Webmerge is incredibly powerful. We keep coming up with ways to use it to help automate our business. Today we use it to custom generate all of our proposals, contracts, and some custom display sheets. Once these are generated, they are delivered directly into our Google Drive or Dropbox folders. It does not get any easier than that! We also now intend to use it for invoicing and other financial related tasks.

Really not much. I will warn some that if you really want to expose its power, you will need to have some programming skills (basic - nothing very difficult). The structured yet flexible way that the system allows me to use our data better. We've built our own internal systems before but always felt the report we could produce from those systems was too limited without external development support. WebMerge allows us to build those reports in Office templates and then link them to our internal systems. The debug mode makes setting up the templates so easy. I volunteer as a CASA and while helping them build a new website I discovered that a lot of things could be made easier by using Podio. But, with that, came some pitfalls like creating documents automatically. I found WebMerge in the extensions list and didn't really even bother trying it before I knew... I knew it was going to do exactly what I needed! I contacted them and asked for some help and it was provided even after hours via email. Very impressed so far! I do actually wish you could hand-type fields in a document to be merged instead of needing to do a full on merge first, but it's not the end of the world. Something similar to BBcode / shortcodes would be great to manually add into a quick document to be merged. Certainly not a deal breaker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
