Depending on what you are looking to merge (if it is on multiple objects) the setup may require developer help, having an admin friendly query / code generator would be helpful. The UI is one of the best out there and it's so much easy to use. Creating forms by drag & drop and then integrating the form to the document is magical.

While it does validate your code when you upload the document, there is no debugging system where it will identify where the issues are in the document which means there is a lot of time wasted looking for it. As someone with a background in engineering having the ability to automate document creation was a no brainer. I hired a professional designer to create a Word template that I can use over and over again. Now, I have some code that pushes data to Documents and a few seconds later, I have the brand new created document in a Google Drive folder. I like Formstack because it is an easy-to-use platform with a wide variety of options for creating documents. What I find most interesting is that you can import documents and do not modify the structure of them, it is even possible to edit them and keep the document fonts. Also, it is affordable. There are so many ways to customize it to your business no matter if you are looking to create contracts, invoices, presentations, personalized marketing they can do it. I appreciate the amount of testing they allow prior to merging live which helps you feel confident about the final merged document. The only thing I would change about it is the main website and maybe stating what it can and can't do. Almost like showing real-life examples of something like a contract process and where WebMerge fits into that cycle. They should also really highlight the vast amount of integrations they have.
