"Gets the job done but setup needs some work to make it user friendly"

What do you like best about Formstack Documents?

I have used Formstack Documents in association with Formstack forms. The functions allowed me to generate a document and then send it for signatures using Docusign. Without Formstack documents I would have just sent the form for signatures which doesn't serve my purpose. So, I like the fact that I am able to create a document as per my needs. What do you dislike about Formstack Documents?

Setting up the documents while merging it with forms took a bit of back and forth with the support team. I'm pretty sure the setup could be made a bit more user friendly. The pricing is way too high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Formstack Documents?

Support for Smarty syntax in the document templates which helps us massage the field inputs in many ways that reduce/eliminate the amount we have to manually adjust. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing really comes to mind. The learning curve can be as easy or strenuous as you want it to be depending on your use-case and expectations of final output. It's very dynamic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Formstack Documents:

Formstack Documents has been the peanut butter to our Formstack Forms jelly. They go hand-in-hand for us. We've had both since inception and the customizability of both independently and together is invaluable. We have so much more control over our document generation where things are more streamline/standardized in form and in aesthetics. We heavily use the Smarty syntax templating language to further refine the way our submitted data looks and functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Formstack Documents solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have put so many fillable PDFs out to pasture, and it's been amazing. We have drastically reduced our issues with folks submitting various versions of forms because, with Formstack, it's always current! We've nixed a significant amount of people doing it the "old way," where they'd fill out a paper form, scan it to email and then put it in its respective digital folder. "Auto-generating documents from formstack submissions is the best"

What do you like best about Formstack Documents?

Formstack documents has provided us with the best solution to generate documents based on form submissions. Being a construction company, we have our teams who go on the field and fill the forms. Formstack docs has reduced their work of editing pdfs and generating reports. They fill their forms/submissions and, within minutes, have their reports emailed to them. What do you dislike about Formstack Documents?

I like formstack docs, but I think every product has room for improvement. I feel if formstack docs can develop a way to have multiple fields recognized in a single box on a fillable pdf, just like how we can do that on a regular pdf, that would be the best thing. It's difficult to update forms without data missing . Wish there was a way to track exactly which webpage someone filled out the form. We have the same form embedded on different pages but we are unable to track exactly where they came from Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
