Just like open source software leveled the playing field in application development, FOSS Cloud is on its way to give more freedom and better competitiveness to infrastructure solutions. We are a small company, but have had success with setting up virtual machines and moving away from VMware. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about FOSS-Cloud? The learning curve was a bit of a challenge to get started. We got through it. Also, the stigma of using open source and not industry-standard products. But, that was the case when Linux came on the scene. And PHP and python... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is FOSS-Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you? First and foremost... cost. Secondly, and probably more important, we can expand the scope of our projects knowing we don't have to deal with vendors to handle critical infrastructure systems. I do not like having to compromise functionality or make changes to our big goals because I'm worried about pricing models. There is freedom when we do things in-house. Thank you. There are many cloud service providers. In the current generation, the majority of things work on the cloud.
