From my experience working on system architectures and migrations, I especially appreciate how straightforward it is to deploy across cloud and hybrid infrastructures, which makes it a good fit for modern microservices and distributed systems. The centralized management, advanced threat protection, and deep traffic inspection also deliver solid network visibility and control, without introducing significant additional complexity. **What do you dislike about FortiGate-VM NGFW?** One thing I find challenging about FortiGate-VM NGFW from Fortinet is that the initial setup, as well as configuring more advanced features, can involve a steep learning curve. You get Firewall,VPN, IPS, web filtering, app control, etc. It’s also really solid in virtual and cloud setups. Whether it’s VMware, AWS, or Azure, it spins up fast and behaves exactly like the physical FortiGates. **What do you dislike about FortiGate-VM NGFW?** It can feel clunky at first. The interface isn’t bad, but it’s busy. If you’re new to FortiOS, menus and options don’t always feel intuitive, you’ll click around a bit before you know where things actually are. **What problems is FortiGate-VM NGFW solving and how is that benefiting you?** FortiGate-VM gives me one place to handle security instead of juggling multiple tools. Firewall, VPN, and threat protection are all together, so management is simpler and faster. There is a steep learning curve **What problems is FortiGate-VM NGFW solving and how is that benefiting you?** The vpn solution (forticlient) can be very hard to troubleshoot where bottlenecks and stability issues are coming from.
