I use Friendbuy for referrals and it provides a seamless process for our customers to refer their friends. I appreciate the great dedicated support team that Friendbuy has. Their platform is very user-friendly and comes with great analytics tools. The initial setup of Friendbuy was very easy.

**What do you like best about Friendbuy?**

The referral system is very easy to use and works well. It's been a nice addition to our retention and acquisition efforts and has been very popular with customers. The rewards system is still new to us, but so far it's working smoothly and customers have been collecting and redeeming their points successfully.

The customer support teams are fantastic and have been incredibly helpful throughout all of the setup and implementation. They're quick to answer questions and provide solutions, and often offer helpful advice on how to best utilize our referral and rewards programs.

**What do you dislike about Friendbuy?**

I haven't found anything unhelpful or what would be considered a downside to using FriendBuy yet.

**What problems is Friendbuy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's giving us a way to reward our most loyal customers and encourage them to purchase again, sooner. It's also provided a very easy way for current customers to refer new customers.

**What do you like best about Friendbuy?**

There is nothing to like about Friendbuy as it isnt really a Loyalty Program that provides value.

**What do you dislike about Friendbuy?**

What I dont like about Friendbuy:
1. Poor reporting dashboards and incorrect reporting
2. The only way to find out customers information is via Klaviyo and not in the Friendbuy system.
3. No ways to do a Gift With Purchase
4. To communicate with customers in the loyalty program, it must be done manually within Attentive or Klaviyo - no true integration
5. The customer service and account management is not very knowledgeable on their own product.
6. They state they are working on improvements but those promises are vaporware.
7. They are overpriced and cost more than much better competitors like Yotpo, LoyaltyLion, Bubblehouse.
8. Any customizations require significant development on a company's side.
9. The UX for customers to redeem points is not intuitive and causes issues for our customer service team to help customers redeem.
10. There is no segmentation capabilities in the system.
11. There is an additional $1k/mo charge if you want to be able to do a tier system for your loyalty program .

It was supposed to be a Loyalty Program for our company but it is a useless tool that doesnt work like other loyalty programs.

I have had a consistently positive experience with multipl Friendbuy CSM's. They are quick with new ideas, and always responsive and insightful. I also like that the product can be as hands-on or as hands-off as your team needs it to be.

We have had some slight reporting discrepencies over the years, as we've run into the occasional pixel issue.

**What do you like best about Friendbuy?**

- Flexibility; FBuy makes it easy to test new offers/creatives/CTAs with little to no internal support when fully utilizing FBuy's widgets and functionalities
- The FBuy team is extremely helpful and quick to respond
- Fraud rules available are robust 
- Widgets make it easy to implement things like referral status, that would normally require internal resources to build and maintain
- When implemented correctly and using FBuy's full suite of functionalities, reporting is robust and beneficial
- Options to go beyond referral credits and use the platform for loyalty/gamification

**What do you dislike about Friendbuy?**

- Would like some more flexibility with widget layout and design
- Without support from our FBuy team, it would be challenging to understand and maintain the various campaign set-ups (this could be due to still using legacy features)

**What do you like best about Friendbuy?**

I've had experiences with multiple Referral Programs in the past that have been implemented after lots of effort and then quickly abandoned due to how much manual effort was required for tracking and fulfilling rewards.  What I like the most about Friendbuy is that it was so turnkey to implement including the versioning of creative assets to meet our brand guidelines and specific program needs, a dashboard for tracking performance, hands-off reward fulfillment, and a customer service portal for our agents to support customer inquiries all in one place.

**What do you dislike about Friendbuy?**

I have no dislikes, any limitations we've run into have been on our side as it relates to some restrictions based on our specific e-commerce buy-flow and integrations.

**What problems is Friendbuy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saved us months of trying to build a Referral Program from scratch and gives us a turnkey solution to offer a Referral Program and reward fulfillment for our advocates and referrals with little effort on our end.

**What do you like best about Friendbuy?**

The new friendbuy platform is easy to use and was a streamline process to implement. The reporting capabilities within the friendbuy platform are top noch. It allows our team to continue to improve the referral program and test into new possibilities. The A/B testing capabilities give us free range to test into our loyalty program as we build with great insights. I am using the platform on a regular basis to pull insights and was easy to integrate into our Iterable platform as well.

**What do you dislike about Friendbuy?**

The only downside to Friendbuy is not on their end but ours as our site is set up differently so we can't use as many of the integrations the platform has to offer.

**What problems is Friendbuy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Friendbuy is helping us solve the contribution our referral program provides to our acquisition initiatives and test into what our customers are looking for when it comes to a loyalty program.

The sales team were always super responsive and friendly and worked to try to fit our needs. Similar with the customer service reps. They always seemed well prepared for meetings and took extensive notes. Appreciated how patient they were with us.

