## Freelo Reviews
 ### 1. Easy Task Tracking and Clear Timeline View in Freelo

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jindřich M. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

What I like best about Freelo is that I can easily keep track of all tasks assigned to me, and the timeline view helps me clearly see what deadlines and tasks are coming up next.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

What I dislike about Freelo is the different pricing tiers. Even though I already pay for it, some features are still locked behind a higher plan, and it often pushes me to upgrade and pay more.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freelo helps solve the problem of scattered notes and task management. Instead of using paper notes or keeping tasks in different places, I can have everything organized clearly in one place, which gives me a much better overview of all my tasks and deadlines.

 ### 2. Like Spanish: Easy to Use in the Beginning, but Difficult to Adapt the More Sophisticated Features

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fay F. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

Overview, check-boxes, multi-level tasks. When creating a task you can add instructions. When creating sub-tasks, you can add multiple at once (but if you want to add different details to the sub-tasks like different deadline or person who is to solve it, you already have to open it separately).

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

I do not really find it intuitive. If you do not spend sufficient time and energy (for a beginner it may take more of that to spend there) to personalise the settings, it will not be as great as it can be.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It definitely helps keep pace with individual steps/evolution of each project. I like linking it with calendar where it reminds me of the deadline...

 ### 3. A smart and intuitive assistant for managing projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alena J. | project assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

I like that I can have a clear list of all tasks in one place with deadlines and possible priority. At the same time, notifications remind me of upcoming task deadlines.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

I don’t like that there’s no option to set an hourly rate per user. Instead, it has to be set separately for each project, or you have to switch to the more expensive Business tariff.

I also don’t like that it isn’t possible to show even the lowest-level tasks (checklist items) on the dashboard, so the person responsible has to keep them in their head.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freelo helps us keep all the necessary tasks in one place. Thanks to it, we can also lead discussions directly on specific tasks, so everything stays clear and we don’t have to search for information in long email threads. In emails, it’s easy to make a mistake—for example, replying to only one recipient instead of the whole original group.

Also, thanks to the reporting options, we can calculate how much a task or activity will cost us financially and assess whether it’s beneficial for us.

 ### 4. Freelo: One place for team work, own projects, and life. Keeping complex projects simple

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

What I like most about Freelo is how clearly everything is organized when working on projects with colleagues. It’s easy to see who is responsible for what, and the task statuses (whether something is in progress or already finished) make the whole workflow much more transparent.

I also really appreciate that it reduces the need for excessive email communication. Having everything in one place helps avoid mistakes that can happen when emails get overlooked.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

If I had to mention something I don’t enjoy as much about Freelo, it would probably be the homepage layout. Personally, I would find it more intuitive if it offered a tile-based overview of individual projects, so I could quickly get a visual sense of everything at once.

The filtering system is definitely strong and flexible, and I can see how it works well for many users. However, I tend to prefer more of a “helicopter view” – a dashboard where I can see multiple projects and their key tasks in one place without needing to apply filters.

Sometimes I feel like I need a bit more of that high-level overview to stay fully oriented, especially when juggling several projects at the same time. A slightly more visual and summary-driven dashboard would make the experience even smoother for me.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Freelo, I primarily relied on Excel spreadsheets, and information was often scattered across different places – emails, notebooks, and various communication apps. It was quite difficult to keep track of where everything was and to stay organized mentally.

Freelo helps me bring everything into one place, so I always know where to find the information I need. It gives me a clear structure for my projects, makes task management much easier, and helps me stay focused even when handling multiple things at once. Instead of constantly searching or double-checking, I can rely on one system and feel more in control of my work.

 ### 5. Efficient Project Management with Freelo

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marta H. | Partnerství, fundraising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

I find Freelo to be a useful project management tool that helps keep tasks and communication organized in one place. It offers practical features for planning and tracking team work, making day-to-day organization easier. I like the task overview and the hierarchy of tasks, which give a clear picture of where everything stands. The 'done' button is a nice touch, and I appreciate being able to link documents from Google and other platforms. We all can communicate on one platform, which helps ensure the project is done in time. The initial setup was easy as well.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

I wish Freelo had more under to-do lists.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freelo keeps tasks and communication organized in one place, making day-to-day organization easier. It helps with task communication and visual oversight, leading to timely project completion. I also like its task hierarchy, 'done' button, and integration with Google Workspace.

