Freecost is free recipe-costing and food-cost software built by a working chef. Cost every recipe and menu item against live ingredient prices — with real yield math, so the broccoli you trim is costed at what it actually costs per usable pound. When prices change, every affected dish re-costs itself automatically. Snap a photo of any invoice with the Android app and Freecost reads the lines, matches them to your ingredients, and updates your prices overnight. Walk your shelves with your phone for inventory counts in the units you actually buy. Log waste in seconds and see what it's really costing you. Recipes print as clean kitchen cards. Menu items roll up sub-recipes. Allergen tracking is built in. Everything works on web and Android with the same account, and the mobile app works offline. Freecost is genuinely free — no trial clock, no credit card.
