The Good and the Bad **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2024 **What do you like best about Fringe?** It is an additional tool available for companies to reward employees. **What do you dislike about Fringe?** The options are limited and seem to be focused on specific topics (travel & health). Suggestions: (1)Would like to be able to purchase an actual "physical" gift card to give someone rather than a piece of paper with a code. (2) Would like to have more variety of vendors available to select from. (3) Some employees are not computer literate and have had problems with the app. **What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?** Actually, would prefer recognition in the form of money in our paycheck. ### 2. I'd rather have money **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Tegan J. | Senior Data Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2021 **What do you like best about Fringe?** I think it's a fun idea, and a way for your company to give you kudos for a job well done by giving you a present. **What do you dislike about Fringe?** The user interface isn't my favorite. It would be better if they had a drop-down list organized by category to help you find something that might interest you. Currently, you have a scroll through the list of categories--which only show you a hand full of options at a time. Or you have to know what you're looking for and search for it. I didn't find it very conducive to discovery. Also, I don't particularly appreciate that there is no real benefit to buying big-ticket items. Ex: If you spend twice as many Fringe points, you get exactly 2x the gift benefit. I would like to benefit from "buying in bulk". I also think they send too many emails. **What problems is Fringe solving and how is that benefiting you?** My company was looking for a way to show employee appreciation while not having to select a one-size-fits-all gift. In theory, the Fringe app would allow everyone to purchase something that was specifically interesting to them. In hindsight, I know several employees are less than thrilled with this product because the Fringe points get Federal income tax because they have an associated monetary value.