 ### 6. Great notifications and flexible deadlines, but the UI could improve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** martina k. | translator and text editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

Notifications, plus the ability to set deadlines and adjust them when needed. I also like the option to include a link to another conversation, so information doesn’t have to be copy-pasted and can stay in one place. Overall, it’s great for helping us keep track of work tasks, since all the info, documents, and exchange history are kept together.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

It would be better if "To-Do-Lists" related to 1 task could somehow be connected in a chain. When we work on 1 project, where several people are involved, and the subtasks follow 1 after another, it would be great if the continuity of the conversation was preserved, without the necessity to jump out from the level and search for different To-Do-Lists.
Also, it would be helpful if the link to related documents was available at all levels.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our dynamic environment, where change is ever present, it really helps to keep in mind all the tasks, at the same time the deadlines are soft, so that when a more pressing activity arises, we can easily rearrange the sequence of the tasks and accommodate. It is also very useful that people in the group can chose to be notified.

 ### 7. Simple, intuitive, and effective project management for teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anna T. | Executive assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

Freelo is intuitive and well-organized, making it easy to manage projects, assign tasks, and keep communication clear within teams. I appreciate how simple it is to track progress through boards and checklists, and how it combines chat, task management, and file sharing in one place. The visual layout helps maintain clarity, and the notifications are just right.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

Overall, Freelo works really well for organizing tasks and projects, but sometimes I find certain features a bit less flexible than I’d like. For example, reports and summaries could be clearer or offer more detail, and some actions like editing several tasks at once or adjusting deadlines take a few extra steps. These aren’t major problems, but small improvements in these areas could make everyday work even smoother.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freelo helps keep our projects and daily tasks organized in one clear place. It makes it easy to see what needs to be done, who is responsible, and when things are due. Thanks to shared task lists and comments, communication within the team is more transparent and we avoid confusion or missed deadlines. It’s helpful for making sure everyone stays aligned on priorities.

 ### 8. We use Freelo to manage school mini-projects.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vratislav U. | Ředitel základní školy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

Freelo is very useful for delegating tasks remotely. We are a large school with around 100 employees, and for department managers it is one way to organize their work using a mobile phone and shared boards. We use it to manage projects, and we also share links with external workers so they can see who is responsible for what and what each department needs to do. I use it on a daily basis. Managers have their mobile phones and upload everything directly, so we don’t use paper notes.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

I miss the option to export data to Excel. The main meetings are still managed with paper and pen. But maybe this will be added in the future and we will adapt to it.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the Freelo program to manage school mini-projects and to prepare meetings of the school management.

 ### 9. Innovative Solution with Integration Challenges

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucie S.

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

I like that Freelo is an innovative solution to work issues, especially how it helps digitize many things. I appreciate being able to write down my timesheet and attendance directly in the calendar where everyone can see it right away. Freelo also has a lot of instructional videos and everything is well described, which made the initial setup smooth when transitioning from Outlook.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

When I set a timer for my work, it should be added to my calendar. What's the point of tracking an activity if it doesn't get added to my calendar?

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Freelo to digitize work issues, making it easier to manage my timesheet and attendance in the calendar for everyone to see.

 ### 10. User-Friendly and Easy to Understand

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Helena M. | project manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

It is user friendly, it is clear and easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

An overview of completed tasks. I'm missing a "repository" for completed projects.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A shared overview of the progress of projects within the work team.

 ### 11. Structured Project Management with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tomáš T. | Univrsity teacher, Head of institute (2009 - 2013)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

I appreciate Freelo for its clear and structured approach to project communication and organization. It effectively helps me keep project information well-organized and supports efficient collaboration, which aligns perfectly with my focus on quality communication and unified project management processes. Freelo excels in facilitating regular meetings and maintaining unified communication channels, significantly aiding in project management, specifically in construction and strategic projects. Additionally, the relatively simple initial setup makes it easy for new users to get started.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

I find the lack of project visualization tools, such as Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) or Gantt charts, problematic. These tools are crucial for effective project management as they offer a clear visual representation of project timelines and task dependencies, which is currently missing. Additionally, I am disappointed by the absence of budget planning and management features within the application. These are essential for comprehensive project planning and control, and their inclusion would significantly enhance the functionality of Freelo for my project management needs.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Freelo to streamline project communication and motivation, organizing construction projects efficiently through unified channels and structured collaboration.

