I like the workflow enabled by it, which is the ability to manage a single codebase for both the free version designated for wordpress.org directory, and the premium version for selling. This also resulted in customer only needing to install the premium version and can safely delete the free version if they were using it before. The next best thing is how it handles for me the various business aspects of a plugin business, so I can focus on what I enjoy most, developing and improving my plugins. They've made many improvements in response to privacy issues raised in the past, which is about the only thing I'm a bit worried about before deciding on using Freemius for my products. Freemius has taken care of everything. Licensing, payment processing, refunds management, prorating, taxes, analytics, it's all taken care of. Even when I thought I had an unusual request, they already had an implemented solution. Their support team is always there to help and quick to add suggested improvements and features. After having grown "old" a bit, the checkout pages that can be used in the WordPress admin dashboard and on websites could use a modern but still neutral makeover. As I'm selling my plugin to customers in the EU, a huge mess would be waiting for me regarding taxes. Thanks to Freemius, this is all taken care of. They handle everything from payment processing (no credit card information on my server!) to providing customers invoices to sending them a license key email.
