I’ve been using FreeCAD for designing simple 3D models and small parts mainly for 3D printing. The best part is that it’s free and open-source, yet still offers a good range of CAD features like parametric modeling, file import/export, and basic design tools. I would recommend to the FreeCAD developers community to focus on the main features of what a robust and reliable 3D CAD parametric solid modeling tool must be capable of. I have a 3d printer, and simetemes I need to make a diffrent simple 3d model. Freecad helps me to do this. It free software, and its wonderful. It crosplatform app. It is fine to me, because I use ubuntu. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Freecad has slow performanse. It inposible to edit or wiew large models. In my work, my colleagues give me to view step models. Its so hard to view this models using Freecad.

Also Freecad not good works with b-spline with Skether and PartDesign worckbanches. Sometimes inpossible make a fillet if you use b-spline. Its hard to undestnd how to clone skecth to another body. How to move, clone, or rotate it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Free CAD is a rare bird because the number of open-source CAD applications is somewhat limited. The application appears a suite with modules for different CAD applications, called "workbenches". There are workbenches for Architecture, Draft, Reverse Engineering, Part Design, and much more.

Being open-source, we can expect more workbenches to be added as the community around FreeCAD grows.