 ### 12. Great for Task Tracking, Needs List Editing Improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michaela T. | Project manager, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

I use Freelo for keeping track of tasks during projects. It's clear to see what needs to be done.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

Once you make a to-do list, you can't add notes or a time frame. It's only at the point when you create this to-do list. You create it, make the checkbox tasks, save it, and then you realize you want to write something in the note according to this to-do list, but it's too late.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Freelo to keep track of tasks during projects, making it clear who is doing what and when. It solves planning issues, summarizes tasks, and helps assign work to colleagues. I like that it's clear to see what needs to be done.

 ### 13. Good sharepoint for tasks, projects or steps between/among colleagues.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

I like the clear overview of tasks, assigning people to tasks, setting deadlines, reminders for current tasks, the ability to edit tasks in various ways, and the structuring of subtasks. It is an improved electronic version of a to-do list designed for multiple people at the same time.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

I don’t use Freelo on a daily basis and haven’t tried all of its features yet. For me, some links and connections feel cumbersome, and some workflows are not very intuitive.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to keep to-do lists for various projects.

 ### 14. A Collaborative and User-Friendly Tool for Non-Profits

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aneta M. | PR & Marketing Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

Freelo provides an intuitive and well-organized workspace that makes project and task management easy, even for team members who are not very tech-oriented. For our non-profit organization, it helped centralize communication and task tracking, reducing the number of emails and missed deadlines. The ability to assign tasks, set deadlines, and track progress in real time made coordination among staff much smoother. One of the features we appreciate most about Freelo is its seamless integration with Google Calendar. Being able to share tasks and deadlines directly within our calendars makes scheduling and coordination much easier, especially when working with multiple team members and volunteers.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

We did experience a few issues with the screen recording feature, where some of our recorded sessions were lost even though we followed all the steps correctly. This was disappointing, as recordings are often important for documenting processes or sharing updates with team members who can’t attend meetings. Aside from that, the platform has been reliable and easy to use.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freelo helps us organize and manage multiple projects and volunteers in one central place, which is essential for our non-profit organization. Before using Freelo, we relied heavily on email threads and shared documents, which often led to confusion, missed deadlines, and duplicated work.

With Freelo, we can now assign clear responsibilities, set deadlines, and track progress across different initiatives. The integration with Google Calendar helps our team stay aligned on upcoming tasks and events, while the ability to communicate directly within tasks keeps all relevant information in one place.

 ### 15. Intuitive Interface and Seamless Team Coordination

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Motion Pictures and Film | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

Intuitive and user-friendly interface, easy to navigate even for new users. Flexible organization of projects and tasks by type, priority, or client. Notifications help ensure deadlines are met. File sharing and commenting directly within tasks. Team visibility that improves coordination and reduces misunderstandings.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

Some task status updates still require manual input and could be automated. Advanced templates/reports could offer more customization options. For users without previous experience in project tools, the initial project setup may be slightly challenging.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lack of coordination among team members. Chaotic tracking of tasks and deadlines. Need for a centralized place for tasks, documents, and comments. A tool that would allow transparent project tracking accessible to all team members.

It offers a clear structure of projects, tasks, and subtasks, improving overall transparency. It allows easy communication directly within tasks, reducing the need for external emails or chats. It supports assigning responsibilities, setting deadlines, and tracking completion, which made project management more efficient. It allows attaching documents/files/notes directly to tasks, making access and archiving easier.

Freelo is simple and convenient.
You can easily manage your project and share it with other collaborators.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

The main dashboard may be less clear for some users.
Email alerts can be perceived as annoying.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves daily tasks. I can assign work to subordinates and see how long they work on it.

 ### 17. Good Features, But Mobile App Needs Improvement

I appreciate how the Dashboard for Task is structured. Its organization makes it easy to use and navigate.

Using Freelo as a mobile app can be challenging at times. I occasionally encounter issues with scrolling in the calendar, which makes the experience less smooth.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

The best option is to divide everything into tasks and subtasks.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

All information must be entered into it. Without it, it is useless:D

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freelo takes care of keeping track of deadlines and entire tasks for us. When I have a task written down in Freelo, I don't forget about it.

