As far as an in-field measure person where everything changes from house to house, having to take multiple pictures for each house several times a day, I would quit my job having to deal with this system. Text randomly dissapears, adding anymore than one picture takes too long and randomly crashes the system causing whatever hadn't been backed up to be lost causing the measure to have to be redone. (I dont get paid by the hour) having to input the name of the file to save, file AND send is incredibly anoying, talk to text doesn't work, and having to reduce file size EVERYTIME I send something!? Absolutely rediculous. The free reader version has everything one needs to view pdf files. **What do you dislike about Foxit PDF Editor?** We like to be able to easily edit pdf files. Sometimes we need to combine files, add a page, or rearrange the order. Adobe allows one to see a preview of the pages side by side and then add or rearrange these pages by dragging and dropping them into place. With Foxit, one needs to know what the page number is of the page you want to rearrange, then tell it if you want it before or after another page. It is not visual, and requires one to write down the page numbers and make notes before making the changes. While this is not a problem with small files, it is very cumbersome for large files. I also contacted customer service with a (different) question and never received a return call. **What problems is Foxit PDF Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted a more economical solution to editing pdf files. Literally 10/10. Good luck if anything goes wrong though. **What do you dislike about Foxit PDF Editor?** I paid for the Pro subscription, but it remained in trial mode, so I called customer support, no answer for two days and 7 calls. I used the chat feature, which is 100% A.I., and useless. Two days later, still no answers. Then, right when I REALLY needed the software, the trial ran out, so I gave up and purchased a SECOND subscription, which still didn't work; it stayed in trial mode, so after over six hours of total time trying vainly to get a person to answer me in some form or another, I got an email response which was the equivalent of "did you try unplugging it?" Somehow, two days later, the software magically went into paid mode, but I paid TWICE, and got no remedy for the second payment, no answers to specific questions, and somehow it went from pro to plus... To date, I am out $168.00 and I am going to have to dispute the credit card charge because NO ONE WILL ANSWER ME!!! I am looking for an alternative to using this wothless company. But thankfully I tested the form filling function prior to going to any patient home, or I'd have lost ALL my work and would've had to return to get their signature again. The second I lock my iPad and reopen it, ALL of my written input in the form in Foxit is erased. I'm not talking about sending the app to the background or force closing it. Simply locking my iPad with the form still open. Nothing extra to add to it though. **What do you dislike about Foxit PDF Editor?** When comparing the Adobe, Foxit seems lackluster. Not as user friendly, even the zoom feature on the toolbar has poor functionality. **What problems is Foxit PDF Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?** It was a changeover from Adobe to a new program. ### 24. But now it is way too overloaded and complicates to use. There is nothing great or best that has become of this software and compared to competitors it honestly sucks **What do you dislike about Foxit PDF Editor?** I dislike all of the extras and how hard its became to simply just edit documents with your software. I feel like if older "lite" version was brought back it in a more simplified way as fox it started, it would be amazing. **What problems is Foxit PDF Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?** Previously it helped me edit contracts from client to cliejt and terms of conditions from client to client. Now it doesnt help at all. It has not made my business more productive nor has it increased any performance since it updated about 2 years ago. ### 25. I do not find anything about it helpful. **What do you dislike about Foxit PDF Editor?** It doesn't save correctly. It doesn't print correctly. **What problems is Foxit PDF Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is not solving any problems. It seems to create new ones that I never had with Adobe and didn't know existed. I deleted Foxit from my computer and asked my IT department to allow me to re-install Adobe instead. ### 26. It works way better than Acrobat for a whole less money. The functionality and ease of use is out of this world. If it wasn't for the boondoggle that is their licensing, I would have completely given this product a 10. But the licensing brings it down a few notches. **What do you dislike about Foxit PDF Editor?** The licensing. I have worked with Microsoft Licensing in the past, and that is one baroque environment, full of complications and crenelations. The Foxit licensing is even worse. The salespeople don't know what to sell you. The support people don't know how to fix it. In the meantime, I have spent an insane amount of time communicating via email to solve this issue. All the while, I have spent hours upon hours working on trying to activate licenses for my users. I have less than 20 users, and I have spent maybe 20-25 hours in the past two weeks working on getting them signed in to Foxit because every day something else goes wrong. When I try to access support ... then the pain really begins. Of course, since their phone support sucks camel's testicles, you can only communicate via email. This means that any issue will take days if not weeks to be resolved, especially when it comes to the gold-plated, polished turd that is the licensing system. The agents don't read the tickets, so I have to keep repeating myself every time they try to communicate. I provide ALL the documentation, and they still ask me inane questions. When they finally think they got it, they do a change to my licensing. I have had my licensing plans changed no less than 4 times already, and it is still not working right. Great product, epically and unnecessarily complicated licensing. NO ONE IN THE COMPANY KNOWS HOW THE LICENSING WORKS. NO ONE. **Recommendations to others considering Foxit PDF Editor:** Grill the sales person. speak with them. explain exactly what you need. Make sure you get different quotes for different products. Don't purchase a thing until you've talked with a human being. **What problems is Foxit PDF Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?** We don't have to buy any Adobe products. Foxit PDF Editor Pro takes care of everything, and when it works its absolutely fantastic. However, for every one user that it works for, I have 2 more users that need to have their licensing fixed that day because for some reason, they can't log in, or it won't take their credentials, or it will ask to install the already installed software again. ### 27. However, the function did not work as expected. **What do you dislike about Foxit PDF Editor?** Foxit did not function as expected. It did not recognize actual words in the PDFS - words were consistently split into syllables which were then flagged as mistakes. So, for instance, if you look at a word like consistent, it would recognize "consist," but flag "ent" as a spelling mistake. This made the spell check function - the only reason I tried Foxit - useless to me. **What problems is Foxit PDF Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?** Without the benefit of the spell check function, I have gone back to my other PDF editor. ### 28. I would have liked to find things easier, more intuitive I guess, although I am very new to a full version of PDF software ( I have only used Reader before now) It drove me NUTS every time I tried to edit a doc it kept telling me that the OCR was blah, blah, blah...and I would try to fix it, googled answers, asked for online help... it just NEVER SEEMED TO WORK without a lot of extra junk. **Recommendations to others considering Foxit PDF Editor:** I guess it's probably a great software for people who are steeped in pdf but for me it never became anything I could use without a wall of frustration. **What problems is Foxit PDF Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?** None. No problems solved.
