I use these forms inside a coaching program, so how the form feels to the client really matters. The slide-style layout, conditional logic, and clean design make the whole process feel more professional than Google Forms, while still being simple enough for me to manage. I also appreciate that I can connect responses to Google Sheets and, with my plan, remove the Formly branding. **What do you dislike about Formly?** The main downside for me is that the form builder takes a while to understand, especially when I’m recreating forms from another tool and setting up conditional logic. I also found the default design pretty basic, so it needs some customization before it feels truly polished. Overall, it’s a strong tool, but I’d like the onboarding experience and the templates to be a bit more refined. **What problems is Formly solving and how is that benefiting you?** Formly helps me turn client forms into a more professional, guided experience. I use it inside a coaching program for onboarding, assessments, exercises, and follow-up forms. Compared with basic tools like Google Forms, Formly feels cleaner, more polished, and better suited to a paid client journey. The biggest benefit for me is being able to guide clients step by step with conditional logic, remove branding, and send responses to Google Sheets for review and automation. It saves me from having to build a custom system, while still giving clients a smoother overall experience. ### 2. Since I've been using Typeform for years, there was a zero learning curve for me when working with Formly. The initial setup was very easy, which was a big plus. **What do you dislike about Formly?** I would love to be able to have more control over font size. There were areas I wanted to make smaller and bigger but was restricted to preset font sizes based on either being questions or headers. I attempted to use the AI to generate the form but the questions it created were terrible. **What problems is Formly solving and how is that benefiting you?** Formly lets me filter job candidates based on skills and experience. It's similar to Typeform, so there was no learning curve, making it easy to use. ### 3. Additionally, I use it effectively with email capture campaigns. **What do you dislike about Formly?** I don't like how to make formulas within forms in Formly. Because it works with variables, putting slightly more complex equations becomes very complicated, whereas it could be much simpler like in Excel. **What problems is Formly solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Formly to make functional reports in the health field. If I want to insert a subline under a button, color individual buttons, or adjust the line height of the texts... well, that's not possible. But it's better that it works than getting bogged down. The initial setup was also pretty easy. **What do you dislike about Formly?** I'm having trouble integrating the results to my email provider. I currently have the Google Sheets integration set up, but it's clumsy. I also wish the email address block could be included on the results page and not a separate step that must be completed before the quiz-taker can view their results. **What problems is Formly solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Formly because other quiz makers didn’t let me match responses with results. Additionally, the integration process with other software, like when I previously used FormRobin, was smooth, which speaks to Formly's ability to seamlessly integrate into my operations. Overall, my experience with Formly has been positive enough that I can recommend it to others. **What do you dislike about Formly?** I found connecting the CNAME for the custom domain initially difficult, which was a bit challenging during the setup. Additionally, there were some glitches like the metadata being present but not yet activated. Although the support team promised to resolve these issues, it's something I encountered. Ever since then i really wanted to leverage the power of forms. Formly is very user friendly, allowing me to make quiz funnels using a variety of premade slide types such as short text, long text, star ratings, choose a picture. The logic to connect the forms not requiring coding skills adds to the appeal. **What do you dislike about Formly?** Formly supports collecting payments but...it only supports Stripe which is not available in South Africa. We need Paystack or Payfast. **What problems is Formly solving and how is that benefiting you?** The implementation of quiz funnels in paid media. ### 8. So far so good. Some of the UI/UX could be better. It's the first quiz platform I'm using and I chose it because it seemed to offer more complex scoring that I needed. It is simple to use which is good. **What do you dislike about Formly?** Embedding currently isn't working for some reason. And so a sub-domain on their site is a necessary route. I really don't like this and think it's fair. Basically I feel I'm paying them to send them SEO. Seems very unethical and wrong. I can imagine if everyone else is doing this by no choice, their DR will increase. Again seems wrong. I needed to send a pdf to the client/lead, but you need to use some suite app that only offers 25 free pdfs. So, it's a connect to a 3rd party app. that if you want to use (more than 25 pdfs) you have to pay for a yearly subscription, which is a lot. **What problems is Formly solving and how is that benefiting you?** Still trying it out. Need to create an interactive quiz that requires logic and scoring. I will say my needs are complex, so I'm hoping it fulfills it. ### 10.
