What do you like best?

The ability to discover mentions of the particular keywords we track for, as well as discover new mentions of our brand on different websites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes, the tool does not provide very good information on the specific keywords you are attempting to rank for which is a deterrent. In general, the Moz tool generally loads new content and tools very slowly which is a drawback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We spend a considerable amount of time in link building to increase overall visibility, domain authority, and awareness of our brand. Using Fresh Web Explorer enables us to discover new mentions of our brand on third-party websites, which is valuable in determining link quality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

There are better monitoring tools available, but if you have a Moz Pro subscription and are not using any of the other monitoring tools, then I would certainly suggest using Fresh Web Explorer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The ability to get the results straight to your inbox--and the mention authority listed with the results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

It's hard to really refine results--a lot is spam, a lot is overlooked due to the volume of results we've found we get. We're a small business, so I imagine it's even more overwhelming for larger businesses, organizations, and enterprises. Could use a bit more organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Be aware you will be receiving a lot of data -- probably more than you know what to do with! It's often difficult to sift through the junk to find anything of real value to you and your company. We've definitely caught some mentions we would have otherwise missed, but it's often overwhelming to find any legitimate brand mentions--especially if your company has a more common title or name, or if you're a larger organization. We're looking to find any mention of our firm that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. We did discover that we had been mentioned at a higher volume than we previously thought --but a lot of the results were spammy and weren't of any use to us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

A few things:

1) It's an all in one tool that helps me easily track mentions and links, which is not always an easy task with Google Alerts.

2) It's part of my paid Moz Pro subscription, so I do not have to pay any extra for Fresh Web Explorer.

What do you dislike?

The filter functionality is not very good. For instance, I can't view social mentions alone; I have to use other tools for that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's a good tool to complement your existing toolset. You'll want to have other systems in place (e.g. Google Alerts, analytics) to go with Fresh Web Explorer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