 ### 21. Great Tool for Team Collaboration and Project Management

I also appreciate open support possibilities.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

There’s probably nothing I don’t like. If I come up with an idea for improvement, I send them an email. It actually happened once that I saw my idea implemented in future updates and discussed in forums.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All tasks at one place

- finally, our NGO has all projects in one place

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

- it’s easy to feel spammed by Freelo as it’s not straightforward to configure the system to send only the minimum necessary information.
- Settings and personal customization could be more intuitive

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Management of many projects in one place, improves team coordination, increases clarity about responsibilities. I

 ### 31. Reference Freelo

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

User-friendly design, very positive experience with assistance and communication with the Freelo team.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

The product has a slightly out-dated design, that is not necessarily inspiring.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Task tracking, improved time-management, clarity in task distribution.

 ### 32. Put all our tasks in one place.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oto P. | Project manager / assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

I use Freelo to write down my working hours and navigate in my tasks on a daily basis. After nearly a year of experience I mainly appreciate its Czech interface which is a big advantage for us as some of our organization's members are not a functioning English speakers. In the Team version, I personally find it more than sufficient for us. Freelo is pretty intuitive to use and even if you struggle to find something, the "Search" function is surprisingly well set. I really like the possibility of writing down the working hours directly linked to the task.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

The greatest disadvantage of Freelo from my perspective is its effort to serve as a universal platform for all companies and organizations. This leads to some vague display of tables that are pretty much useless to us (I also find the time measure gadget an overkill). This might work perfectly in some teams but it shows unnecessary for us.
I personally would very much appreciate customizable homepage and tabs for better organization of projects (which can't be organized further, or at least I did not find a way to do so).

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freelo is really useful for a bigger number of team members when emails and phone calls are no longer sufficient. Works really well when you are not set up in one physical office and provides much better control of the tasks being done. The display of budget / worked hours and invested finances works really well for us. However, it takes some time for all the colleagues to adapt to the new environment, and it my opinion it would pay off to create a specialist "Freelo manager" who will create all projects and tasks templates and will, at least for some time, coordinate the correct run of the things, otherwise it becomes really messy as there is multiple ways to create, mark and organize tasks and projects and unless you make and order, no one else will.

 ### 33. Really accelerated the way our NGO works.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** A_JARO J. | Project & PR manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

We use it every day for one year. The biggest advantage is definitely its Czech interface, as this would be a big barrier for some of our colleagues (compared to Asana, which we tested earlier). We have the Team version and most of the features are sufficient for us. Very good customer support!

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

Obviously, the system is not completely set up for the system of functioning of NGOs. So we had to be quite creative and adapt it to make it usable for ours. Among the weaknesses I can mention: not quite perfect use of tags or inability to sort projects into smaller logical units. Less technically proficient colleagues have a problem with integration.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We decided to switch to Freelo because our team has grown considerably and email communication was no longer effective. We needed something so that we didn't lose tasks and could better control they are done. At the same time, we needed to keep better track of budgets and work reports. Many things are still being tweaked and some colleagues are still getting used to it or they're outright boycotting it. :) It looks like it will save us money, even though it is a paid service.

 ### 34. A clear and nice environment that can be adjusted according to the needs and specialization of the project

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michaela H. | Vedoucí pracovník, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

Intuitiveness, clarity, and ease of use of tools

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

I don't like that it's not possible to insert paths or links to documents or tables, and that every time there are corrections or additions, it's necessary to download the item and re-upload it. This bothers me a lot on Freelo.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Division of competencies, time allocation, plans, regulation of responsibilities

 ### 35. Freelo in non profit organization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martina M. | Communication Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Freelo?**

The Freelo app has become an useful tool for us in managing projects and coordinating team work. Its simplicity, flexibility, and ability to integrate with other tools help us not only organize our tasks but also improve communication and teamwork.

**What do you dislike about Freelo?**

While the app is designed to be user-friendly, new users may initially feel overwhelmed by the variety of features, particularly if they are not accustomed to using project management tools.

**What problems is Freelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Each of our projects has clearly defined tasks, assigned to specific team members. This way, we always have an overview of what needs to be done, who is responsible for each task, and the deadlines for completion. Thanks to Freelo, we have full control over the entire project process, allowing us to focus more on what truly matters.
