This software can automate a lot of different processes that make managing large numbers of facilities much easier. I strongly recommend taking the time to learn the different functions within FrameworkLTC to unlock the vast potiental of this software. The support from SoftWriters is above and beyond. They always try their best to give us a viable solution to any issue we happen to bring them. **What do you dislike about FrameworkLTC?** The learning curve for FrameworkLTC is high. This may be a con to someone that wants :"easy to use" software. Because of this learning curve, users that aren't trained can very easily cause problems with the system if the administrators do not have a firm grasp on permissions and functions. **What problems is FrameworkLTC solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are bidding on state facilities and we need a custom report. There are certain processes that make it easy to do large volume tasks, such as cycle fill. The ECM queue that integrates with LTC is an electronic document tracker making it easy to retreive in the archive. All parts of the presctiption process have worfklow tracking to follow where your order is. LTC allows us to service our communities in an individualized manner. We've been able to automate many workflows so that we can spend more time with patients and clinical recommendations. It's easy to train new users on this platform due to the automated steps and clean design. **What do you dislike about FrameworkLTC?** One of the downsides to FrameworkLTC can be the complex nature of billing. It really takes some experience in using the different types of billing availablities. I would consider it to almost be like it's own space within the software where you have to have a few experts on your team to ensure everything is set up properly and fits each of the buildings. It would also be nice to be able to integrate some sort of retail POS system considering our IL and LTC@Home patients. It offers tons of functions to allow you to run your pharmacy as you need. Any time there is a question, I feel confident that I can reach out to the support team and get a prompt response to resolve any issues. FrameworkLTC integrates with a wide range of products, including but not limited to the other products in their software suite. At Guardian, we primarily utilize FrameworkLTC on a daily basis and it is very important to have a product that is functional and reliable. Users find the product easy to use in most situations, but for the more involved functions, I am excited to see the release of Framework University in the near future. Implimenting the product will be a breeze for any new or existing pharmacy and will make a great addition. **What do you dislike about FrameworkLTC?** I hope to see FrameworkLTC implement more cloud based solutions in the future. Framework LTC is a big piece of machinery with a lot of moving parts. Overall, my life has been much easier since switching to Framework LTC, however even though the product is great, I like that softwriters is dedicated to trying to improve it. **What do you dislike about FrameworkLTC?** There is a big learning curve compared to other pharmacy systems in the market. I think Framework university will greatly help, but hiring and training on Framework can be stressful at times. **What problems is FrameworkLTC solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cycle fill, claim adjudication, the ability to talk to multiple EMAR/EHR systems. You have options. You are being bombarded by everything and anything. Regulations are getting harder. Reimbursement is getting tougher. The future of change that was years is now months. Other companies are motivated by stock share, buyouts, market share and the like. These are not bad things. But with Framework, your success is also theirs. Allows Drug and allergy screening. **What do you dislike about FrameworkLTC?** it is very difficult to adjust an order if an error is foud in the review process. For example, you need to open up another window, bring up the patient, find the particular order, then edit it. It should just allow a click during the review screen to edit the order bein reviewed. Editting other patient information is also time consuming and could use a major update. Transferring Rx's is also another issue- you must maunually type in every Rx you are transferring OUT. This should also be a one click operation, not a 5-10 minute debacle with manually typing the information is, which leaves room for errors. **What problems is FrameworkLTC solving and how is that benefiting you?** Collecting patient information and orders in one place. ### 23. It allows us to perform more complex actions in less time and the well-designed layout makes it easy to collect and use claim and benefit information without needing to take a bunch of steps to get from A to B. **What do you dislike about FrameworkLTC?** Sometimes it takes awhile to load the next screen after clicking out of one. It also doesn’t prevent multiple people from working on one prescription at the same time so sometimes the overlap causes a problem. **Recommendations to others considering FrameworkLTC:** This is an advanced application that will allow you to work efficiently and I definitely recommend it. **What problems is FrameworkLTC solving and how is that benefiting you?** Claims adjudication is easier with the informative claim response messages and the layout and ease of entering override codes is really helpful and saves a lot of time. ### 31. There is also a picture associated with each drug which is helpful for identification. Notifications regarding half tablets are also very helpful. **What do you dislike about FrameworkLTC?** The difficulty in changing NDCs. There should be a button or option to easily change the NDC. Currently the process is reversing the claim, scanning the new NDC, saving, filing a new claim, then printing out a new label. **Recommendations to others considering FrameworkLTC:** It's an simple system that may need some updated shortcuts and a more modern interface. **What problems is FrameworkLTC solving and how is that benefiting you?** The system allows for a print-out of employee productivity which is beneficial in evaluation processes. ### 32. Design of database is very helpful to allow users to obtain customized management reports. **What do you dislike about FrameworkLTC?** Total cost of ownership is relatively high. In many cases, our on-site IT and operations team submits thorough bug reports - including programmatic solutions - to the support team. Support capabilities are fine for basic questions and problems but are not generally helpful when more complex issues are encountered. Accounting solution (Sage ERP 300) is archaic and data synchronization process is slow. **Recommendations to others considering FrameworkLTC:** Ask very detailed questions during evaluation and specify your requirements in as much detail as possible. Understand that the product - as-is - is exceptionally capable and flexible, but know that customized programming does often take some time as developers respond to requests from many different customers. Be sure to have your internal IT systems updated, maintained, and personnel readily in place to address any infrastructure or hardware issues. Invest as much as budget allows in following SoftWriters' recommended specifications for hardware.
