The front end - Survey Builder - is fairly easy to use, but the piece I like best is being able to write, copy, and modify code directly in the .xml file. It also makes it easy to share a project with someone else (have more than one person tackling a section of a survey at the same time). The .xml files don't require an internet connection, so as long as you know how to write the code, you can do so while offline and save it to the program at a later time. Also, the support team is capable and responsive. **What do you dislike about Forsta?** If you're coming from a more intuitive and easy platform, the learning curve can be steep. When I first started using Decipher, I had no knowledge of Python or any other programming languages. It was sometimes difficult to understand how the code was written - but on that note, one advantage is that you can program something in the Survey Builder and then look in the .xml to see the code behind it. Another downside is that Decipher is more expensive than other platforms I've used. **Recommendations to others considering Forsta:** This is a great platform for experienced programmers and those that are looking to improve their skills. It's probably not the easiest platform to begin with, but there is a lot of information in their Knowledge Base articles, and the support team is great. **What problems is Forsta solving and how is that benefiting you?** Decipher is better at handling complex logic than other online platforms, and you can see the code and how questions / logic are written - so many times you're learning as you go. Our clients like being able to see and edit crosstabs themselves. ### 4. Granted, once you find the right page the content is fairly comprehensive. While I like the flexibility of the platform, the Style features of the questions IS SO FRUSTRATING. Why can't I apply multiple styles? Building is intuitive and straightforward, the crosstabs function is powerful and easy to understand, the rest of the tools are integrated seamlessly, there are plenty of help desk articles in case you need them, and support is always there if you need it. In all, extremely pleased with the platform. **What do you dislike about Forsta?** Other than one or two unique cases in which the knowledge base articles haven't been able to answer my question, I haven't found much that I dislike.