**What do you dislike about Friendbuy?**

The paying extra for each additional currency/ currency store thing was weird. We are a global company selling in loads of currencies, so it's strange that these diff currencies have to appear in different spaces (unless I didn't understand that part correctly)

We have a high NPS and highly engaged customers, so we want them to help grow our customer base

Friendbuy is a transparent, efficient, and best-in-class platform to evolve an authentic customer base. From integration to daily use, Friendbuy customer support has assisted whenever needed. Thank you for making our referral program dreams come true!

The downside of Friendbuy is that we've had some issues with our Klaviyo/ Friendbuy integration but this is in the process of getting fixed from the Friendbuy side.

Friendbuy has helped us evolve the already close-knit customer community we've created through word of mouth. Now, our digital channels have this opportunity to share their woom love with just a few clicks!

Very intuitive, user-friendly referral platform that has all the features you could ever want for referral marketing. Customer onboarding team is great, very thorough and guide you through to get your program live quickly.

Nothing to note. Would be great to add features to make it easy for brand ambassadors/creators/influencers to incentivise to their audiences.

It is harder than ever to acquire new customers. And more costly too. Friend Buy gives us a new way to acquire new customers at low cost.

We have a great customer success manager who is truly a strategic parter to our team. I also like how easy it is for us to monitor performance within the platform. We recently migrated from their legacy platform to the most recent version, and it's made a world of difference!

The various widgets often work well for our needs.

In theory, I really like offloading management of a referral program to a devoted service. When things work well, they work well!

**What do you dislike about Friendbuy?**

It would be really helpful to have a JavaScript library to interact with the Friendbuy API rather than needing to inject scripts, which are easy to mess up and can be very challenging to debug, especially since we have little visibility into what is happening, what various errors represent, etc. It also created some challenges in generating/handling secrets to avoid exposing sensitive data.

It replaces our custom referral program, which often led to maintenance challenges.

After the tool is setup properly by the developers, as marketers, you can arrange a 0 code referral and loyalty campaigns, edit the widgets via ui and decide the email desings you'll use.

**What do you dislike about Friendbuy?**

Sometimes while doing changes on the campaigns, you might miss some text since they're split by the tabs.

**What problems is Friendbuy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to start and manage referral campaigns without any engineering dependencies. With this, we're ablo to do A/B tests to see which works better. API access allows me to gather information regarding to usage of each advocate.

The Friendbuy onboarding and setup process was greatly aided by their account and onboarding managers' patience and willingness to try out new things. We hit a few bumps in the road but their team was always on call to help figure out how to resolve and keep our team updated.

**What do you dislike about Friendbuy?**

The referral tool is tried and true, but as they release the loyalty tool even internally they are still learning what it is capable of and what their customers want from it, which can lead to some frustration.

We have no view into our customer's intrapersonal relationships to one another without Friendbuy.

Super easy to set up and manage. Easy to track monthly and daily success and their customer success team is one of the best I've worked with.

**What do you dislike about Friendbuy?**

Nothing that I can think of. There are a few features that I'd like to have but are restricted to the higher tier. That's not a bad thing though..it's just a reason to upgrade.

It's a great tool for building out a referral and loyalty program. Not only that, but it's super easy to set up referral offers and track usage.

I like the ability to create new/different promotions as well as A/B testing. This allows us to figure out what works for our audience.

I wish the emails were more customizable. If we could add different blocks and feature areas I think this would increase email engagement and increase the incentive to share/purchase.

**What do you like best about Friendbuy?**

Friendbuy's onboarding process is second to none. Their team walks you through every part of the implementation, and makes every next step clear. Also, they're quick to respond. 

Beyond that, we love how configurable Friendbuy is. We can easily reward based on different events/criteria, and they have some really useful integrations (we use Segment and Tremendous).

**What do you dislike about Friendbuy?**

These are both minor quibbles:
1) Their widget editor is a little unintuitive. This is mitigated by the fact that you can provide a design file and their team will build your widgets for you 
2) There isn't an easy way for us to assign new referrals to the same salesperson who helped the Advocate (referrer)

We wanted to be able to reward out customers for referring friends and family to our brand.

It is a robust platform. It is well priced and their customer support is fantastic. They helped me with my project (a bilingual one) on a daily basis to make it happens. I am very pleased and would recommend.

The back-end of the widgets could be polished but once you understand how it works, it is all good.

Overall they have the best technology out there for companies looking to integrate with referral.  They play nicely with developers and offer a wide variety of program placements allowing a great customer adoption of the program.

They were on the pricier side when getting different partners.

FriendBuy is allowing our non-promotional brand to incentivize past customers to make an additional purchase AND to incentivize new customers to make their first, using an approved and streamlined promotion.

