes in most employment. We needed a way to provide differentiating benefits for employees to feel appreciated outside of traditional salary and benefits.

In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, we immediately took some of the savings from people not being in the office and provided more Fringe benefits. This helped our employees who were now actively working from home with some of their own equipment feel part of the culture that was normative in our environment.

  ### 23. Great Extra and Unique Company Benefit

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim S. | Colorado Operations Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

Fringe has a TON of benefits to choose from -- everything from entertainment to spa services to coffee/wine subscriptions. There is certain to be something on there that each person finds useful, whether to fund an existing Netflix subscription to offset expenses or to treat yourself to a little something extra.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

I was surprised that many of the items required a points level above what my employer gave me. Fringe did allow me to pay the difference, but, still, I was a bit frustrated that I was going to have to pay out-of-pocket for something that was supposed to be a company benefit.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We took the opportunity to try a coffee subscription. It was something I had wanted to try for a while but just didn't want to spend the money on it. Now that I've tried it, I might be more willing to spend money on it myself in the future.

  ### 24. Endless Options

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mallory O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

I love how many options I have to choose from. You can pick things like ride share, food delivery, activities, and so much more. There are options for self-care and relaxation to help employees take care of themselves and their mental health. There are also options for your family including babysitting, hotels.com, cruises, activities, etc. As a college student and an employee, I have enjoyed using benefits to offset my out of pocket costs on things I already use regularly. It has also given me the opportunity to experience things I have considered before, but couldn't enjoy because of the price was too much at the time.

They also have connections to many brands which means you can choose the brand you actually want or try a new one! I would find it hard to believe if someone said they couldn't find a single thing on that website that excited them or fit their needs. There truly is something for everyone.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

I have noticed certain services will be there for a while and then disappear. I believe this is just done based on popularity and also contracts with those companies. They add plenty of services and options constantly though so the options that disappear aren't missed that much.

**Recommendations to others considering Fringe:**

Check out the endless options they have for redeeming points. It is a great way to reward employees.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fringe gives employees the options to pick benefits that they need. This eliminates wasting money on some gift that no one uses and just wastes everyone's time. Fringe makes employees actually feel appreciated and compensated for that.

  ### 25. Lots of potential

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2020

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

It’s is fun to sift through the options and learn about new services. Subscriptions that last months opposed to being a one time gift are a great perk. A pro and con is that you can get a new experience so it’s really like a gift...but that also means you can’t also use it to pay for something you need (not a cost saver).

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

As with many pre-packaged services or clubs, you end up searching for a fit rather than searching for exactly what you want. For example, I wanted fitness membership coverage but couldn’t just get my own gym paid for.

Also, I selected a service that had points plus cash and when I looked at the cost outside of fringe, it was lower. I asked a fringe rep and they said that was the arrangement with the company. Odd. At least give a $1 savings so it’s be worth signing up through fringe.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s pure enjoyment and perks - so maybe that’s helpful self care? It’s fun to get free stuff but I’m sure you could approach it with a focus on choosing items that are saving you $$$ or making life easier.

  ### 26. Great customizable benefits!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

With Fringe, you have so many different options to choose from, and they have been thoughtful with picking options. The options are there for people in all spheres and spaces in their lives. There are services/benefits for people who are pregnant, for people who have children, for people who like traveling, for people who want to have fun at home, for people who love takeout. The options have only improved over time and become more diverse. I love that my employer has begun to use Fringe as a way to diversify what benefits we want to receive. It feels like a really fun gift card.

I appreciate that the different benefits are bucketed into categories so that it's easy to flip through based on what types of benefits that I might be interested in.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

The only thing I would improve is the check out process on the website. It's sometimes confusing how to go from step to step because it is NOT a check out process similar to an online store. You have to go from the top (cart portion) and then you have to cycle through the options on the main page, while always going to the top cart portion to finalize. It's just not very intuitive and can be easily fixed.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My employer is using Fringe as a way to individualize benefits that their employees are utilizing. Since I work in a big company, one-size-fits-all benefits are not helpful because they do not represent the various, diverse lives that we all live. With Fringe, we're able to gain benefits from an individualized way. It feels like a fun way to get perks from my company.

  ### 27. Great approach to non-conventional benefits

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

Fringe is a unique way to allow businesses to recognize their employees, as well as encourage peer recognition. By offering a wide selection of personalized and meaningful services, Fringe gives the employee the opportunity to take advantage of items and experiences they may not have otherwise. It's a really wonderful service.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

There isn't really anything bad to say about the service. I look forward to seeing what new services are offered over time.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fringe gives a unique way to recognize employees for the work they are doing. Opposed to traditional monetary recognition, employees are given a variety of services to choose from, so they can customize the benefit to their current interests. I've truly enjoyed being able to try new services as a result of my Fringe points - and the option to gift points to peers is a great way to encourage recognition and support across your organization.

