I love that this product is easy to set up and use. I have a need to track time to the minute, and this makes it simple. I need to see my reports by time, and be able to separate projects within clients by time. This also allows for easy invoicing and ease of keeping track of those invoices. I don't need every function under. the sun. What it does, it does well for me at a reasonable price. I've had one minor issue to connect with customer support, and they were super responsive. Planning invoices and making my own reports are two of FreshBooks' most appealing features. Even individuals without accounting background will find its user interface to be straightforward and simple to use, making financial management a joy. In addition to keeping track of spending, I am also adept at managing invoices and generating financial reports; our company has also been successful in performing sales tax computations. I really enjoy how you can sync your bank transactions so you always know when your accounts are up-to-date. It has all of the fundamentals and none of the fluff. When I was a paying customer of Quickbooks, I felt like they were always tryign to sell me extra stuff I didn't really need. Freshbooks treats me like the paying customer I am, and not a sales lead extra junk.
I love the user interface. Not only does it allow me to do core functions in each designated section, but it also allows me to accomplish related tasks without leaving the section I am in.

I got bumped up to the middle tier too soon. Just because I have 6 clients doesn't mean my business is out of the woods, yet. I am still trying to make it sustainable and the fee jump was a bummer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is the easiest bookkeeping solution online that I have found. The price is within a start up companies budgets and the support is phenomenal. Each situation I had support from my dedicated team member who would help fix, and walk me through how to fix it myself. Always answers the phone in US, and not a call center. The only issue I have found is the inability to connect more than one bank account, which some users have. Other than that limitation, nothing so far has been a problem. Freshbooks offers the perfect blend of product mix, ease of use, and pricing for bookkeeping, invoicing, and estimating products. The customer support is absolutely top shelf. I have never had a bad experience with the Freshbooks support team. I've been using Freshbooks for almost 15 years. From the beginning, it was easy to implement into my business and easy to integrate into my workflow. I am in Freshbooks at least once per day tending to my bookkeeping, following up on invoices or writing new proposals. It is an absolute necessity for my small business. The only problem I've had over the years is that occasionally the bank connection will stop of automatically disconnect. It's not a huge problem but definitely a minor inconvenience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The help people are fantastic, very helpful and easy to understand. It was a little tricky navigating to the actual person but once there fantastic. They even called me back to check on me. The system works easily for me the user and for my customers. I can easily turn on and off payment buttons as needed. Installing the system and transfer our exsisting customers was easy. The only downsides I have found is that it does not have an automatic option to forward the credit card/ACH charges to the client, but is easy enough to make it a line item. The Sales Tax report could be better, adn actually total the gross , amount, taxable amounts, tax collected. It took me a while to figure out the settings for printing the report. It would be nice if it remembered my settings for printing the report. Would also be super helpful if it stored the sales Tax with the client details, instead of attached to the line items, but once you get in the practice of checking the sales tax it is not too bad and is easy to change. The platform is not clunky like how Quickbooks can be. It's simple and user-friendly, but sophisticated enough that the features do provide you with a way to do everything you need. I use it just to track spending, but it's a big job b/c I have multiple accounts and credit cards so it allows me to see it all in one place. Also, the yearly reporting is helpful for my CPA. I want to be able to call immediately and talk to someone on the phone but they want you to email instead which drives me nuts. So when you have an issue it can take a minute to correct but once you get going with the platform it's really rare to need help anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been a FreshBooks user now for almost 5 years. It was first recommended to me by the Apple Business team as a very solid timekeeping and invoicing system. After hundreds of invoices and dozens of different clients, I have found the app even better overtime. More important, whenever I have needed to contact support, I have always been able to resolve my issues quickly and professionally. When it comes to getting paid for your work, support is critical to the equation. I have no reservations in wholeheartedly endorsing this app for any entrepreneur or business owner. When I first started my own business I was looking into Quickbooks, but a friend of mine told me that I should check out FreshBooks instead as it was a more affordable alternative for my needs. I've been using FreshBooks for over 7 years now and I would definitely recommend it. From the get-go it was extremely easy to set up and to connect with Stripe for payment processing. They now have integrated FreshBooks payment processing powered by Stripe and switching over was really easy. They've always provided good phone support for me if I ever had a question and they have detailed, step-by-step guides published for just about anything you could need. Over time as my business and number of clients grew I have increased my level of subscription to accomodate and I'm glad that they had tiered options. I like that I can create recurring invoices for each of my clients and that they can save their payment methods for easy billing instead of having to wait for checks in the mail. For invoices that are not recurring they offer automatic reminders that you can set before or after a payment due date to make your life easier not having to bug clients and remind them.
FreshBooks also makes end of year accounting really easy. I keep track of all of my expenses on a monthly basis and at the end of the year it is easy to download/export the files that I need and I send these directly to my accountant who does the rest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only issue I have is that if one of my clients updates their payment method, I have to remove the card from their file and then they have to enter the new information and click save on the next invoice that they are sent. To be clear FreshBooks does provide the ability to edit payment information for existing clients, but feature is restricted to a different pricing tier than that to which I'm currently subscribed. This feature is the only thing that I would like or need from the higher tier and it's not very often that I need to update a clients card on file so I haven't upgraded, but if it was a standalone feature that I could purchase or if it was available at my current level that would be great.
