All unchanged aspects are still outstanding. **What do you dislike about Foxit PDF Reader?** The UI has changed for the worst: When reading multiple PDFs, it is difficult to see which PDF is active. The Orange banner at the top makes it hard to read the current PDF and the various tabs are barely visible when one, in particular, is selected. The area highlight tool, when used across multiple pages, leaves this horrible, multi-sectioned area highlight. All keyboard binds have defaulted to original settings (this has never happened before with any previous update of Foxit PDF Reader). Lastly, the comment tab that used to open at the top of the toolbar was unintrusive and easy to navigate; Now, the comment toolbar pops up on the right-hand side of the screen, and I must wait for this to load on every PDF. Support is also very good, including ribbon tutorials, help, manuals, and a lot of online resources created by a huge community of Foxit users and debuggers. For example, I did not intuitively find the highlighting/noting tool, but immediately figured it out using tutorials. **What do you dislike about Foxit PDF Reader?** Sometimes, if you don't need very fine customization and all functionality but just need to quick-read a pdf, a more basic reader with a simpler interface would be useful, the one like Adobe Acrobat. **Recommendations to others considering Foxit PDF Reader:** When in doubt, read the tutorial or google for peer advice. It does everything you would expect from a free pdf reader. If I had to choose anything to dislike, I would say the layout of the the program takes a little bit to get used to as it looks like a hybrid of a windows/office program and that of a pdf viewer program. Once you can wrap your head around it and get comfortable with the layout, you will be good to go. It also does not have all the "bells and whistles" of licensed programs but that is a trade off when using a free program. **Recommendations to others considering Foxit PDF Reader:** Maybe look at tweaking the layout just a tiny bit. **What problems is Foxit PDF Reader solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sometimes my fancy pdf editor/viewer is a bit glitchy, so I use foxit reader when I am in a pinch. It also came in very handy when working from home during the shelter in place as I can only access my other viewer from my desktop at work. This helped tremendously because although there were many areas that were shutdown, the construction industry did not stop as much of our work was considred "essential" - Public works jobs, low income housing and such. I switched because my Adobe Reader X stopped working and couldn't make it work again. At the time it was a lot faster than the Adobe one and practically the same thing since then I have switched computers 4 times and I'm still happy that it just works out of the box, no complications. **What do you dislike about Foxit PDF Reader?** It's freeware and because of that they try to sell you the paid version of their products or a link to other products and It's a valid strategy but for me, that just means that is taking little space of my screen in things I'm not going to use. I won't mind paying a few dollars to get that out of my screen but I don't need another PDF editor since I already have one I just want a reader so a paid upgrade without increased functionallity would be a nice option. We have to handle order acknowledgements, order confirmation, booking confirmations and many other documents related to the sale of our products. Thanks to Foxit we can give customers fast responses by editing these files within FoxIt Reader. When installing, we thought this would be a basic reader for PDFs, however, FoxIt showed us that the program is able to do so much more. We block certain elements in our documents for customers to see after completing their payment. Furthermore we sign documents digitally now thanks to Foxit. This saves us multiple trips to the printer. **What do you dislike about Foxit PDF Reader?** We all dislike one big element. The program is not made as a editor; we understand this, but we would wish a feature where the document can correct scanned documents and convert this into original looking documents. This way we can make adjustments without looking for the real document again in our computer. I can easily highlight text which can later be viewed in Microsoft Edge browser. It has tremendous number of feautures including snapshot, pdf editing, protecting pdf with digital sign, commenting, export-import comments, night mode, reading the document loud, document sharing and online notes. One of the exclusive feature is Foxit Drive which is a cloud service that can be used to save documents. **What do you dislike about Foxit PDF Reader?** The interface looks a bit old fashioned and the software consumes a bit more memory. The Foxit Drive is not free. When a document is highlighted within linux operating system and it is transported to a windows operating system we see an extra file (may be an intermediary raw file for highlighting), which can not be opened. This file creates a confusion with the original.
