I the brainstorming part. Even though everything like User testing, Roadmaps and all are good features. But brainstorming in general is something that I don't usually find somewhere else as properly implemented as on Freehand Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It hard to say what I dislike because for what it is built it's doing it's job greatly and I appreciate that. But since it's not means for full fledged designing that can be a thing that many people might not like, but I obviously don't judge so hard Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We like that Freehand provides us with a collaborative space (for us as the design team and product teams) to explore ideas in a way that is fun and low-stress. We've been using Freehand more in the last year since we've seen the value in using it for low-fidelity POCs. We like doing this because we'd prefer product teams not to have access to our Sketch files. I am excited about the new features, particularly the AI grouping of sticky notes. There are a lot of features and integrations we don't see a use for, so I'm afraid of it becoming "too much". A big part of the reason I use Freehand is to insert screenshots for reference, and I don't like that I can't rotate them when I want to. We have also been noticing that zooming in and out from the mousepad has not been working sometimes, which is not ideal when it happens in meetings. I wish I could see from a glance which viewers are actively looking at the board, not just have it open in one of their web tabs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- It's easy to use overall
- It's easy to learn how to use each feature on the board even for those who use it forst time
- It's easy to register for the new members
- It has integrations with the tools we use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It took me awhile to find that "Explore" icon is the place where I can add any of the nice templates in the same board. Other than that, I like everything else! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am a huge fan of InVision Freehand and use it inextricably in my work as a product development professional. I started using it during pandemic and found, to my surprise, it is an amazing digital replacement for a whiteboard. I use it to take notes, gather, organize and review visuals for many different apps/websites and brands we research when design new apps and websites, and to do low-fidelity sketches for the early stages of product design. We also use it to better articulate product features, requirements and bugs to developers on our team. Lastly, we use it to map out high level product architecture and detailed information architecture when creating products.
I have tried other tools, like Miro, and I find them to be too "heavy." I like how Freehand is so lightweight and easy to pick up and run with. We've also used it for client brainstorms and interactive feedback/collaboration sessions with remote and in-person team members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like that they changed the colors!
Quick keys could be improved slightly (though they are pretty good as-is).
WORK OFFLINE is the biggest missing feature in Freehand! I work on it on airplanes a lot, and a few times the dicey airplane connection has messed up my work.
Otherwise, I'm hardcore Team Freehand! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Freehand by InVision provides a collaborative whiteboard space, as I can invite anyone to my freehand, we can all work together. It is a great tool for brainstorming. Also, it can be integrated with other products. Freehand is affordable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Freehand by InVision provides limited image editing capabilities. It does not offer a lot of image editing features like the ability to rotate, crop, or layer images. It does not provide any support for vector graphics. When working on large canvases, it becomes slow many times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ability to organize the interview notes and later analyise. I like locking and unlocking along with duplication of the data. Easy moving and the not to stuffy UI Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
More templates. especially when I create a template and try to create a new doc, it shows existing tmplates over the one I created which I use the most. so it's always an additional step Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that I can have an entire canvas of designs for a project - both on desktop and on mobile. And the commenting ability is my favorite - I can tag colleagues on specific elements of an asset. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that sometimes the system goes down or is inaccessible. There have been a number of times where I have had trouble logging in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how easy it is to use. The UI is fantastic for quick learning. The ability to copy and paste from past designs is very beneficial. It is an excellent alternative to complete designer platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have no issues with Freehand. This feature mat exists but the option to store design components for quick adds would be beneficial. There are not any immediate problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like most about Invision Freehand is InVision Freehand can be a remarkable tool and a good way, to begin with, because it offers a simple and intuitive interface, making it easy to get started with creating designs, sketching out ideas, and also an excellent way to share your ideas with others, and prototypes. Invision Freehand is also a great tool for a design collaboration on design projects because design collaboration is an essential aspect of the design process for any organization because it can lead to better communication, increased creativity, faster decision-making, increased productivity, better quality results, and enhanced team building. So in short, Invision Freehand is a great tool for any marketing organization to visually communicate and collaborate on ideas, concepts, designs, and a great tool for faster Prototyping which not only allows marketers to quickly test but also refine their ideas. Overall, while InVision Freehand has its strengths, limited integration is one of its drawbacks its capabilities may be limited when it comes to integrating with other tools and platforms that your marketing or design team may be using. This can make it difficult to streamline your workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At first go, I thought it was like Microsoft whiteboard or google Jamboard, but when I dug deeper, I found it has got some templates you can use to make your life easier. Along with that, there are a lot of tools that you can integrate with Freehand, like Figma, Asana, and Slack! All these tools are used in corporate life so often, and there was a need to make something like this to make brainstorming easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The pricing, I feel, for the features, it provides for a team, they shouldn't be charging around $5/user/month. The max price they could have charged for this software was something like $2.99/user/month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
