What do you like best about Formstack Documents?

The tool works exactly as expected and enables me to do something that would otherwise have been impossible without expensive web design. "Extremely powerful tool for automating your business"

What do you like best about Formstack Documents?

Webmerge is incredibly powerful. We keep coming up with ways to use it to help automate our business. Today we use it to custom generate all of our proposals, contracts, and some custom display sheets. Once these are generated, they are delivered directly into our Google Drive or Dropbox folders. It does not get any easier than that! We also now intend to use it for invoicing and other financial related tasks.

The last thing I will say about them is that their support is very responsive and knowledgeable. You will get an answer very quickly! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Formstack Documents?

Really not much. I will warn some that if you really want to expose its power, you will need to have some programming skills (basic - nothing very difficult). Most of the things you would need to do are formatting variables with custom field maps or building simple loops. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Formstack Documents:

I would do a trial and see how this can help you automate some portion of your business. Try connecting it to other things via Zapier or other integration tools - it works great! I don't think you will be disappointed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Formstack Documents?

The structured yet flexible way that the system allows me to use our data better. We've built our own internal systems before but always felt the report we could produce from those systems was too limited without external development support. WebMerge allows us to build those reports in Office templates and then link them to our internal systems. The debug mode makes setting up the templates so easy. What do you like best about Formstack Documents?

I volunteer as a CASA and while helping them build a new website I discovered that a lot of things could be made easier by using Podio. But, with that, came some pitfalls like creating documents automatically. I found WebMerge in the extensions list and didn't really even bother trying it before I knew... I knew it was going to do exactly what I needed! I contacted them and asked for some help and it was provided even after hours via email. Very impressed so far! What do you dislike about Formstack Documents?

I do actually wish you could hand-type fields in a document to be merged instead of needing to do a full on merge first, but it's not the end of the world. Something similar to BBcode / shortcodes would be great to manually add into a quick document to be merged. Certainly not a deal breaker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Formstack Documents:

Don't be afraid to play. If you are working with a Word doc, create your document, do a new mail merge and add your fields. Then just don't add anything to the merge info. It's difficult to grasp if you do mail merges a lot because you actually don't complete the process. You just create the fields, insert them, then save the document. You will end up with a blank merge file as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Formstack Documents solving and how is that benefiting you?

CASA must submit case reports to District Attorneys, Judges, family attorneys.... A CASA volunteer can now submit a report on the website and the information will be found in multiple Podio apps and emailed to the CASA office from WebMerge as a Word document for any small minor adjustments.