  ### 28. Great benefit for anyone!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

I love all the fact that there are options that apply to everyone. No matter the lifestyle, it is easy to find something that applies to you and helps simplify your life. I like having the option of choosing your own perks.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

Would love if there were even more options! I am sure that is something the team is working on already, but would love to have even more choices.

**Recommendations to others considering Fringe:**

Give it a shot! Great benefit to bring to your company

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has given us a great resource for our employees - a more personalized perk for everyone, rather than just set benefit that may not apply to each person in the company.

  ### 29. A Great Benefit for Working Parents!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2020

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

Fringe lets the user pick the benefit that matches their needs, which is so important in Covid times. Whether its food delivery services, childcare, or something simple like monthly razor delivery, this benefit can definitely help add some ease back into life.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

I really miss the Instacart benefit! I do see a lot of great services being added, but I was pretty bummed to see an important benefit like Instacart fall off the offerings. It would be great to see partnerships added for some of their affiliates, like Target or Costco, which are stores that provide necessities for families.

**Recommendations to others considering Fringe:**

If you are looking for a benefit to replace other in-office perks while people are working from home, this is a great way to do it.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My first fringe purchase was for two hours of service with Handy, so it's already helping me take care of repairs at home I don't have time to deal with.

  ### 30. Great!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

Great to have options especially as things have shifted during COVID and things that I may have not chosen before are more needed or convenient - like food and grocery delivery.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

Sometimes there is a disconnect between company and Fringe - or description of benefit is not completely accurate - but usually can get sorted out very quickly.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great to have options especially as things have shifted during COVID and things that I may have not chosen before are more needed or convenient - like food and grocery delivery.

  ### 31. Fringe benefits...is it worth it?

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

I like that Fringe has so many options and things that I actually like and can see myself using! They have something for men, women and families. Especially now that a lot of people are working from home, I love being able to use my points on new subscriptions or the always handy GrubHub or Uber Eats. I used my points on the Allure Beauty subscription and I love the variety!

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

I dislike that a lot of the Fringe options are higher than the amount my employer gave me. You have the option to use your points and then add money for the balance.

**Recommendations to others considering Fringe:**

Take your time to look through all of the options and rating and treat yourself!

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is a great benefits alterative for employers to offer during these unprecedented times.

  ### 32. Give employees the customized appreciation they really want!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

The wide variety of opportunities that keep me feeling appreciated, rejuvenated and happy about the management and administration teams that have given me these benefits to show they care about my hard work.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

Sometimes it's hard to tell how many points match up with certain dollar amounts or available benefits. Also, it was a little tricky getting Audible to understand that I had two different accounts for my free membership.

**Recommendations to others considering Fringe:**

If you want your employees to feel valued and appreciated, and you want to get the most out of their efforts, give them Fringe. They will thank you for it.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has informed me of opportunities that I didn't even know existed. My wife and I are constantly looking for new ways to stay informed and entertained and Fringe supplies those options. We also love shopping local, and Fringe has a great selection of small and local businesses to choose from.

  ### 33. Great diversity of options

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

I like the variety of options available in Fringe. In past experience with other similar services, the options are limited even though they are advertised othewise. But Fringe legitimately has so many options, and mainstream benefits that are actually usable (Netflix, Uber Eats, etc.)! The simplicity of the online tool is also fantastic. The web interface is completely intuitive and I believe users of all technical abilities will be able to easily use it.

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

Lack of low point total benefits. While you can always add dollars and get what you want, a larger variety of low point benefits would be great.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helped our organization provide incentives and rewards during these tough, COVID times.

  ### 34. Easy and Fun Experience

I can't think of anything I don't like about the platform

**Recommendations to others considering Fringe:**

take some time and explore the site. There is nothing worse than spending money before fully knowing your options.

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have any problems being solved, but using it for streaming services is beneficial because music is calming for my brain with the stress of working from home

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Fringe?**

Fringe allows you to choose from a ton of different personalized subscription boxes that deliver items right to your door. It's easy, fun, and everybody can find something they enjoy from it! Additionally, because it's subscription based, it is a gift that keeps on giving!

**What do you dislike about Fringe?**

There are a couple subscription boxes I've heard of that Fringe doesn't have; however, that did not stop me from finding something I really wanted!

**Recommendations to others considering Fringe:**

Explore the website! I'm sure you'll find something you'll enjoy, as will the rest of your employees!

**What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fringe has helped increase the personalization of work-related benefits, rather than giving all employees the same thing that some may or may not be interested in.
