On the positive side, the platform is very user-friendly, and I appreciate the ability to re-gift or send my Fringe points to other employees. While it's a good tool for recognizing employee efforts, the redemption choices could be improved to better suit everyone's preferences and provide more meaningful options at lower point values. **What do you dislike about Fringe?** I find the variety of redemption options on Fringe to be quite limited. Having choices like Amazon or Walmart would be much more convenient than the current abundance of subscription services. Our Canadian team enjoys a wider range of choices, which gives them a more favorable view of the platform. Unfortunately, the limited options available in the US mean that Fringe isn't as motivating as it could be. The team often compares it to similar programs at other companies that allow them to purchase branded gear or gift certificates for major retailers. The running joke here is that you can use your points to get a new set of windshield wipers or subscribe to a service you never wanted or needed. Perhaps if our company were more generous with providing points, the other redemption options would be more convenient. I had saved my Fringe points for over two years before redeeming because there weren't small redemption options that were worthwhile. **What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?** Could help solve business problems related to employee recognition and motivation, boosting morale, enhancing employee engagement, and promoting a positive workplace culture by providing a platform for rewarding employees with points that can be redeemed for various perks. By making benefits more fungible and customizable for individual employees, Fringe allows for employees to get the most out of corporate benefits and actively utilize benefits. With a good array of offers, Fringe has made it easy for me to find benefits for services I'm already using (i.e. NYTimes subscription) and expose me to newer ones I may not have considered (i.e. local massage/spa treatments). **What do you dislike about Fringe?** There are a couple of very minor issues I've had with Fringe: 1) Not being able to redeem multiples of a given benefit in a single checkout is a bit frustrating. If I'm trying to add multiples of the same gift card I have to add, checkout, then repeat. 2) Not a ton of gym pass benefits. It'd be great if Fringe considered partnering with local gyms for memberships, they have credits for Classpass but usually those are just redeeming dollar vouchers to put towards fairly pricey classes. **What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?** Not sure about recognition (only option I had to choose), we use it more to allow all employees to get benefits. Haven't seen any selective granting of rewards but that might just be something our org isn't leveraging or that I'm unaware of (still relatively new). ### 36. We have used it for doordash, gym and other monthly subscription to try out. Using our points is very easy to use either monthly or let them collect for something larger. **What do you dislike about Fringe?** Only thing I have found is it is hard for the gym membership. You get a new card every month. Wish there was a way to reload the current card instead of refreshing the card on file. Some gyms do not make easy. While it's great to have the option for food delivery services, not everyone lives in a place that service is useable. Having the option for Amazon, Target or resturaunts could create more enthusiasm when chosing from options. **What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?** Fringe solves one way a company can provide bonus and incentives to their employees. This is the first time an employer has offered Fringe as a benefit and it is one of the most unique perks I've ever had. You earn points each month, which you can spend right away or save for later. You redeem those points at many different types of companies, ranging from Southwest to Doordash and beyond. In particular, I had a Disneyland annual pass last year and before every visit, I would redeem my Fringe points for Disneyland money. It paid for all of my food and merch during my trips! Now that I don't have an annual pass, I've been using my points on Airbnb (for future travel plans) and Nintendo (to buy some fun video games). I love that I can personalize how my company rewards me through this benefit. **What do you dislike about Fringe?** There really is no downside. Fringe has so many options that I've never had any trouble figuring out where I wanted to redeem my points. **What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?** Companies offer perks and benefits that might not be relevant to every employee - for example, it's great if a company offers childcare benefits, but that doesn't really apply to employees that dont' have kids. Fringe tackles this problem by making their offerings flexible and personalized. I can choose to save up my points for a big trip. Or I can choose to try a different subscription every month. It's nice to have the option. ### 43. The employer can gift extra points to their employees in a seamless, efficient process. I appreciate the selection of uses, and to have the consumer reviews included makes it that much better. I've purchased from four different vendors on Fringe, and in each purchase all relevant details were very clear and readily available. The variety in points required for different uses is also a huge win if you don't have hundreds of points. I've only had to contact customer service once when my employer changed email domains, and Fringe resolved the issue quickly. **What do you dislike about Fringe?** For me, there are no downsides to using Fringe! A lot of the vendors are online, so I do sometimes wish there were more brick and mortar options such as a national coffee chain instead of ordering coffee online.