This is not a set-it-and-forget-it type of tool. To continue reaping the benefits of a referral program, you must be sure to continue to boost program awareness and utilization.

The UI is not as seamless as I would like but our CSM is always helpful with finding information.

We consider ourselves to be a premium brand, and discounts are few and far between in our marketing efforts. **What do you like best about Friendbuy?**

Friendbuy freed us from most of our manual processes and the tracking and reporting saves us hours of work managing our referrals program. We reviewed a couple of other platforms and felt that the solution that Friendbuy provided was the most complete; so far, we've been very happy.

**What do you dislike about Friendbuy?**

If you have a end to end ecomm platform with all sales performed online, Friendbuy provides a very good solution. As it happens, the business I manage is online to offline fulfillment so there's some reconciliation that needs to be done to determine payouts. I'm hoping that Friendbuy addresses the ability to feed offline data back to their system.

**What problems is Friendbuy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We ran an internal referral program, but it was fully manual.  Friendbuy's platform provides automation and reporting with efficiencies to scale the program as quickly as we want to. I fully expect Friendbuy to run at a high ROI as we continue to build our customer base.

White glove support. I appreciate a company focused on one area of expertise and the onboarding process is super easy and seamless. There's virtually no heavy lifting on the side of the merchant.

Not much to dislike other than the ability to change incentives more easily without light dev support on some of our CTA's that we have embedded on the site. Other than that everything is great.

Friendbuy is great for adding another acquisition channel and also rewarding your most loyal customers. Since IOS updates have made acquisition harder on paid social, friend buy has helped us generate new customers and also help us retain our most loyal customers as well.

Friend buy makes it easy for your customers to refer their friends for rewards. We like the simplicity and flexibility of creating campaigns and directing our customers to refer their friends.

Our account requires us to contact their team for certain design changes. I understand this isn't always the case for every client and we don't have many requests through the year. It's a small inconvenience.

With its current offering, I wouldn't say there is anything that I dislike. I think it would be great to see the program expand into more of a points/rewards system that could assist with retention and even build new long-term customers.

I wish there was a bit better reporting. We find that the platform doesn't really allow us to report on signups per PURL and instead only allows us to see which campaigns are driving the most sign ups and purchases.

It really allows us to team launch referral campaigns super quickly. The integration with Tremendous also allows us to not have to manually send giftcards and instead have our campaigns running without much daily oversight.

Easy implementation and Fraud prevention are the qualities I like the most about Friendbuy. It is also not a super expensive tool, and it's viable to partner and drive ROAS quite easily

Nothing particular. It would be nice if there were a more simplistic UI for those who are interested in content marketing functions, but don't have the technical skills

The team at Friendbuy is extremely helpful in helping you craft your referral program, design it, and implement it. The reporting interface is top-notch, and their fraud prevention ensures you aren't paying referral fees to bad actors.

The design interface is a tad limiting, but I appreciate that. Their built-in templates provide enough options and prevent you from "overthinking" the creative too much. The former interface was a bit clunky, but they redesigned it within the past year or two (?), and it's much easier to use now.

Once up and running, this referral program is on auto-pilot. We've seen an easy 3x ROI with near-zero maintenance.

The UX/UI of the friendbuy site is so easy to use! We have really enjoyed the partnership with our rep as he makes understanding our data a breeze and offers actionable steps to take things up a notch.

I think a feature that would be beneficial would be a way for users to stack their discounts automatically when subscribers have multiple referrals and unless you use a loyalty program that is currently not applikcable.

The platform is easy to use.  Once it is all set-up, it basically runs itself.  Our account manager is available for regular check-ins and provides great ideas and input for optimizing our programs.

The initial sell-in projections were quite a bit off from the actual performance.  However, we are trending in the right direction and gaining momentum.

The cost. Overall the platform has been average. We could use another referral SaaS and see similar results. Jessica brings all the value to Friendbuy. I would like to see improvements in the cost.

When doing our latest refresh, we weren't alerted to other assets we didn't know about. An email that was created in 2018 was being sent when the program had changed 2 times since then.

One thing I wish Friendbuy could track was the net referral revenue. It's great for showcasing how many folks convert, but I'd love a summary of the net gain (after returns, cancellations, etc.).

Friendbuy has been relatively easy to integrate. The customer service and tech teams have been extremely quick to respond. Reporting is easy to view.

I wish the widgets were more intuitive. The UX is clunky and it requires some digging to find the correct thing you're trying to edit. This could definitely be updated. I also wish we could integrate into different payment platforms so it's easier to integrate promo codes.

Allowing us to track our friend referrals and being able to appropriately reward our current users who do refer their friends. This is something that hasn't been built in-house and is a small but crucial part of our growth.
